Chapter 382: Mistress No. 6 (Part 2)

"Alright," Griss shook his head, "anyway, when I go to sleep tonight, I'm definitely going to have my protective shield on."

Yang Ming raised an eyebrow slightly, picked up a nearby drink and took a couple of swigs: "How's the situation, are we starting to engage with their patent bureau tomorrow?"

"According to their schedule, tomorrow is the official talks with the New Federation's government, and it will be hosted by a few young-looking senators," Griss laughed, "I guess those old geezers don't want to come out and make a fool of themselves."

"Senators?"

Yang Ming immediately became interested: "Give me the documents."

"Here," Griss operated his left wristband briefly, and Yang Ming's shell-shaped network terminal received an email.

A few seconds later, projections of seven or eight middle-aged men appeared in front of Yang Ming, each accompanied by a string of data.

"You call these young people?"

Yang Ming laughed and cursed:

"Aren't these all old guys?"

Griss shrugged: "Relatively speaking, they're already the young ones. To get a fixed seat in the two houses of the New Federation, none of them are easy characters."

Yang Ming studied the profiles of these seven or eight people carefully. Soon, a senator named Allison caught his interest.

First, judging from the resume, the rise of this person was rapid, and their family had no political background whatsoever.

Second, the document from the Imperial Military Intelligence Bureau specifically noted that the individual showed no political inclination before the age of thirty, yet suddenly started political activities.

Third, the timing of the individual's political foray was very close to when Yang Ming replaced Hanton.

Although these points don't prove anything, Yang Ming keenly sensed something unusual.

"Are they all coming tomorrow?"

"Uh-huh," Griss stretched lazily, "although it says tomorrow, it's actually six or seven Galaxy Time away. I'm going to check each room's outside, set up the night shifts then take a rest, you should rest early too."

"I'm fine," Yang Ming smiled, "I'm quite energetic."

"Alright then."

Griss snapped his fingers and leisurely left Yang Ming's room.

Yang Ming stared at the profile of Senator Allison for a while, wanting more information, but the intelligence bureau's archive was already empty.

This was because they were a senator of the New Federation, so the intelligence bureau kept some records.

Alright then, I'll rely on myself anyway.

Following a pre-agreed arrangement with Lyu, Yang Ming took out a brand-new floating ball-style network terminal, linked his biometric information, and connected to the planetary network of New Federation Minter City.

The network speed was quite fast, much more responsive than the Empire's unified network.

Yang Ming quietly waited for a few minutes, as a series of ad projections appeared on the page.

Soon, Yang Ming clicked on an ad, filled in some information, and after triple-checking, sent the ad out.

All of this was under the New Federation's surveillance.

—There aren't any monitoring devices in this room, this refers to the network being monitored.

Yang Ming glanced at his watch, got up and walked to the wardrobe, where clothes were neatly arranged by the hotel robot.

He changed into a trench coat, put on a pair of luxurious real leather boots, wore a top hat, and swaggered out of the room.

"Sir!"

"Hmm," Yang Ming said, "I'm going to the hotel lobby to pick someone up, you all come with me."

"Yes!"

The soldiers from the secret unit didn't ask any questions, following Yang Ming with their heads down. After arriving at the lobby, they quickly occupied advantageous shooting positions, guarding against any potential attacks from any direction.

The security personnel at the hotel entrance were immediately alerted.

A commander walked towards Yang Ming and asked in a low voice: "Excuse me, do you have any requirements?"

"Nothing," Yang Ming said, "one of my subordinates is coming soon, I'm just waiting for her here."

"Subordinate?"

"An agent from the intelligence bureau," Yang Ming said with a smile, "just like you, always deploying high-ranking operatives in the Emperor Star Circle and even on Emperor Star's surface."

The commander frowned tightly, eyeing Yang Ming carefully: "Mr. Ghost, doing this is somewhat disrespectful of the consensus we previously reached..."

"Alright then, I'll rephrase," Yang Ming shrugged, "I have a fan coming over, you know, I can't refuse the enthusiastic requests of fans, since I'm an idol."

The commander shook his head: "I'm sorry, we can't allow you to contact suspicious individuals, it's for your own protection."

"I was just politely informing you," Yang Ming smiled, "if you dare to take any obstructive actions, I'll livestream the event right here for the Empire's citizens to see how one can achieve a hundred-senator sweep in Minter City."

"You!"

"General, I don't wish to use any mental control on you," Yang Ming's expression turned colder, "I'm calling you General out of respect for the New Federation, but if you don't want my respect, I can use another title."

The General's breathing became slightly heavier.

He stared intently at Yang Ming, but ultimately said nothing.

Some commotion arose on the street outside the hotel, and a voice from the commander's collar reported:

"General, there's a call girl claiming... to be summoned by the White Ghost here, um..."

Yang Ming watched the General closely with a smile.

The General took a deep breath: "Let her come into the hotel, move the scanners over, and notify the press to disseminate this news across the entire Milky Way!"

"Yes, General!"

Yang Ming nodded with a smile: "The General is indeed reasonable."

"Hmph!"

The General left with a gloomy face.

Shortly after, surrounded by a group of soldiers, a beautiful girl in a high-slit strapless gown appeared at the hotel entrance.
