My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 576

"It's so huge! I can't even lift it!" Anna exclaimed.

"You don't need to lift it. Just put it somewhere, like a table, and all you have to do is touch it while meditating, I think," Anton told his sister.

Anders and Supreme Munetta looked at the huge spear in awe, for the weapon did resemble one of those legendary weapons wielded by powerful heroes. The runes written on the handle of the weapon glowed with an ethereal light, imbuing the whole weapon with mystical might. It even emitted some form of pressure to those who viewed it, the same as the Heart of the Oak runeword mace and the Enigma runeword armor that Anton gave his father.

Anton placed the Insight Spear on the table, and Anna sat beside it. She touched and looked highly surprised.

"I feel it! I feel the same spell that you surrounded us with when we were memorizing our spells!" Anna exclaimed, then she frowned a bit.

"It's a little different, though. It felt a little weaker," Anna mused.

"Yes. The spell is called Meditation Aura, and the one that came from me is more powerful compared to the one that is inscribed on the weapon, but it should still be powerful enough to help you in ranking up your wizardly power. Do you feel anything else?" Anton asked.

"I feel more powerful touching it! Not only that, for some reason, I feel like I'm in control of some sort of grouping system. It's like I'm suddenly a leader, and I can add up to seven people to my group by just thinking about it. I don't see any details. All of those are just feelings! It's so weird!" Anna said.

"It's called a party system. While you are touching it, you can be a leader of a party system and can add up to seven people to your party. The eight people in your party system will be the ones affected by the Meditation Aura. I would recommend that you be discreet in using the weapon since you have experienced the envy and greed that it could stir in others. That legendary spear is called Insight."

"I understand. I will be the only one who will be using it."

"I will also be discreet and study it by myself," Supreme Munetta promised.

Anton and Anders really didn't believe Anna's teacher, but since the situation had come to this, they just let it go. At the very least, Anna should be able to rank up quickly.

"Can Anna just stay here in the manor most of the time and just go to the academy for some supplementary lessons?" Anton asked.

"No! I still want to study with my friends!" Anna shouted.

Anton just shrugged, and Anders pacified Anna and told her that she didn't have to return home. Anna kept glaring at Anton, though. After that, Anna stored the Insight Spear in her spatial item, and she and her teacher returned to the magic academy immediately. It was as if she were scared that Anton would persuade their father to keep her home.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

"Will the weapon endanger her?" Anton asked his father.

"Being a student of the academy, the teachers there should protect her, since if she comes to harm, not only would it affect the school's reputation, but the supreme wizards that went with us in delving the 1st level of that high-level dungeon are aware of your combat ability."

"Tomorrow, let's go to the mid-level dungeon, Father, so we can test if the Meditation Aura can help you level up faster," Anton told his father, and Anders nodded.

For the rest of the day, Anton and Anders did everything they could to settle the remaining business that they had to do to make sure that the manor was stable. Anders went to his group to plan their next step while Anton cast the Blizzard spell converted into Mana Rain towards the garden and the fruit orchard. Anton had to make sure that the garden and the orchard were well-watered to the point of causing minor flooding, which wasn't a problem since the soil seemed to greedily absorb the water immediately.

The next day, Anton and Anders went to the Balathar Dungeon early. Everyone in the manor knew that there was a possibility that the father and son adventure might take a long time since Anders warned them.

When they arrived at the Balathar Dungeon, they didn't waste any more time, acquired a dungeon key from the Adventurer Guild branch, and immediately entered the 10th floor when it was their turn to enter.

The 10th floor of the Balathar dungeon was a desert setting, and the heat immediately made Anton uncomfortable.

Anton summoned all of his summons, then he set up his tent on top of his Dire Bear, immediately activating a Frozen Orb air conditioner item inside while ignoring his father's glare. The plan was, Anders would fight the monsters one at a time while the summons held off the other monsters. The Shadow Master and the Valkyrie were specifically assigned to make sure that Anders wouldn't be hurt.

Anton would be inside his tent, cooled by his Frozen Orb item, with the Meditation Aura active.

The first group of monsters they had encountered was ten desert scorpions. When Anton saw that his summons were able to handle the monsters with ease and that his father was battling with one of the scorpions without any issue while he was being closely looked at by the Shadow Master and the Valkyrie, Anton closed the door of the tent and concentrated on leveling up his newly created ladder Necromancer.

After around 20 minutes, Anton heard his father calling him, so he exited his Diablo II system and went outside. Anton saw that all of the scorpions were dead, while Anders looked haggard but safe while glaring at him.

"Did you get hurt, Father?"

"No! I'm thirsty. Give me some of your magic water and cast the spell that removes tiredness," Anders shouted at his son.

Anton just laughed. He understood perfectly why his father was in a foul mood. He was living a great life inside his tent while his father worked his ass off killing monsters under a hot fake sun. He immediately filled a pitcher of cold mana water, then gave it to his father then activated his Vigor Aura.

After a minute, Anders looked refreshed.

"It's effective. Your meditation aura allowed me to level up fast. Just that group of monsters made me level up once, which is unbelievably fast. Let's go ahead and continue."

"Before we continue, let's talk about something. Since we've proven that the Meditation Aura is effective, do you want the legendary weapon Insight as well? You can have some of your men that you trusted to follow you, have them hold the Insight Weapon while you're in a group. That will allow the people inside the weapon's party system to level up quickly."

"Why can't I just wield it myself?"

"The Heart of the Oak is much more powerful, so you will have to continue using it as your main weapon. I guess you can tie it on your back or something, but that will be cumbersome and may affect your battle prowess."

"Can you provide me with that weapon now?"

"No. It will take me at least a month."

"Then I'll decide what to do, then. Let's go ahead and continue."

For the next several hours, Anders battled with the monsters, supported by Anton's summon while Anton was inside his cool tent, leveling up his Necromancer character until nighttime had arrived.
