Chapter 284: You Are Weak

"The Queen, a beautiful blonde-haired woman in a nun outfit, leaped gracefully into the air and slowly landed on the stage, her eyes still closed, maintaining an aura of serene power.

Eve, one of Sunny's fiercest commanders, climbed the stairs with professional focus and stopped twenty yards from her.

"Ok contestants! You know the rules, now!! Start!!" The commentator stated loudly.

WHOOSH!!!

"...?!"

Eve took a sharp step back as the ground directly in front of the Queen tore open. A shimmering gateway formed, and from it, a massive, ten-foot-tall Goblin burst out, holding a crudely long club.

"Summoning ability?" Eve muttered, momentarily stunned by the immediate aggression.

"Yes! That's the Queen! She is an Elf, but she always keeps that white veil over her face," an audience member whispered in surprise.

"She is also here for the competition? God Wolf is truly impressive, gathering such diverse talent." Another added in awe.

_

"Can she win this round?" Ericka asked from the royal box, confusion clouding her face.

"We are talking about someone personally cultivated by the King," Jinx stated, her tone dismissive of the Queen's chances:

"Eve, as one of the commanders, now possesses Spirit Energy, while the Queen only wields Celestial Energy. There is no way she will win, even with her summons."

"Exactly," Star agreed, folding her arms. "Summoners are strong, but once the summoner is neutralized, all the summons vanish. Eve will target the Queen first, that's the logical action."

"This battle is already decided," Ellen concurred, before turning to her father. "But Dad, why is Eve here? She is already your commander, and she certainly has money, so she isn't after basic rewards."

"Haha..." Sunny chuckled lightly, pleased by her sharp analysis.

"The five place winners gain Evolution Stones—items that can help upgrade their bloodline rank. This is what they're truly fighting over. Even my commanders have to prove themselves to me before gaining more, and Eve clearly discovered this is a simpler way to earn hers."

"But what about the other commanders? Sir Nioh, Sir Nicolas, and Miss Blood-eye?" Ellen pressed, curious why the others weren't present.

"They find competing boring," Sunny answered with a small smile, knowing their personalities well.

"Oh. Okay." Ellen finally nodded, satisfied, and turned her gaze back to the stage.

"Be grateful to lose in the hands of The Queen," the Queen muttered in a low, reverent voice, then pointed a finger at Eve.

"Take her off the stage," she commanded her Goblin.

BAM!!!!

The Goblin smashed its massive club onto the stage, creating deep, radial cracks.

GRAAAAA!!!

The huge creature charged forward while Eve stood absolutely still, waiting for it. The creature arrived, raising its club high to smash down, aiming to send the Dragoness flying off the stage.

"Weak," Eve scoffed, her disdain evident. "Sending a mere summon to fight me? Are you truly that weak?!"

Eve slammed her foot onto the ground. Instantly, the entire body of the charging Goblin burst into roaring, devastating dragon flames.

"...?!!"

The Queen was stunned. She watched helplessly as her powerful summon was incinerated, dissolving into black ash before it even reached Eve.

WHOOSH!!

Before the Queen could attempt another spell, Eve shot out from the dissipating smoke, moving with Divine Rank speed. She materialized in front of the Elf, grabbed her neck, and didn't stop moving until they reached the very edge of the stage.

"You...?" The Queen was utterly dumbfounded, unable to process the overwhelming difference in speed and power.

"Your summon ability is decent," Eve said, her grip firm. "But compared to the little princess, you're severely lacking in scale." Eve then let go, and the Queen plummeted from the stage.

"You actually think I can easily be taken down?!"

WHOOSH!!

Suddenly, a massive, swift-winged eagle—a second summon—shot into the air, catching the Queen and stabilizing her. "Are you comparing me to the princess?! She is just a kid! Although she is great, she can't win against me in summoning!" she yelled, looking down at Eve.

"You are really annoying," Eve sighed, her patience snapping. She opened her palm, and a small, delicate flaming butterfly appeared, crafted from pure dragon fire.

"I hope you can withstand my flames," Eve warned, her voice cold. "I don't want to kill you without knowing it."

With Eve's words, the butterfly took flight, darting toward the Queen with incredible speed.

"What the?! Shoot it down!" the Queen frantically commanded her eagle summon.

The eagle opened its beak and sent a concentrated blast of dark fireball energy toward the tiny butterfly.

WHOOSH!!

The fireball struck the target with precision, but what happened next horrified everyone.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The tiny butterfly exploded, unleashing a colossal wave of fire that completely enveloped the Queen and her massive eagle summon.

"AHHHH!!!!"

The Queen screamed in pain as she fell, crashing heavily onto the ground outside the stage boundaries. Half of her nun outfit was completely incinerated, revealing patches of severely burned skin beneath.

'Phew, thank goodness I only used 50% of my Spirit Energy,' Eve thought to herself, a cold calculation running through her mind. 'Otherwise, she would have died instantly.'

"The winner of this round is Miss Eve!! She advanced to the next stage!!" The commentator's voice boomed, drowning out the shocked murmurs.

"This commander is so powerful. The Queen couldn't even fight back," a woman in the crowd said in disbelief.

"All the contestants from the dragon nation are powerful. I can't wait to see the rest," a man added, a smile of anticipation on his face.

_

In the royal platform, Jinx frowned, her already impatient demeanor worsening.

"I can't believe Eve took this long to take down such a weak opponent," she said, her voice dripping with sheer disdain.

"...?!!"

The group in the royal platform, especially Ericka, Star, and Leon—turned to her in mild confusion and disbelief. Her statement seemed utterly unfair to the victor, but to Jinx, the waste of time was the greatest offense. Her development and mentally had made her intolerant of anything less than maximum efficiency.

'This girl is crazy.' Sunny thought Inwardly.
