I would like to use this Author's Note to say thank you.

Thank you to the very few readers that keep me going, despite my failings and rough patches. Despite the rocky chapters and looong story arcs. I'm thankful to have you as a reader. 238 chapters isn't really easy to push through, yet you've done so nonetheless.

And now you want more. Either that, or you've gone this far to tell me that my work sucks.

Appreciate it regardless. Now, I am going to rip the bandaid off early. I will be taking an extended hiatus.

This does not mean that the Valenfrost Saga is dropped, of course. I have a lot more planned. Dragon's Graveyard, the King of Stars, and Einar's story are threads that I'm excited to get to. I cannot wait to write them out and present them in the best way I can.

However, I've been working on James' story for five years straight. I want to step away from Valenfrost for a moment, if only to try my hand at another type of story that's been itching at my brain for a year now. Perhaps even, this book could turn out to be one that might get published, rather than one that's really more of a hobby.

Now, let me re-clarify, this does not mean I'm abandoning Valenfrost. I love the world, the characters, and the experience it granted me throughout the years. I plan to finish it, and I don't think I'm ever gonna stop unless I'm dead or something.

I just need to fix my sleep schedule and get some things in my life in order.

Now, if you're a fan of my writing style in general, then you'll be—hopefully—happy to know that the separate project I'm working on during this hiatus is yet another fantasy story with its own magic system and developed world. It will also be my very first LitRPG, and I'm excited to tackle it soon.

Hopefully you guys will stick around long enough to see its release, alongside the small novella I'm writing that takes place within Valenfrost's lore.

Now I thank you all again for reading this far. You are all honestly one of the only reasons I got this far in the first place. I will be signing off now, and will see you guys when I see you guys.
