"Someone is writing in the sky?"
Nanu chuckled and shook his head, not paying much attention, treating it as his daughter's joke.
He checked his equipment again, preparing to leave, while softly saying:
"Charlott, be good. There is a sick Prism outside, so there can't be anyone in the sky... You must stay home, just like before, quietly without making any sound. Understand?"
The little girl turned her head at his words, nodded obediently first, and then continued the previous topic:
"Daddy, but I really saw someone outside writing in the sky..."
Nanu paused and then showed a somewhat helpless expression, retreating back inside.
He was afraid that his daughter might scream and attract Savardo after he left, so he decided to close the window.
As for someone writing in the sky, he didn't take it seriously at all.
Maybe his daughter really saw something, but at most, it's just clouds.
Children often see clouds as all sorts of imaginative things, which is quite normal, isn't it?
"Charlott, you need to stay home and not open the window, okay?"
He gently moved his daughter aside, then reached out to close the window in front of him.
But his action stopped halfway, suspended in mid-air.
Perhaps out of curiosity, Nanu instinctively glanced at the sky while closing the window.
And it was this glance that left him utterly shocked.
"What, what is that...?"
After being stunned for quite a while, he finally came to his senses, looking at the scene before him with disbelief.
In the crimson sky, a small patch of silver-white light was flickering, faintly visible.
The area wasn't large, seemingly originating from space, slightly smaller than Guleng Star's moon.
As a citizen of the Constant Star System civilization, Nanu was no stranger to seeing spacecraft and other items in space.
Even before this apocalypse, he had traveled with his daughter to the Empire's planets for fun.
But Nanu had never heard of a spacecraft capable of being easily recognized from the ground.
Moreover, with the current status of the Crimson Apocalypse, no spacecraft or space station should still be operational.
Nanu's mind raced with thoughts but ultimately he couldn't reach any conclusion.
He rubbed his eyes and continued to focus on the silver light.
As a cloud blocking the field of view drifted away, he finally saw the pattern clearly.
"These... really are a line of text..."
Nanu turned around incredulously to glance at his daughter.
The latter looked at him with a dumbfounded expression, unaware of why her father suddenly changed this way.
"Charlott was right. There really is someone writing in the sky..."
Nanu never imagined that something he thought was just a child's joke would turn out to be true, and so incredible.
Even before, attempting to write such a large text visible on the ground from space would be impossible, let alone now in these times.
However, despite the eeriness of it all, it was happening right before his eyes, leaving him no choice but to believe.
"Star Alliance... Camp... Central Continent... Number... Building..."
The weather wasn't particularly good today; Nanu spent considerable effort to read the text's content.
"This... this is a road sign!"
His eyes revealed astonishment as he subconsciously looked in a direction indicated by the sign.
"Incredibly, it's right near us...!"
Nanu clenched his teeth tightly, appearing to be deep in thought.
Putting aside his inner shock and disbelief, his mind was now in a chaotic state.
He didn't care who left those words in the sky or how it was done.
Now, what he found difficult to believe was that the world he thought had plunged into desolation, and where he gradually lost hope of survival.
If not for his daughter's presence, he might have chosen to end his life like many others.
But suddenly someone was telling him that there was rescue nearby, and he just needed to go there to get help.
This made it hard for him to adjust his mindset, feeling a bit bewildered.
Nanu didn't know what the Star Alliance was, but a camp capable of such feats surely wasn't something simple.
This made him hesitate whether he should take his daughter there.
Thinking about the gradually depleting resources nearby, he felt anxious.
If things continued this way, he wouldn't be able to find food soon.
Unless he ventured deeper into the more concentrated areas of Savardo; otherwise, the fish in the outskirts would soon be gone.
But those areas were extremely dangerous, and if something happened to him, there's only one outcome awaiting his daughter.
