Kuziman burst into wild laughter. Although his body was lifted into the air by Lynch's arm, he showed no sign of accepting defeat. The old mage tightly grasped Lynch's refined gold arm, using all his strength to try to twist it. But his lich claws couldn't make it budge an inch nor leave the slightest mark on it.
"Do you think you can kill me like this?" Kuziman glared at Lynch, waving his fists, "Even if you destroy this body, I will be reborn from the ashes. Stronger and more vicious than before! Between you and me, the victor was decided from the start, but it won't be you, absolutely not you!"
"You are in no position to shout at me now, Kuziman... Sir," Lynch said calmly, "Do you still believe that master of yours, the serpent, will come to save you? Or do you think you can find a safe haven in this small world? Remember, now you've become a lich, an undead, you're destined to be hunted by every mage in the world. You evil traitor, tell me! What did you gain by sacrificing thousands of lives in Moon Harbor City? A position trailing behind the serpent's tail?"
"Lynch, you make me laugh. You are truly pathetic," Kuziman stopped struggling, knowing he could not break free from Lynch's refined gold arm. The lich mage looked up at his colleagues floating in the sky and shouted, "You're all pathetic! The tide of history will wash you all away. In the face of progress, you are nothing but a bunch of pitiful fools!"
"How long do you intend to continue this charade, Kuziman?" Lynch violently shook his left arm, causing the old mage's entire body to sway, making a clattering noise. Lynch suppressed his anger and said, "Don't think your identity as a lich can save you. I'll tell you the truth, I have a knack for dealing with the undead—the Undead Magic Bead is in my hands!"
"The Undead Magic Bead?" Kuziman withdrew his gaze from the sky to Lynch's face, then followed his gaze to find the Undead Magic Bead embedded at the top of the powerful wand. He suddenly began to struggle again, trying to push Lynch's arm away and wrench himself from this refined gold prison. Seeing this, Lynch shouted, "Stop!"
"It seems you've gained a slight advantage," Kuziman squinted, but those counterfeit layers of skin were peeling off the lich's framework. He said, "Lynch, you've already defeated me, why not continue? More great mages await their challenge, don't waste magic power on me."
"Oh, Kuziman, Kuziman, you indeed have your own advantages to trade," Lynch shook his head and then said, "As you said before, 'Let's talk like sensible men.' Tell me: what's the serpent's next move? Where is he hiding?"
Kuziman shook his head, gritting his teeth, "You will know what you're desperate to find out, but only after you see your own grave!" He suddenly pointed at Lynch's face, commanding the monster behind him, "Death Abomination! Kill this man!"
The Abomination immediately charged in, engulfed in flames of fury. Its eyes shone with a ravenous light, the previous fumble only made it hungrier, intensifying its desire to tear the mage in front of it to pieces and devour him.
"Foolish creature!" Lynch concentrated, swung Kuziman from his arm towards the Abomination, and swiftly pulled out a scroll from his chest, rapidly unfurling it in mid-air. Kuziman let out a cry of agony before being chomped to pieces by the Abomination's wide-open mouth, disappearing into the belly of the beast. After having this appetizer, the Death Abomination became more excited. It raised its hand, and a net composed of lightning was summoned.
Lynch threw a lightning spear, but it couldn't harm the Abomination's body in the slightest, only the subsequent explosion slowed the monster's speed a bit. The lightning capture net came crashing down on Lynch, forcing the mage to stop time and move out of its attack range.
The lightning net smashed onto the ground, but something unexpected happened. The attacked ground directly vanished within the net, like a big apple bitten into, leaving a forcefully carved-out hole in front of all the great mages.
