Revive Rome: Wait! Why not make the empress fall in love with me first?

Chapter 791: Volume 6 Epilogue: The Endgame of Iberia

Aragon-Castilla Kingdom, the capital's court.

King Frederick II took out the financial reports and respectfully handed them to the Demigod Derek. The latter, bored, looked through them cursorily and then tossed them to Maya.

"Tsksksks." As Maya looked over the data, she couldn't help but be surprised by the wealth of the Aragon-Castilla Royal Family.

Of course, a significant portion of wealth had been accumulated by monopolizing the sale shares of the Lusitania mine veins. In some sense, it was as if the entire half-elf population's blood was being sucked to fatten themselves up.

However, considering that King Frederick II was completely controlled by the Eden Fruit, she no longer had any thoughts of revenge against him.

"Did you know that the Aragon-Castilla Kingdom used to be two separate countries?" After making Frederick leave, Sherry who was leaning against a court pillar, said, "To the east was Aragon, to the west was Castilla."

"Later... guess why they suddenly united into one?"

"I'm guessing a marriage alliance." Miel said.

"You got it." Sherry snapped her fingers, "At that time, the Castilla King died suddenly, leaving behind no male heirs, only his daughter and his sister. Ferdinand II, the King of Aragon, took the opportunity to marry the sister of the Castilla King, Isabella."

"His daughter Joanna, on the other hand, sought help from Lusitania."

"In the end, Isabella won the civil war and ascended the throne as the Queen of the Castilia Kingdom. Thus, after the death of the married monarchs, the two kingdoms naturally united as one, inherited by their grandson Charles."

"A marriage alliance, huh." Derek reflected, "Compared to attacks, coups, conspiracies, and assassinations, marriage alliances are probably the safest approach to power consolidation. And indeed, having no heirs is a serious flaw."

"You're right." Maya hugged Miel from behind and affectionately rubbed her cheeks, "If our little Miel wasn't such an adorable girl, I would have married her myself. I certainly wouldn't trust her with something as dangerous as the Eden Fruit."

"Let go!" Miel struggled to break free from her embrace, feeling a touch of embarrassment and annoyance, "Why haven't you married Rasul before?"

"Because Rasul has some issues with his sexual preferences." Maya said very seriously.

Everyone's underlying message was pretty clear, which was none other than advising her to settle down with Aske as soon as possible, preferably to have a litter of half-elves from which the next Messiah could be chosen.

Otherwise, like Rasul, they'd have to look outside for a suitable heir — rather than handing the Eden Fruit to an unknown stranger, the three Demigods would much rather pass it down to the offspring of Miel, whom they've watched grow up from a young age.

But unable to address this matter, Miel could only pretend to be completely oblivious, pretending that "I don't understand what you're saying, after all, I'm just an underage Miel" to skate by.

"So, has the future you've seen changed at all?" Sherry asked.

Joining the Revolutionary Army in a bid to seize control of Aragon-Castilla Kingdom was certainly no whim. After all, the alliance between the Church Court and the Divine Luo Empire held power beyond anyone's imagination. Aragon was a sovereign kingdom that was pressured by the two powers till even its own nobles turned their backs first.

If Miel did not do something now, once the Azure Longsword someday fell apart and Nora and Eleanor joined hands again, the future her truly would be without hope.

To some extent, Rasul's so-called "Princess War Theory," although it was to persuade Miel to be his heir, was not without merit.

"Looking at it now, it's still the same as what I saw before," Miel replied with a hint of sorrow, "He's most likely not coming back, there's a small chance he will, but even then, I'd have to compete intensely against others..."

"Why did you choose such a scumbag?" Sherry said with disdain.

"The Squad Leader isn't a scumbag!" Miel defended with a touch of shame and annoyance, "He is just... he's just too outstanding, which explains why so many people like him. But he's never taken advantage of that to deceive anyone's feelings!"

"He indeed hasn't deceived any of you," Sherry retorted mockingly, "he has merely used that to keep you on the hook, to get you to work for him."

"Hey, Sherry." Derek, feeling displeased, interjected, "If Aske accepted their feelings, you'd definitely mock him for being fickle; if he didn't, you'd ridicule him for being heartless. So no matter what he does, he's criticized by you?"

"Isn't that the case?" Sherry stood up straight, "If he was indeed a good man, he should instantly choose a girl he truly likes and let the rest move on!"

"What if there's no one he truly likes in the team?" Maya asked idly.

"That's impossible!" Sherry asserted decisively, "Look at his team!"

