[Sig – 13 years]
"Seems the storm wrecked a ship!" I say as I approach spawn. "Let's hope that Lexi's fine!"
The ship wrecked on the shore is probably how the new members arrived on the island, but I don't know for sure. Lexi and I were completely left out of the planning for their arrival lore. All I know is that it's safe to come to spawn after about twenty minutes from when the new members joined the server.
So I'm going there to check in on Lexi and make sure she's fine. She'll probably be at the village rather than Central Plaza (Xander renamed it to that last week), but my route to the village goes through Central Plaza. Me checking on the friendly builder isn't out of character for me, so it provides me a way to meet at least some of the new members pretty fast.
This is what the admins told me is fine and not metagaming. Since it's in-character for me to check on Lexi by going through the spawn area, it wouldn't be odd for me to do this. That makes it possible for me to meet the new members on the server without it coming across as fake.
When I enter Central Plaza, there are only two of the new members within view, out of the seven total new ones. One is Axel, and the other is Niko. Axel's Swedish while Niko's Kenzibri.
The only reason the Kenzibri youth are able to be here right now despite it being school hours is because Niko's school is out today and the other's over on the east coast and she gets out an hour early. Niko having no school today is why today was picked for the arrival rather than a different one.
Axel is currently examining one of the shops and I wouldn't be surprised if he's contemplating stealing something from them. Niko, on the other hand, is examining the fountain. They're both wearing backpacks already, which is a bit odd, but they might have had them as part of their lore for how they got here.
"Hello!" I greet them, and they both look at me.
"Aren't you the guy on the wanted posters?" Axel asks.
The wanted posters were put up last week as part of the lore. I don't know if it was the Manager or an Agent, but it was definitely done in preparation for new members.
"I am!" I look over. "Oh! They increased the bounty! It was only fifty silver last week! I'm up to a full gold!"
"Seb the Pirate, huh?" Axel asks. "Guess you're the one that Xander dude told us to be wary of. Said you'd steal our stuff."
"Yup!" I say. "Oh, but don't steal from the shops. The Fairy King isn't someone you want to cross. You steal food from his shops, and any food you eat will make you sick until you've repaid what you stole ten times over. Random negative effects come with each bite, too!"
"The Fairy King?" Axel asks.
"That's Xander," I say. "He's a mysterious being of great power beyond our imagining. Wait. You said he warned you about him? You met him?"
Xander participated in lore?
"He showed up and gave us our backpacks with some food and a little money," Axel tells me. "Also a tour of Central Plaza. Seemed a bit odd."
That would come off as being a negative comment about Xander, but I think he's trying to stay in character for this. There's no way Adrian King would allow someone who could be mean to Xander on the server.
As for him showing up, I'm guessing he wanted to meet them outside of the chat and also to give them some stuff so that they weren't starting off with nothing. Leave it to him to think about food and money but not tools.
He probably figured they'd use money to buy tools or something.
"He's a fairy," I tell Axel. "Don't question the oddness! You might find yourself turned to a tree!"
"Hmph," Axel says. "What do you do as a pirate, if you don't loot this area?"
"I loot other areas!" I tell him. "Ones on the ocean, of course, though I sometimes go up rivers! Do my best to only pick places I can easily escape from, should local security be a little tough. Not that I've encountered that so far. Oh, and chase off the Manager and their Agents. They're the ones putting up bounties for me. Something about 'stop stealing' and all that."
"Sounds fun," Axel tells me. "Name's Axel. Mind if I join your crew?"
"Sure!" I answer. "Was going to check in on Lexi to see how she fared the storms, then head off to do some looting! You can have a trial run to see how well you do during that! If you pass, you can join my crew!"
"Thanks," he says, and I look at Niko.
"What about you?" I ask. "Want to join the pirate life?"
"Nah," he answers. "Name's Niko, by the way."
"Pleasure to meet ya!" I say. "What's got your attention with the fountain?"
"Oh," he says. "I was just thinking of how it could be improved. I was the ship's mechanic-"
"Ship?" I ask.
"Cruise ship," he nods. "We were heading to a tropical island for a regular cruise and vacation when the storm hits. This place is… strange. Definitely not the tropical island we were heading for."
"We might come across it!" I tell him. "Join my crew and you'll have a bigger chance!"
"Nah," he says. "Anyway, I was the ship's mechanic and… I can think of a way to alter the fountain to make it function better. Still look beautiful, too."
