Three days from now, I'll post the first chapter of Book 2 for public reading. Here's what I have to say about it.

First, I intend for him to grow much faster than in Book 1. Aside from the archmagi, the main people who are going to provide significant pushes for Fabrisse in the 2nd book are Liene, Severa, Anabeth von Silberthal, Veliane Veist, Dubbie, and, well, Cuman. I didn't plan for MC to be surrounded by so many girls; the story kind of wrote itself in this regard. It seems like his personality makes it natural for him to have more female friends than male ones for some reason.

His relationship with Liene will be explored in-depth in the second book. There are some very significant potential problems with their relationship, some of which can already be seen in Chapter 134, that will need to be addressed in the next book so it doesn't get in the way of his progression.

Regarding Severa, I don't want to force the story into a direction that narratively makes absolutely no sense. Their relationship should be characterized by hostility until they come to a mutual point of understanding. By the end of Book 2 they should both become better people. I don't plan for funny businesses between them, unless literally a hundred of you come out of the woodwork with pitchforks and demand it.

Veliane Veist is not an option. The 2nd book will actually feature her rather heavily, but not for the reasons Fabrisse would want it to be.
