Infernal Apocalypse [ LitRPG , Non-Human Lead, Lots and lots of Fire ]

181. Plan for a bit...(Book Three)

POV Raizen

I fully expected Lidaz to snap off a salute and move to carry out orders, but he looked like he was hesitating to say something.

"Lidaz, you are in my Clan, and one of the leaders in it at the moment. Just talk, man."

"Understood, Patriarch. Well, it is about our uses and abilities. All Infernals are warriors, Patriarch. There isn't a single one of us who would claim differently, but not all of us are full-time warriors, Patriarch.

"Especially ones who were without a Clan. At least on Planet Infernal, only Clans are allowed to possess standing armies. If an Infernal such as myself wanted to be a part of an army, I would have had to join a Clan or leave Planet Infernal and join or start another force somewhere else.

"Which means we have a lot of us here who had separate jobs back home. Including various builder professions, Patriarch."

I looked at him blankly for more than a few moments.

Honestly, I felt like an idiot. I have no idea why I didn't consider that they would have other skills than knowing how to fight.

I somewhat feel kind of bad for only classifying them as members of my army in my head, but now that I think about it, didn't I have to set up a government here in my City? Richard, for example, didn't cultivate all that much anymore.

He still did, just at a much slower pace and without the same drive.

The Clan would likely need similar structure. People to handle finances, logistics, and, well… a lot of things.

It's good Lidaz brought it up. I wonder what the bo— the boys… why am I only just now realizing they aren't here?

I was so caught up in my thoughts and emotions earlier that I didn't realize they weren't here. The Ash Guard members weren't here either.

Being that distracted and a bit riled was not only a bad thing but also unlike me. I don't regret my actions, but emotional decisions are not me. Not like that at least.

"Thanks for informing me, Lidaz. Then do you think you have people familiar with building to go and build your own little district without help from the City?"

"Yes, Patriarch. We would be able to do it on our own."

"Good. Then have a majority of the force go do it. Don't destroy the land and the local ecosystems too much. Spread far to get the materials needed. If you need tools, then talk to Richard.

"And one more thing. Where are the boys?"

"They were teleported away this morning by the Elder Patriarch. Their respective squads went with them, and even those human guards went as well."

Well, shit.

Elder Zal was a busy woman this morning if she was teleporting that many people all over the place.

I'm curious as to where she took them all, but I'm even more curious as to why the members of the Ash Guard went as well.

Did she ask them? Did they ask her? Were they kidnapped?

So many different possibilities.

Guess I'll find out eventually.

And… I think I need to slow down for a bit and think through my next steps. Constantly being on go would definitely cause me to miss things, and I'm sure there were already things I was missing.

"Alright, Lidaz. I need a small force to remain here. We will be traveling around quite a bit soon—be ready. Next, I would like a list of professions among the group to be logged. The Infernal district will be run by Infernals.

"Lastly, I need a couple individuals to follow me around for a bit."

By the time I left the camp that was now in a controlled rush to carry out my orders, there were 15 Infernals following me—1 in the Nascent Soul realm, and 14 in the Core Formation Realm.

A little overkill in my opinion, but it was fine.

My first stop was my office.

I needed to think.

Upon making it to the City Lord Mansion, the Core Formation Infernals spread out around the mansion, while the lone Nascent Soul Cultivator followed me all the way to my house and calmly waited outside the door.

His name was Vrusha.

Anyway, I sat behind my desk and closed my eyes.

Alright, Raizen. What do I need to do?

There are 13 official Systems built by Tutorial Factions on Earth at the moment. I needed to rule all of them to become the Planetary Lord properly.

2 of the 13 were in my control, and another 2 had already sent word they wouldn't be fighting back.

That left 9 other Cities to be conquered.

What does that mean?

Traveling to all 9 Cities and convincing them—either peacefully or forcefully—to submit.

But would things stop there? Unlikely.

I've watched enough TV and sat through enough history classes to understand that the thought of rebellion would never go away. And I didn't know if losing control of the System Cities after conquering them would cause me to lose the Planetary Lord role.

So to prevent that, these Cities would need to be policed in some way.

Guess it's a good thing I now had a force big enough to do just that.

But then distance would be an issue.

We wouldn't be getting any more MT Stations. And the Vamp ships were gone. Nor did I want to ask Elder Zal to ferry us all over the Planet—plus, that wouldn't be sustainable long term.

And I kind of wanted to travel on my own power and see this Earth of ours in full anyway.

We'll deal with long-distance travel capabilities in the future.

So, conquer Cities, use Clan members to police said Cities, and spend a lot of time traveling.

Sounds simple enough.

What else?

Me.

I needed a new spear. I needed to grow stronger. I needed to increase my knowledge.

Status

Name – Raizen

Age – 20

Race – Infernal

Cultivation – Core Formation (Ignition)

Profession – Planetary Lord (Probationary)

Quest – Conquer All System Cities (2/13)

It's been quite a while since I looked at it, since it rarely ever changed, but the main reason I did was for the Quest.

There was no time limit attached to it.

Perhaps it wasn't a good idea to let too many months or years pass, but the fact is I could wait.

Commissioning a spear to be made should be simple enough. I could ask… huh.

I still hadn't met with Jrino regarding the Olirag people. Alright, I'll do that after my planning session is over.

And now that I think about it, the Meitalc person left as well, didn't he?

Shame.

Dwarves it is.

In that case, I might as well kill two birds with one stone: visit their City to commission a spear and accept the submission from their City Lord, then return to move on to something I've put off for too long.

The Library.

Growing my own strength would always be a priority, but not knowing things can be costly. I'm sure there were even tactics on battle to be read in the Library. Those sand guys put a disgusting amount of books in there. Maybe I'll even find lullabies—who knows.

Either way, I'll spend some time there.

Meet with Jrino. Commission a spear and accept submission, and while I'm at it, I might as well stop at City Lord Johnson's City and accept his too.

Then come back and spend a good bit of time in the Library.

Once I've soaked up enough knowledge and my spear is complete, it will be time to go explore Earth and pay a visit to all of these Cities.

Alright.

"Vrusha."

The door opened and he walked in and bowed.

"Yes, Patriarch."