"Good luck!" I tell him. "Oh, but do be careful – you need a permit to do any building in Central Plaza and the surrounding areas. It's up to nine chunks away from the fountain, not including the one at the center of the fountain, so a range of tenish, or a square nineteen on each side. And the permit is only good for the specified project."
This is to help prevent random stuff from being built at spawn. Requiring a permit for construction here gives something we can play with in-lore. It also gives an explanation to our viewers for why we aren't just building our own bases at spawn.
"A permit?" He asks. "How do you get that?"
"The Fairy King," I answer. "Xander owns the whole area. I don't build here so I don't know what's required to get one from him, though. You'd need to ask Lexi for that. Wait! You said you like building?"
"A bit, yeah," Niko says.
"Want to help me with something?" I ask. "I've been trying to find a way to conceal the entrance to my base. I'll make it more than worth your while if you do a good job… but if you tell anyone about where my base is, I'll send ya to the bottom o' the ocean!"
Niko contemplates this for a few moments.
"Alright," he says. "I'll check it out."
"If you want to head there now," I tell him. "Just head straight west from the shore down south, then when you get to a small cluster of islands, go straight north. You'll eventually see a landmass in the distance, to the northwest. The moment it's in view, go west and seven chunks south. Keep going, and you'll reach another landmass. Follow its southern shore and you'll eventually come to an area which looks different. My cove is there. Otherwise, stick around and join us for Axel's pirating test."
"Got it," Niko says.
I head to the village and find Lexi repairing a building which caught fire.
"Survived the storm alright?" I ask.
"Yup!" She answers. "You?"
"Stayed in my base," I tell her. "It's storm-proofed! Have you met any of the new folk?"
"A couple of them were over here a few minutes ago," she tells me. "They wanted to do some exploring, but I'm sure I'll see them again soon. You?"
"Met Axel and Niko over by spawn," I say. "Niko was saying he could improve the fountain a bit, so I let him know he'd need to request a permit if he wanted to mess with it," I snort. "Had to warn Axel not to steal from the Fairy King's shops, he was definitely thinking about it."
"Don't recruit more to the pirate side!" She waves a block at me. "They need to get settled in, not steal!"
"Since you're doing good," I feel myself grinning. "I'll just go and take my newest recruit to see if he's worthy of joining my crew!"
"SEB!" Lexi laughs as I take off.
Niko's gone when I return to spawn, so I grab Axel and head to my ship.
"Why do I hear chickens?" Axel asks as I take us away from the shore.
"There are about forty of 'em below decks."
"Why do you have forty chickens?"
"Emergency rations!" I answer. "Make sure to breed up before killing any and only kill as many as you bring into existence! That's the first rule of food on my ship!"
"I hear a horse."
"That's Cloud, he makes sure the chickens behave."
It takes a moment before Axel starts laughing, but that's probably because he had to read the transcription of what I said first.
"Out of character," I say. "Xander participated in lore? He's been averse to anything relating to lore. Lexi and I came up with the 'Fairy King' bit just to explain his activities."
"I don't think it was lore," Axel tells me. "I think he just wanted to give us some starter packs with a little food and money in them. No gear nor anything."
Just as I suspected.
"Sounds like Xander," I chuckle. "So he just showed up, gave you all bags, and gave you a tour of spawn?"
"Basically, yeah," Axel answers. "Didn't seem comfortable with us doing roleplay so we toned it down a little during that. Got a question."
"Shoot."
"So I don't know Zrebzialan," he says. "But it felt like Xander was talking a bit… oddly. And the transcriptions weren't helping. Is it just me and the transcriptions, or…?"
"He does that sometimes," I say. "I don't really notice it much but others seem to. So how long have you been a streamer?"
We haven't really spoken much before now, even if we're on the SMP's chat server. There were brief introductions, but we all wanted to get to know each other on the SMP itself, so our chats can see us meeting and learning about each other.
"I'm not really one," he says. "Niels is the only one of us who does much streaming, and that's mostly just once every month or so. He does skits with his friends and sometimes does them live. There aren't really any World of Myst streamers in Sweden who meet the requirements for the SMP, so I guess Leif and I got invited along with him."
"Really?" I ask. "It seems like it'd take more than that to get invited on. There's a whole screening process and everything."
