Avahni and Sariel had returned to their riverbank campsite just a few minutes ago. With the addition of the Custodian Of The Fire Swarm and the Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove the green-haired lutin had grown to become quite the dangerous opponent especially when fighting groups of enemies.

After Jon had given Avahni the Fragment Of Beetle and Fragment Of Mouth required to summon both Titus Claudius and Xochitl, she now had four different summons to rely on, allowing her to fulfill an assortment of different roles within the group.

Ru Luan Di did not possess any direct offensive capabilities, but without a shadow of a doubt he was the most knowledgeable and experienced summon that Avahni had manifested. The level of control the Liver Of The Ginseng King possessed over fire natured spiritual energy was incredible, even from Schwarz Eis' standards.

His capacity to divide spiritual energy in order to cleanse, heal and regenerate the wounds of others placed him as one of the most focal summons in Avahni's repertoire. Being able to not just heal his summoner, but also other summons was an enormous boon.

Metzli was a pure defensive summon, granting Avahni and those whose shadow the Shade-Seeking Shield Moss dwelled within with a self-regenerating shield was drew upon her wood natured spiritual energy. Although Metzli possessed an enormous spiritual energy expenditure, the verdant night moss was instructed to only activate her effect after Avahni had entered combat.

The fact that she could grant others a small buff in the form of her [Blooming Night] was just an added bonus.

Titus Claudius assumed the role of a guardian, or perhaps a bulwark within the group. With his massive size, combined with an incredible physical strength and endurance, the Custodian Of The Fire Swarm was an unmoveable object during battle, enduring the repeated attacks of razor-sharp leaf storms or the tremendous force of hurled stones and boulders.

Although the chevalier fire swarm beetle lacked an obvious offensive ability, its [Fire Chevalier] Aura could inflict instances of [Mark Of The Fire Swarm] on enemies within range, reducing their resistances towards fire natured spiritual energy.

Not to mention, Xochitl, who had been waiting for Avahni to complete his summoning ritual for quite some time. The Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove differed from any of Avahni's previous summons, due to the fact that he required a catalyst in order to "bloom" rather be summoned.

This was because unlike the other summons, Xochitl was not "dead" in a sense.

Avahni's Fragment Of Mouth allowed her to open up a minute crack between her current dimension and the Realm Of Silent Green. After extending her spiritual energy into the crack, Xochitl responded and willingly became her summoned companion. This was not a common occurrence, even throughout the integrated universes and had something to do with a certain Trait that the green ocean mangrove possessed.

The Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove had now gained all the benefits of a summon, such as a conditional pseudo-immortality and the capability to add additional fragments into themselves. Although, Avahni did not realize just how unique Xochitl was until she had summoned him from the Memento Source Fragment that was his "flesh".

Effect (Mortal): Perform a ritual to summon Xochitl; Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove. Xochitl is a green ocean mangrove born from the mutative chaos within the Realm Of Silent Green. Xochitl dwells within the spleen after being summoned.

Xochitl is capable of burrowing its thorned roots into wood and stone, devouring the lifeforce of the natural flora and fauna around itself. Xochitl grows in proportion to the amount of lifeforce and wood natured spiritual energy it devours. After reaching a certain threshold, Xochitl will produce [Voracious Seedlings] scattering them around itself. Xochitl possesses the Memento Source Fragment [Yumka; Cradle Of Life].

[Voracious Seedlings]: Pseudo-spiritual copies of Xochitl; Voracious Wood-Swallowing. Each [Voracious Seedling] can devour the lifeforce of flora and fauna around itself, feeding it back to the original body.

[Yumka; Cradle Of Life]: Manifested through the combination of a Wood Mana Core, Fragment Of Life, Memento Source Fragment, complete Mortal Title [Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove] and a Mortal Ranked spiritual cradle.

Dramatically increases the quality and quantity of natural life force. Abilities that require spiritual energy can be supplemented with life force. Abilities that require lifeforce can be supplemented with spiritual energy.

Transforms the Self into [Yumka; Cradle Of Life]. Regardless of how much damage is inflicted upon oneself, so long as Yumka remains intact Xochitl can reproduce itself given enough lifeforce and spiritual energy.

Stores excess mana regeneration up to a maximum threshold.

Every time Avahni went to read Xochitl's effect description, she could not help but scratch the top of her head, not quite understanding what a "Memento Source Fragment" was. Although it possessed powerful supportive abilities, Ru Luan Di had told her that the effects of [Yumka] did not extend towards her and were limited to just affecting Xochitl.

The little ginseng king said that Xochitl was a unique existence, even amongst those who had obtained Memento Source Fragments. The Memento Source Fragment in question had been infused into the physical form of the Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove which was part of the reason why Avahni had required a Fragment Of Mouth as a catalyst in order to "bloom" Xochitl, rather than summon it.

"The Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove will fight in the front alongside Titus Claudius. Although Xochitl does not possess inherently defensive capabilities, devouring lifeforce can be considered a method of conditional regeneration," said the little ginseng king, watching Avahni from atop the Custodian Of The Fire Swarm.

The green-haired lutin nodded her head, feeling the presence of the green ocean mangrove within her chest. Xochitl was not capable of communicating through words or gestures, but as his contractor, Avahni was able to feel the emotions that the Voracious-Wood Swallowing Mangrove was feeling while it dwelled within her ribcage.

The feelings were somewhat primal in nature. Things such as hunger, fear and pleasure, were things that Xochitl had shared with Avahni, but for the most part Xochitl just remained content, willing to serve at the behest of his summoner.