The others fell silent. Upon close inspection, the Azure Longsword Mercenary Group had mature ladies, young girls, and lolitas; there were royals, nobles, and civilians; sultry ones, domineering ones, gentle and soft ones—their hair and eye colors, skin tones, temperaments, and thought patterns were all diverse. It was almost like a beauty exposition.

Whatever preferences or kinks a man had, he could ostensibly find an object of desire within it. If he couldn't, the most likely explanation was:

This man isn't interested in women.

With that thought, the three Demigods involuntarily shuddered and then looked at Miel with strange expressions.

"No, it's not..." Miel said weakly.

"So, getting back to it, you can see the future, right?" Maya suddenly asked. "In his timeline where he came back, did you two end up having babies together?"

"Mmm." Miel felt very embarrassed upon hearing this. In those returned future lines, she indeed had two children with Aske, a boy and a girl. Having the skill "Destiny" made it ridiculously easy to control the probability of hitting the mark and determining the gender.

But still, the same sentence came to mind: "I'm just an underage Miel, could you not ask about those things? It's too fast, almost like pushing someone to run..."

"Miel!" Mia suddenly teleported next to everyone, grabbed her best friend's arm, and started shaking it. "Are you done yet? I'm bored to death out here!"

"Wait a second, I'm still dealing with something," Miel patted Mia's hand to console her.

So, Mia could only stamp her foot in boredom and teleported away again.

"How's the situation on your end?" Maya asked.

"Don't get me started; the ship is still adrift at sea," Miel responded. "A little further, and probably even Mia's Black Hole Law couldn't teleport over."

"That's gotta take months at least," Derek said.

"Simply sailing deep into the Atlantis Ocean wouldn't take that long," Miel replied. "The main issue is finding an elusive island in the storm; that's a bit troublesome."

"Mmm," the three Demigods nodded slightly.

In the deep regions of the Atlantis Ocean, within the Devil's Zone, it's said that there are 365 days of overcast skies every year, 24 hours a day, with no distinction of north or south, compasses malfunctioning, magnetic needles spinning wildly, heavy rains pouring, and frightening waves. Ordinary ships would capsize just at the edge of the storm, let alone venture deeper.

Still, for Demigods, especially those who can fly, it's not a certain death trap, though dangers are of course inevitable.

Having figured out the time, Miel bid farewell to everyone, preparing to find Mia and teleport back to the ship. The three Demigods knew that once she left for the open sea, the next meeting might be half a year or even a year away, so they couldn't help but feel a bit melancholic.

Therefore, they stuffed her with lots of things.

"A girl all by herself with a man wandering the high seas? You must take good care of yourself." Sherry gave her a box of mysterious gear, making Miel blush with embarrassment.

"Cough, if you manage to tie him down at sea, consider this a little gift from me as an elder," Drakes handed her a beautifully decorated box containing a necklace, earrings, a headpiece, and a brooch for marriage ... Miel was left speechless.

"Speaking of which, I've actually been learning spinning and weaving recently!" Maya pulled out a bundle from behind, and inside were actually children's clothes and shoes. "Go for it, Miel, and strive to bring a kid back to see us!"

Miel: ......

"Bringing a kid back is simply out of the question," Sherry said mercilessly. "Is what I gave her merely for show?"

"Can't your brain clear itself up a bit?" Maya grabbed Sherry's neck from behind and started to strangle her forcefully. "Who gives Miel that sort of stuff!"

"Alright, alright," Derek intervened lazily. "It's rare we all get together, so let's not fight."

"Do you all so wish for Miel to get knocked up?" Sherry grabbed Maya by the armpit, executing a clean judo throw and slamming the Elf Queen to the ground. "She's still young!"

"If you know I'm still young, then don't give me these things!" Miel, with her face flushed in embarrassment, finally couldn't help but shout out loud.

On the ship in the Atlantis Ocean, Mia appeared in the cabin with Miel all of a sudden.

"What did they all give you?" Seeing the big and small packages in Miel's hands, Mia was not shy to take them over and started to rummage through them.

"Wow, these are children's clothes! But isn't the size too small? You probably can't wear them."

"Oy! These jewels are so pretty! Miel, can I borrow them for a couple of days, please?"

"This paper box is..."

"That's something you cannot know about!" Miel quickly snatched it from Mia's hands.

"Hmph, don't forget I have Space Perception Ability!" Mia signified that even if you hide it, it's no use, I can teleport the contents out in a split second, leaving just the paper box in your hands.

But I'm not going to do that.

However, based on her Space Perception, inside the box seemed to be little bags containing...

...balloons?

Little Mia: ???