"Well," Axel says. "We managed to make it through that? We were all surprised when we received the offer to join it."
"Ah," I say. "Why'd you accept?"
"Uh…" he hesitates for a few moments. "So people will probably accuse of nepotism, but when you're testing something and want to make sure you've got good people, it makes sense to do that, right? Though in our case, we didn't actually know Xander beyond 'that quirky King kid who made the first properly-functional hoverboard'."
"Nepotism?" I ask.
"Yeah," he says. "Magus Adrian might have looked at us once he realized there weren't any Swedish World of Myst content creators who'd fit into the requirements because of a familial relation to Xander."
"You're Kings, too?"
That's insane. I thought all of the Lumaria Kings were in Kenzibri, but I guess it makes sense some are further out.
"No," he chuckles. "We're related through Xander's birth father's mother."
That's even more insane than them being Lumaria Kings. Was their invitation onto it not just because they're his family, but so that Xander can talk with others who aren't fully human, like him?
"The sun dragon queen?"
"One of her brothers is our grandfather," he tells me. "I accepted because I wanted to get to know my quirky cousin. Think my brothers did, too. And before you ask – the other new members were all content creators already. No nepotism involved in them."
"Huh," I say. "So you're all a quarter dragon, too? That's insane. I thought Xander was the only one."
"More than that!" He laughs. "Our ma's a sun dragon, too! Our parents want us learning how to socialize with humans, though, so she was in human form when we were born so that our more natural one would be human rather than dragon. We do have dragon forms, but they're raising us as humans so we can learn human stuff."
"Ah," I say. "Wait. Is it okay to talk about this in public? I mean, you might not have a ton of followers, I'm guessing, but I have several million already."
"It's fine!" He laughs again. "The whole secrecy thing is because dragons don't really care for the attention. And it avoided people from viewing us as massive threats. And honestly? I wouldn't have mentioned it if you hadn't brought it up first. But overall, it's not an issue."
"Have you ever shown someone your dragon form?"
"Sure," he answers. "A few of my friends at school know. My girlfriend's seen it a few times, too. Kind of intimidated her the first time, but that's what happens when you show up unexpectedly to a dragon's farm while he's napping."
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
"Farm?"
"We raise sun cattle," he explains. "Both dairy and meat farms. It helps feed us in either form, and the food's appetizing to us."
"So here's a question," I say. "Xander's mentioned on a stream a few times that he's descended of supposedly mythical creatures, and I know he gets hate for it. You aren't worried you will, too? Or are you going to prove you're a dragon or something?"
"Haters will hate no matter what," he says. "They'll find something to hate about. And I'm three-quarters dragon. I don't need to prove anything to anyone. That said, we're not exactly allowed to go flying around in public or anything. Something about avoiding causing panic. Also to let the full-blooded ones be the ones to decide. Talking about it's fine, though."
That's weird, but I guess there's some reason which makes sense to dragons for that.
"Do you have-" I start to ask something, but then something on the SMP catches my eye. "Hold on, let's get back into character."
"Alright!"
"Look in the distance there!" I say. "See that village? It's one I looted awhile back! Seems they've recovered, though – the banners I put up to mark my claims are gone! Let's see if they've got new stuff for us to loot!"
I bring the ship over to the shore and we hop out of it and proceed to loot the village. This isn't just a regular natural village, though. When the admins restocked it, they added to it. The buildings have a little more decoration to them now and there are several more of them than I remember. Half as many more villagers as last time wander around, and their iron golems look a bit… different.
Magical runes are on their chests.
"Careful, Captain!" Axel calls out. "These golems are magic! If I'm right, they'll signal to others in the area for backup if they get into a fight! Don't do anything to trigger a golem's attack! Others around will join them!"
That sounds dangerous, but also fun. For now, though, I'll hold off on seeing how that would go down for me.
"Got it!" I respond.
The loot in the chests are a little more abundant now, and there are even tools in some of them.
Without me prompting him to or doing it on my own, Axel loots decorations from the village. He even steals their doors!
Once we finish raiding the village, I put down a trio of banners to mark it and we set sail again. We loot several more villages and a ship that definitely didn't exist the last time I came through this way, then I bring Axel back to my base.
"So?" Axel asks. "Do I get to join your crew? Or should I make my own? I enjoyed this a lot more than I enjoyed being a guard, that's for sure."
"You're in!" I tell him. "And so, you'll get to-GO AWAY!"
