Revive Rome: Wait! Why not make the empress fall in love with me first?

Chapter 704: 80 chapters: Many hands make light work

It was another teleportation.

Unlike the numerous ant-nest-like spaces of the Sea of Silence, the terrain of the Mushroom Forest was more akin to a massive hill, the flanks of which were covered in dense mushroom woods.

And at the top, upwards, was a slender, conical void where the buildings of Watch Town were constructed along the inner walls of the hole.

The group journeyed towards the summit via teleportation. Mia was in charge of using the Ripple Sword, Aske was on guard, Kapei could offer no help but to tag along, and Miel observed the future lines throughout the journey to handle any unnecessary surprises.

"Aske!" she suddenly cried out, excited, for she had observed an unexpected yet favorable outcome.

"What's up?" Aske had just spoken when he saw Miel pulling out a Mia from a few minutes in the future.

Future Mia murmured a few words to the present Mia, briefly discussed the coordinates, and then dissipated into the air.

Little Mia sighed with relief and led the group to teleport again.

This time, following the coordinates given by future Mia, the four of them teleported directly in front of a team of demigods.

The demigod elders and the girls of The Azure Longsword, initially following demigod Glache in pursuit, were about to continue their chase along the trail when they suddenly saw Aske and others appear in front of them.

"Aske!" someone among the girls called out first, and then everyone couldn't wait to break from the ranks surrounding Aske, Mia, Miel, and the others, bombarding them with eager questions.

"This is..." Relieved that Aske was perfectly unharmed, Nora then noticed the synthetic human-looking Kapei beside them.

"I am a scientist from the Prehistoric Era." Seeing that these girls seemed to know Aske and the others, Kapei temporarily set his worries aside and responded, "The same Prehistoric Era as you refer to."

"The Prehistoric Era?" The demigods turned their attention to him upon hearing this.

It was well known that humanity had once possessed a bright and splendid civilization over a thousand years ago.

However, most historical information about that era was destroyed during the first Magic Tide. Today, people could only place their hopes and dreams on that once-existent era, known as the "Golden Age" or "Prehistoric Era."

"Speaking of which," Kapei asked cautiously, "are we safe now? Half-elf miss, could you please collect my data..."

"Wait!" Miel suddenly frowned, "They're coming again!"

"Who is coming?" the girls asked.

Before their words fell, the answer was revealed. Black mist and long, slender ghost shadows tore through the spatial cracks, reappearing in front of the group.

A sudden earthquake wave lifted a giant earth dragon, roaring as it charged towards the team.

Apilius was the first to react, raising his arm and pointing towards the opposite side.

Instantly, the earth dragon seemed to lose control, violently trembling in place before collapsing, with countless dirt and stone particles shooting out like bullets in all directions.

The second to act was Sherry, who simply opened her right hand, causing the incoming stones to quickly decelerate, stop, then turn and accelerate back towards the two alien race demigods like a dense, stormy barrage.

Mularafak quickly set up an "Unknown Barrier," beginning to block the space in front and intercept all incoming "bullets"; Gamoduo, meanwhile, ignored these physical attacks, slowly expanding the surrounding black mist, preparing to launch an invisible Fear Shock.

"Ah, is it a Mind System demigod?" exclaimed the Enchanting Demon Queen in surprise, twirling her slender fingers gracefully. The Fear Shock Gamoduo was concocting was immediately interrupted, followed by the black mist explosively dispersing.

Mind Bomb! The opposition was an Enchanting Demon demigod!

A wave of terror immediately spread throughout Gamoduo's Mind Body. As Shadow Demons, their immunity to physical attacks came at the cost of extra vulnerability to mental attacks, a domain in which the exceptionally talented Enchanting Demons were almost their natural predators.

Not to mention, from the bomb's potency, it seemed the opposing Enchanting Demon demigod had already reached Lv.30, preliminarily ignited the Divine Fire, their level not much less than his.

Thus, without any hesitation, Gamoduo launched his life-saving Law big move. His surrounding black mist began to spin rapidly, then as if pressured by an external force, quickly coalesced and shrank, gathering into a small point within two seconds.

Then it burst open in the air.

Abyss Suction, this Shadow Demon Lord's life-saving move, was to use the sensing connection between himself and the Abyss Origin to quickly teleport and escape back to the Big Cave.

The Enchanting Demon Queen watched the other side flee in panic with a smile and did not interfere or pursue.

When Gamoduo fled, Mularafak couldn't stand it any longer.

He just discovered that the six humans opposite him were almost all of Demigod Rank, and although most hadn't reached Lv.30, the sheer number of opponents was overwhelming!

If Gamoduo had been there, they might have stood a chance to fight, but now that the Shadow Demon Lord had run away first, how could he possibly hold off six by himself!

Strapped by Derek with a "Puppet Control" and bombarded from all directions with Sherry's speed stone, Mularafak could only again pull out the Skill Locking Space to completely lock down the surrounding space, attempting to isolate himself from both Extraordinary Power and physical attacks.

Agrippina and Red-haired Otto rushed to his sides, left and right. Otto placed his hand on the locked space, immediately sealing Mularafak's skills.

With the locked space returned to normal, Agrippina seized the opportunity to approach the opponent at high speed unique to the Blood Clan, her body suddenly bursting into corrupt blood.

The dark green poisonous blood splashed over the opponent's body, corroding his robes and the flesh underneath, revealing that the mysterious person, Mularafak, was actually a petrified lizard from the Abyss.

Mularafak, penetrated by the poisonous blood, roared loudly but then his body deflated, turning into a thin skin.

"Dead?" Agrippina asked curiously, picking up the blood-stained skin.

"No, it seems to be some kind of Law Skill akin to shedding," said Otto, glancing over, "His real body has already escaped."

"Good for him to have escaped quickly." Agrippina chuckled coldly.

Behind the group, Mia and Miel were stunned.

The two Demigod bosses who had been pursuing them for so long were dispatched this easily by the senior Demigods?

Eh? It seemed quite reasonable.

"This... what are these people? They can kill Alien Race Demigods?" Kapei, who had witnessed the entire battle, seemed to fall into a state of logical confusion and stupor.

...Human Demigods?

So, had humans developed to this extent now? Had Transcendents found a way to become Demigods?

Instead, was the technological civilization declining? Hahaha, how ironic.

————————

Glache.

After using his life-saving skill to escape the pursuit of two Alien Race Demigods, this Human Demigod teleported to the edge of the Mushroom Forest.

Damn it!

He had of course figured it out by now, he had been tricked by that cunning young man.

Using his own displayed "kind-heartedness," he let two Alien Race Demigods mistakenly believe he was an accomplice of the young man, thus cleverly manipulated to commit murder by proxy.

The mysterious ability of the other party to cut through the Domain, and his subsequent contentious and clean teleportation away, proved that he had seen through Glache's original intentions, just pretending not to have seen through them.

As a powerful Demigod, to be used by a Transcendent who wasn't even a Demigod, when had he ever encountered such humiliating treatment?

Glache, an experienced Demigod who mingled in the Abyss and understood strength in numbers, decided to call for help to wash away the shame.

He would bring along two other drinking buddies to see if they could get ahead of the two Alien Race Demigods, and kill the target group first to vent his spleen.