"Although Xochitl does not possess a humanoid form in the same manner that Schwarz Eis does, do not underestimate the effectiveness of [Yumka; Cradle Of Life] when used in tandem with the remainder of its abilities. Most green ocean mangroves are exterminated outside of the Realm Of Silent Green, given how invasive their species is," Ru Luan Di admitted, scratching its round belly.

Although, just from a quick glance at the effect description, Xochitl would assume the role of another frontline combatant. The Voracious Wood-Swallowing Mangrove was somewhat self-sustaining and with the addition of [Yumka], it was not as spiritual energy heavy as Metzi.

Avahni took a deep breath, glancing at Wilheim chatting with Sariel and Shamael, the floresiensis trying to learn more words and phrases in Vaayli, in hope of better communicating with the two satanas. Wilheim had told her he thought it strange that both Sariel and Shamael possessed the same age and last name, but the lutin kept that information to herself, not wanting to pry further.

She knew that both Jon and Wilheim would not hesitate to inspect or examine their status pages if they felt something was off about either of them. After spending more than twenty-four hours within the company of Sariel and Shamael, Avahni did not think that the satanas pair were hiding anything.

It was weird that after three months within the System Introduction Shamael had only managed to reach the Second Initiation, but that was not something to be concerned with. Avahni did wonder if Jon would share some of his Mana Cores and fragments with Sariel and Shamael, although let out a small huff, knowing that Jon would be leaving tomorrow.

Six days ago Jon had declared his intention to leave the camp behind in hopes of better exploring the rest of this expansive inversed world. Jon had told Wilheim and herself that he desired to become stronger.

More knowledge. More Mana Cores. More Mortal Title Fragments. In order to do this Jon would need to push the boundaries of his physicality and spirituality, so that he could obtain Knighthood before the end of the System Introduction.

His desire to form a "guild", an organization that Ru Luan Di had informed her would be built using a Fragment Of Contract or a Fragment Of Binding. Although Jon did want to build an organization built on trust and mutual benefits, the little ginseng king would not let Avahni join such an organization unless her safety was guaranteed through one such fragment.

Ru Luan Di did want her to integrate a Fragment Of Rend just in case, but the lutin was firmly against such a thing. She could understand that having one member of their group with a Fragment Of Contract would be a good thing, but having another member with the exact counter to such an ability would only cause friction between both parties.

"Are you sure that you do not want to change your decision Avahni?" asked Titus Claudius, his enormous form stirring as he opened three of his eyes and stared at the green-haired woman sitting beside him.

Avahni nodded her head in confirmation.

"I have made my decision and that is final" said Avahni, crossing her arms and letting out a small huff towards Ru Luan Di and Titus Claudius.

The Liver Of The Ginseng King and the Custodian Of The Fire Swarm both shared a look before the former let out a sigh, shaking his head. The little ginseng king knew that Avahni could be quite stubborn at times, her mischievous and playful nature often times working against the intentions that he had in mind.

Ru Luan Di just shrugged his shoulders, sending a glance towards the forest for a moment, before shaking his head. He had returned the favour that the human known as Jon had shown Avahni gifting him both a Fragment Of Summon and a War Mana Core.

War Mana Cores were quite rare throughout the integrated universes, often forming after enormous conflicts between two or more organizations. War natured spiritual energy was not common outside of certain Wonders, meaning that other than the families that controlled said Wonders, ordinary people had little to no chance of ever coming into contact with such a Mana Core.

Perhaps after a war with several tens of millions of casualties would a War Mana Core form outside of a Wonder. For a short duration, the environment would become suffused with blood natured spiritual energy and death natured spiritual energy. War natured spiritual energy might become more common for a few hundred years but vanish without the presence of more bloodshed and death.

Ru Luan Di had recommended Avahni against giving the War Mana Core away to Jon, although knew that regardless of what Mana Core she integrated, the lutin would manifest abilities with the Summon Trait.

The integration of the Wind Mana Core that Jon had given her, was no exception to this fact.

Glancing towards her status page, Avahni nodded, seeing the formation of a "build" that Ru Luan Di and Titus Claudius liked to talk so much about.

Avahni had integrated three fragments into her Wind Mana Core, one fragment into her Water Mana Core, and one more Fragment into her Fire Mana Core.

Against her better judgement, and at the urging of all four of her summoned companions, Avahni integrated a Fragment Of Heart, Fragment Of Marrow and Fragment Of Transcendence, knowing that all three of them were considered "universal fragments".

The effects of [Ours Is The Blood That Breathes Through The Skies] and [Sadness Of A Broken Wind] were more than enough on their own, but the ability manifested from her Fragment Of Transcendence was something so powerful, she almost regretted not integrating it earlier.

The green-haired lutin took a deep breath, before noticing Ru Luan Di lift up their head, turning towards the tree line behind her. Titus Claudius similarly stirred beneath the Liver Of The Ginseng King, both of the summons feeling the violent emanations of spiritual energy approaching them.

Metzli within her shadow activated their self-regenerating wood natured spiritual energy shield.

While Xochitl emanating feelings of protectiveness and worry from within her chest.

Although it was a familiar flavour, there was something… different about it.

The little ginseng king focused its weakened perceptions on the source of knowledge natured spiritual energy running towards them, shaking his head and tapping the Custodian Of The Fire Swarm in dismissal.

"It is just the human. His knowledge natured spiritual energy is weak, obviously from overuse. Most of his Mana Cores have been drained of all their spiritual energy, so he obviously fought an opponent that he-." Ru Luan Di stopped speaking the moment he felt the additional sources of spiritual energy on his person.

His eyes widening as the little ginseng king felt the approaching presence of more than a dozen different kinds of spiritual energy.
