Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 291: Above The Food Chain

[The Great World. Lester's Faction Territory.]

BOOOOOOM!!!

Four females and one male, all radiating the formidable aura of Third Order power—appeared above the sky. They stopped abruptly, raising their heads as the azure sky above them suddenly curdled and darkened to a shocking, vibrant blood-red.

BOOOOOOM!

The ground miles below them began to heave, shift, and crack under immense pressure. From the fissure, a colossal, blood-red castle, spiraled and studded with obsidian spikes, rose rapidly into the sky, settling where the air was stained crimson.

"Mistress is back," one of the ladies whispered in a tone of awe mixed with mild surprise. The speed of the resurrection was unexpected.

Just as they regained their composure, a commanding voice echoed directly inside their minds—not through sound, but through sheer, terrifying mental projection.

["My children, Come to my mansion in a day. We march soon."]

"...?!"

The five Third Order death were stunned into stillness. The projection was pure, unadulterated power.

"Mistress is calling us! We must not tarry." The man ripped a fissure in the space before them with a casual wave of his hand. Without hesitation, they plunged into the spatial tear, heading directly toward the Blood Queen's second stronghold.

[Madeleine's Garden, A Hidden Sanctuary.]

Madeleine gently placed her teacup down, staring thoughtfully at the disturbing red stain spreading across the sky.

"You have only just returned to full power, and you already anger me," she muttered, the corners of her mouth twitching in annoyance.

"You destroyed such a fine sword I have you. Well. You will have to compensate for it, when you return, Matilda."

She picked up her cup, taking a slow, deliberate sip. Her world was shifting rapidly: "First, the unexpected interference of my Mother. And now... this crazy woman reclaims her peak and will throws the entire balance into chaos again. The Lord must have already sensed this power fluctuation and sent her on her new mission." She exhaled softly.

"Anyway, forget it. I should focus on my own, critical mission."

She repeated the goal like a mantra: "Locating God Wolf."

___

[In a Secret Realm.]

"Keep fighting, guys! Don't hold back!" A young man named Qin Li, clad in gleaming black armor that bespoke wealth and status, yelled from a safe distance. He pointed his sword toward the central threat: a massive, ten-meter-tall Earth Golem that glowed with Second Order energy.

"Young Master! It's too powerful!" shouted a warrior, frantically sending concentrated fire attacks toward the Golem, which did little more than leave faint heat shimmer on its rocky hide.

"Stop complaining!" Qin Li berated them, his voice high-pitched with stress. "You are all First Order masters! And you're telling me you can't defeat this Second Order Boss?! Where is your pride, mercenaries!?" He carefully kept his distance, ensuring he wasn't within the Golem's sweep range.

"Ahh!"

A lady warrior, skilled with a battleaxe, let out a war cry, leaping high into the air, bringing her massive axe down on the Golem's shoulder:

BAM!!!

The collision was immense, but the force rebounded, throwing her backward to fall heavily onto the ground.

"Such strong defense... Even a God-Rank weapon can't inflict visible damage," a mercenary muttered, his face pale with fear and exhaustion.

"Young Master," another pleaded, "we got bad Intel. Let's retreat for now! We can regroup and come back stronger!"

"No! Absolutely not!" Qin Li screamed, his grip tightening on his sword.

"If we retreat, the Secret Realm will reset! All the monsters will respawn, and this Boss will get smarter! We must take it down now!"

'This is everything,' Qin Li thought, his teeth gritted.

'We humans are still low on the Great World's food chain. If we can kill this Boss, the rewards will give me the boost I need. I might even gain the resources to challenge for the vacant Throne in the human territories!'

He pointed his sword again, his voice cracking with desperation. "No running! If any of you dare to run away, I won't pay you for this contract, and you'll compensate me for breach of terms!" He quickly pulled a massive hunting bow from his spatial storage.

"Taste the strength of my God-Rank Bow! Fully infused with Mid-Grade Rune Stones!" he yelled, channeling his spirit energy to form a deadly, luminous arrow. He released it, aiming precisely for the Golem's head.

WHOOSH!!

The arrow flew with deadly, devastating accuracy and smashed into the skull of the Boss.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The creature stumbled backward, an agonizing sound of grinding stone echoing in the chamber. It finally collapsed, raising a huge cloud of dust and smoke that filled the air.

"Haha! I did it!" Qin Li shrieked in triumph, lowering his bow. "Nothing can survive my bow!"

"The Young Master is great!"

"Yes! He took it down with one hit!"

"Hahahaha! I didn't know the Qin Family Young Master had such a powerful weapon!"

The battered, bloodied mercenaries cheered, relieved smiles spreading across their faces.

BAM!!!

The cheers died in their throats.

"...?!!"

They all turned their heads. The Golem began to shift, moving again. Slowly, agonizingly, it pulled itself back to its feet.

"What the hell?!" Qin Li was stunned, staring at the deep, ragged hole in the Golem's skull left by his God-Rank weapon. The creature was damaged, but unmistakably alive.

"Fuck! If a Mid-Rune Stone God-Rank weapon can't take you down, what can?!" he yelled in disbelief, his arrogance dissolving into terror.

WHOOSH!!!

"...?!!"

Suddenly, the space directly between the bewildered fighters and the resurrected Golem tore open. A perfectly stable, silver-edged gateway materialized, separating them from the still-enraged Boss.

"....?!"

They all watched, dumbfounded, as two figures stepped out: a handsome man and a beautiful woman, both wearing simple, nondescript clothing. Their appearance was utterly human, utterly mundane, yet their presence seemed to flatten the ambient spiritual energy in the realm.

"...?!"

Qin Li was speechless.

"Watch out! There is a monster right behind you!" the lady with the battleaxe yelled, desperate to warn the clueless newcomers.

The gateway sealed itself. The Golem, enraged by the sudden appearance of new prey, ignored the other fighters. It let out a grinding roar, leaped into the air, and sent a devastating punch toward the two newcomers, aiming to crush them into paste.

Sunny didn't even turn his body completely. He merely glanced over his shoulder, his golden eyes meeting the Golem's vacant stare.

POOF.

Instantly, the ten-meter-tall Earth Golem shattered. Not into rubble, but disintegrated into countless fragments of rock and elemental dust, which rained down harmlessly over the bewildered fighters.

"...?!!!"

Qin Li and his entire group were struck silent, staring at the two figures as if they were demons from the depths of hell—or, more accurately, Gods newly descended to their realm. They had just witnessed a Second Order Boss, which had easily resisted a God-Rank weapon, be eliminated by a single, casual glance.
