Infernal Apocalypse [ LitRPG , Non-Human Lead, Lots and lots of Fire ]

199. Just the Way I Want (Book Three)

You know, perhaps there was a chance that this man could probably put up a much better fight than what was happening now if he was ready for a fight from the get go.

Instead, he was reduced to nothing but a punching bag for venting a bit of stress. He was unconscious at the moment, his body twitching every now and then from whatever injuries he was inflicted with.

I don't really want to kill him, because I understand his position and the power he held.

There is a good chance If I didn't exist that he would be the strongest human on the planet. Plus, I liked the fact unlike the Gaia Empire City Lord, he didn't greet me with an army...that didn't mean he was smart though, because if he truly had the senses of someone in the Core Formation Realm, then he should've known that there were hundreds of Core Formation individuals behind me.

Hm.

What if he couldn't.

Maybe his senses were pretty shit for some reason, and he couldn't see Mount Tai...

...I've always wanted to say that.

Anyway, whatever reason there was for him to take such a hard stance, it matters very little right now. He chose rebellion, and this is the consequence.

I held him by his ankle and began walking towards their little fortress, dragging him behind me ominously.

Vrusha and the others were already inside, and I walked into them standing around a group of roughly 20 people pressed into the ground face first.

They were all trying desperately to rise up from their places but none of them were strong enough to

push against the pressure of someone like Vrusha who was in the Nascent Soul Realm.

I waved a hand towards him and the pressure holding down the group receded and a few of them practically flew off the floor due to the thing they were pushing against disappearing randomly.

Before they could completely gather and recalibrate themselves, | began talking. Making sure I was loud enough to reach all of them here, and even the people watching from a distance.

"My name is Raizen. All of you should know who I am and what I'm here for."

I then tossed the body of the man I fought earlier forward towards the 20 people who were being held down before.

"I'm assuming this is your City Lord. He chose the option of rebelling, and this is the price of that. I don't want to kill him or anyone else in this City, but this is also the only warning you all will receive.

The next attack will be met without mercy.

"So, what will it be?"

Turns out that bald man with his still immaculate beard was indeed their City Lord, and also the strongest person in the City.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Once they saw the state of his body, that was enough to pacify them enough to begrudgingly escort me into the City Lord mansion. I was currently waiting in a room with just Vrusha, while everyone else was exploring the City and the place around.

I told them not to bother the locals as much as possible. I did enough of that when I got here, so there was no need to keep antagonizing them without reason.

Moving on, that City Lord of theirs should wake up soon, and I'm curious to see the type of attitude he will have once he does. If he still refuses to have a chat and tries to fight again, then that will be last time he fights.

I want to avoid that though, because I don't really want to have to worry about picking another one.

Eventually a couple hours passed, and the man was now seated before me. Anger and frustration present in his eyes, but he made no moves to attack me.

Good enough for me.

I took a glance at the woman who walked in with him and was now standing behind him.

Perhaps she was some form of secretary? She was also the one who led me here, but she didn't introduce herself.

Shifting my gaze back to the bald man and his immaculate beard, I introduced myself once more.

"My name is Raizen. Who are you?"

It was almost like he wanted to do nothing more than leap across the table we were seated at and drive his fist through my face the way he was looking at me. And for a second I thought he was planning to ignore me once more but the woman behind him coughed dryly as if to signal him to speak.

He closed his eyes, crossed his arms and let out a sigh.

"My name is Lenny Black. The City Lord of The North Pole. Let's get this over with. I submit."

l accepted the prompt and almost immediately a flood of other notifications quickly filled my vision.

And based on the fact that both Lenny here and the woman behind him simultaneously looked down slightly, then both of them must've received a notification as well.

Alright I'll get to them later, for now I needed the man here and the rest of the City to both understand a few things.

"Alright, let's make sure we're on the same page here. You will remain in charge of your fortress, but you will eventually be making regular reports to a man by the name of Richard. You will meet him later.

"Apart from a few rules that I will impose on every City on Earth, I expect you to continue as you have always done, if you need help, it will be provided, if your help is required then I expect you to provide that as well.

"Also, keep in mind that from this point on, any future rebellion, subterfuge or treacherous actions will result in nothing but destruction.

"Am I understood?"

Both of them gave their respecting acknowledgements.

"Good. Then standby for now, things will begin happening in full swing later."

I didn't really have anything else to discuss with that Lenny fellow for now, so I dismissed him. From now on it will be mainly Richard dealing with all these City Lords and their people. I need to make sure the Ash Guard are up to the task of protecting him properly.

Especially since one of the City Lords was in the Core Formation Realm.

Anyway...let's take a look at these notifications.

First one up..

Ding!

Congratulations on officially becoming the Planetary Lord of Planet Earth

All System Cities submit to your Rule

All City Lords submit to your Rule All Citizens submit to your Rule

Well, I can easily see how seeing a message like this and having access to this type of authority can quickly go to someone's head. Like the City Lord of that Gaia Empire City that we had to remove. I'm sure he would've really kicked it into high gear with all the Duke and Count stuff.

Next on the list...

Ding!

Planetary Lord Interface is now Accessible!

Access this Interface to better manage your Planet!

The next set of notifications were all related to this new Interface I had access to now. Basically there were all Interface manual entries explaining to me all the different features the Interface possessed.

Perhaps if I was still pre-cultivation Raizen, then my brain likely would've melted from trying to digest all the information popping up across my face, but that wasn't an issue for my current processing speed.

Now based on what I was seeing here...this Interface truly is a powerful tool.

And it was exactly what I needed to shape this Planet the way I wanted to.