I whirl around and swing my sword at the Agent.
"Please cease your pillaging and raiding and turn yourself in," the Agent states.
"NEVER!"
"You have converted another to the illegal ways," the Agent says. "The bounty on you has increased. Please turn yourself in."
"Dude, when are you gonna let me kill you?"
"Please cease."
"Has this worked yet?" I ask.
"Ha ha ha. No."
The Agent vanishes.
"Well, that was ominous."
"Who was that?" Axel asks.
"That's the Agent," I tell him. "There are two of them, and they work for the Manager. I'm not sure who the Manager is, but I think they work for the Federation, my enemy. They won't take me in themselves and keep trying to get me to turn myself in. You can ignore the plant people, they're harmless and only good for putting up bounties."
"Did you try setting them on fire?"
"They seem to be immune," I say. "But I'll figure out how to take 'em out one day!"
We reach the cove not long after that discussion, and Niko hasn't done any work on the entrance. He has done some more decorating outside, though. It's something he's doing as we approach, but he stops once he spots us.
"Hoi, there!" I call out. "Whatcha doing?"
"Some detailing while planning," he says as he navigates the cliff over to beside the entrance, and I stop the boat there to make it easier for us to talk. "Wanted to ask you 'bout something for the setup for the entrance."
"What's up?" I ask as he hops onto the boat.
"I can use tech to make an entrance you open and close," he tells me. "And still blend into the cliff. That'll make it more difficult for someone to find."
"You can do that?" I ask. "Would it work from a distance?"
"Yup!" He answers. "I'd just need a few things, but you don't have them."
"You looted my loot?" I ask.
"No," he answers, but I can hear the grin in his voice. "And even if I did, ain't it all stolen, anyway?"
"Weeeell…"
"The stuff I need for the entrance idea isn't something you can get from looting some random village or ship," he tells me. "I'll have to go out and get it. Might need some muscle at some point, so I'll look into that. But once I'm done, you can use an item as you approach and it'll open the entrance, and then close it again after."
That's insane. I didn't know we could do that in this game but that would be an amazing feature to hide the cove with.
"Sure!" I say. "Thanks for the help, Niko! I'll make sure you're paid handsomely for your assistance once it's done. We'll head in and put away our gains for today."
"Hope it was something good," he says.
"It was!"
Axel and I enter the cove, and I show him to my loot chests and barrels.
"You can have that space over there," I point off to the side. "Don't take my stuff, or you'll pay the price!"
"Ha!" He laughs. "I'll only claim your things if I take over the crew! But for now, I'll get my bearings."
So he plans on challenging me as the leader at some point. I'll need to watch my back… in roleplay, of course.
"Oh," I add. "And everything we got today is mine. This was your trial to see if you're worthy to join my crew! Now that you are, you'll get your fair share in future raids with me!"
We put our loot with my things, and I increase the size of my coin piles a little. It does look like Niko stole some of my things, but I'm not mad. He was right in that it's all stolen loot. Not only that, but it's not as if I'm actually doing anything with it. In-character, I'm accepting that he's taken some of my stuff as payment.
And if he steals too much or something important… well, I'll handle him in a lore manner.
"It's time for me to sign off," I tell Axel. "No using my ship in my absence! You want one, you gotta get your own. If you take mine, well… you'll be feeding the fish!"
"Alright!" Axel laughs. "See ya, Captain!"
"It was nice meeting you!" I tell him. "See ya!
I log off of the server and switch my stream to just my camera and chat.
"That was fun!" I tell my chat. "Axel really got into the pirate roleplay, too! And before you're wondering, no, I had no idea how they were going to arrive, Lexi and I were left out of that. And no, I didn't know he was related to Xander.
"That said," I turn serious. "I saw people saying I'm here because of nepotism and I'm only popular because of Xander. First. This was initially just going to be a casual server between Xander and some of his friends. That's not nepotism, that's friends hanging out on a server.
"Second," I say. "I had over half a million followers before the first stream or video I was in with Xander. I was already blowing up! The clips of the stuff I've done were and still are viral. That has nothing to do with Xander! It's my own skill! And if my popularity came entirely from Xander, then why the fuck are you here? I don't interact with him much in my streams! You're clearly here because of me! So fuck right off!
