My Favorite Game Followed Me!

Chapter 584

Anton spent the next four days doing what he called the gold dungeon runs, earning 220,000 gold coins from the sale of medium-level mana stones. The 18 high-level mana stones that he acquired were added to his growing number of high-level mana stones he kept in his inventory. His ladder Druid character leveled up to 65.

Once he returned home to the Rose Manor, Anton immediately added the gold coins to the large chest that was in the room, bringing the total gold coins to more or less 1.4 million. He knew that after a while, he wouldn't know how many gold coins the treasure room had, since the two businesses that the manor ran were also starting to store some gold coins there.

Due to the large number of gold coins, Raymond and Romina became very strict in handling the defense and security of the treasure room. At that moment, the only ones who had access to the room were Anders, Anton, Anna, Raymond, and Romina.

When Anton learned that the treasure room was now guarded 24/7 by guards in shifts, he just shook his head and let them be. The treasure room contained a massive amount of gold coins and a vast array of magic items.

Luna and Alfred excitedly told Anton the moment he arrived home that their Cosplay event was successful. Anton just sighed when he saw Alfred wearing a Bounty Hunter costume from the Star Wars Universe, and Luna was wearing a Princess Leia costume. Thankfully, the costume Luna chose was the modest white one, not the gold bikini ones that brought a huge number of nerds to their knees.

"Everyone's obsessed with Star Wars! Don't you have any more movies that came from that universe?" Luna asked.

Anton just sighed and gave Luna copies of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and The Mandalorian Season 1. He gave a brief synopsis of the two movies and the television show, and it brought such huge excitement to the siblings that for a moment, he got worried that blood would spurt out from their noses and had to calm the two down.

He advised the siblings not to show the new movies and television shows all at once, and Luna just said that they know what to do. Anton just shrugged and then let them be.

Raymond then met with Anton in his office to talk about what happened when he was gone. Everything was normal, which relieved Anton because what he wanted for the Rose Manor was stability, especially when he was going to leave them in about a couple of weeks. That was when the recruitment for the Ormunda's Special Forces would start.

For the next several hours, Anton checked the manor to make sure everyone was doing fine, and he also did not forget to water the garden and the orchard with Mana Rain. Because of the vegetables and fruits from the orchards, the people from the manor started eating mana-infused food, which made everyone healthy.

Anton decided that once his father arrived the next day, he would announce to everyone his intent to join Ormunda's special forces against the Undead Coalition. He thought that would give the time for Bruce and Romina to adjust their expectations regarding the garden and the orchard's yield, since, according to the elf Rodri, after a couple of months without mana water, the fields would revert to normal. Of course, he would strive to be home once every two months to prevent that, but since it's the army, there's a chance that he wouldn't have the time to go back.

It would have been better if there were some kind of teleportation or portal spell, but alas, it was one magic that, for some reason, this world did not have.

The next day, Anders arrived as per schedule. Anton could see that his father was happy with his progress in the medium-level dungeon. Everyone else was excited as well, for that matter, and he knew that their leveling progress was probably surprisingly fast.

After a few hours of rest, Anton met with his father. They talked about Anton's decision to announce to everyone his decision to join the army, and Anders agreed with him, so after lunch, as per Anders's command, everyone in the manor went to the huge ballroom to receive Anton's announcement.

He made the announcement simple, which was that he would join Ormunda's recruitment to form a special army against the Undead Coalition attacks. Most of the people from the manor understood his decision because the family's history wasn't a secret.

Anton then pacified everyone by saying that Anders would be staying in Ormunda and would keep delving into the dungeon. That meant that the manor was still in secure hands.

After the announcement, the family met in Anders's office. The meeting consisted of Bruce, Susan, Romina, Luna, Anders, the siblings' old attendant, Mr. Normandy, and the manor's head servants.

"What about the garden and the orchard?" Bruce asked.

"According to Rodri, it would take two months without Mana Rain for the gardens and the orchards to revert to normal fields. I plan to return home at least once bi-monthly to reassure father that I'm safe and to cast Mana Rain towards the garden and the orchard. You will have to set an expectation that there might come a time when I might not be home for a long time."

Luna and Alfred looked worried.

"Why do you have to join the army? Can you just stay here in Ormunda?" Alfred asked.

"I've been struggling to gain power for a long time, and our family has been on the run from the undead. I'm tired of running, and I'm tired of being afraid of those monsters. It's time for me to fight. You don't need to worry about me. I'm very powerful! At the very least, I have enough power to escape if there comes a time that I'm cornered," Anton boasted to pacify Alfred, who was becoming tearful.

Even Luna had started crying, and Anton thought of the fact that he had not shared his decision with his sister, letting his father handle that part.

After that, Anton asked Raymond how many gold coins the manor should have to make sure that it would be stable for the next 10 or even 20 years. The butler said that the amount of coins they already had now was enough if the manor did not have any extravagant spending.

Anders started scolding Anton when his father heard that question.

"Why are you worried about coins! I'm already earning gold coins from the dungeon! We know that it couldn't be compared to how much you earn from the high-level dungeon, but the rate my group earned is already considered very well-off!"

"I'm sorry, Father. I just don't want anyone from the manor to worry about something so mundane as gold coins."

After that sentence, Anton received severe scolding from his father, and after a few minutes, most of the people there started laughing because Anders started to become incoherent. The meeting ended after that.

Anton planned to spend the next two weeks before the recruitment to run dungeon runs to make sure that the treasure room would be filled with enough treasure to ensure that the manor would not be in need, so the next day, he went to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon early and started running his gold runs again. He wanted to reach the maximum level of his ladder Druid character and the new one that he would be creating after the Druid. The two new legendary items he could transfer from the game to the real world would help a lot in his upcoming battle with the Undead Coalition, not to mention the stats from two characters.