"Also," I say. "I saw people making fun of Axel and me because of the whole dragon discussion. Xander's been pretty open about being the grandson of nonhuman beings. It's your choice to doubt it, but being a dick isn't right and it's certainly not acceptable. So you can all fuck right off, too! The day Xander learns how to shapeshift into a dragon is the absolute latest day for the world to see a dragon in the sky and for all of you jerkwads to realize how much of an idiot you are!"
I take me a few moments to try and calm down. That annoyed me so much and I'm probably not handling this right but it's my first time dealing with something like that. It took a lot of effort to ignore it while playing with Axel but I really needed to address it.
Aunt Rachel did time out a bunch of people, but I needed to say something, too. It couldn't be all her. These idiots haven't even cared about the fact that I currently have as many followers as Xander does. Which wouldn't happen if my popularity was entirely from him.
My popularity is by my own merit, not from nepotism. And as I just said, me being on this server isn't nepotism, either. It was literally a server between friends that ended up getting expanded.
"Anyway," I say. "Thanks for watching everyone. I really had fun hanging out with Axel and getting to meet him, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Niko does for the entrance to my base."
I do my closing stuff a little rushed because I'm still annoyed, then end stream and get ready to go meet up with my friends. Even if we all just come back here, I still join them at the meeting spot anyway. I like hanging out with them from that point rather than waiting for them to come here.
Just thinking about waiting for them to arrive feels weird to me.
As I change outfits to something a lot warmer, a message comes in from Xander via our direct messages rather than the group chat. It's a picture of him in wolfkin form, though it only shows down to his shoulders, which are bare. He must be getting ready for another nap. Interacting with whoever he hung out with today must have exhausted him again, even with the pre-stream nap he took.
[Sig]: Enjoy your nap!
[Sig]: Or your swim session.
[Sig]: Whichever you're going to do!
[Xander]: Nap. Thanks.
I giggle a little. He must be really tired, to not respond to my comment about swimming.
I finish getting ready to go, then head upstairs. Aunt Rachel's waiting for me when I reach the top of the steps.
"Sorry for swearing," I tell her, and she pulls me into a hug. "Aunt Rachel!"
"I should've been more aggressive with the moderation," she tells me as I wrap my arms around her. "So automod would pick up quickly to block the more harsh messages. Even if they don't believe you, they shouldn't have acted that way."
"You're not mad I swore?"
"A little," she gives me a light swat on the butt before returning to hugging me. "But I could tell you were getting pretty angry during the stream when you saw those messages. You did a good job staying in character, but your face kept showing how you really felt whenever you saw them. Try not to swear so much next time something like this happens, alright?"
"Does it have to happen again?"
"There will always be haters," she gives me a light pat on my back. "Now go have fun with your friends."
[Xander – 13 years] → begins during Sig's PoV
"I've never had sun beef before," I tell Niels.
We're on the island I assigned to him as I'd come over to ask him a question, then asked if he could help me with making a custom tree for my farms. The goal is to make my farms look like they're in a mystical forest, that they're a part of mystical forests.
As I build the tree I was thinking of doing, Niels chops down others on the island. Natural ones rather than my custom one. There are several types of fairy islands in the biome, some of which are just fields while others are forests, and some that are in-between. This island is lightly wooded and has a pond in it and I felt it would be a good spot for him to get a start on for his own base.
Even if he could customize any of them to have what he wants, I still felt this would be a good one in case he wanted to use the natural terrain in his builds. He didn't complain about it and even suggested I build my custom tree here for him to look at while he works.
I was going to build it on a different island for us to look at, but I guess this works.
"Really?" He asks.
"Yeah," I answer. "Didn't know it was a thing. Since I've got sun dragon in me, though, maybe it'll taste good?"
"Maybe," he says. "You're about a quarter sun dragon, so you'll probably have a taste for it. What kind of meat do you normally prefer?"
"I like mindwave beef," I tell him. "Though I haven't really tried a variety of magical beefs yet."
"If you can find some sun beef," he says. "I'd recommend it."
"I'll consider it," I say. "How does this look?"
Niels looks at the tree I was making. It's sort of like the normal trees on the island, except bigger. I harvested wood and leaves from a bunch of them to make this one. The reason it's bigger than normal trees is so that when I build them around my farms, I can have them stretch over and cover parts of them. That will give them some shade and not feel as open.
"Hm…" he says. "Are you wanting to stick with just bigger versions of vanilla trees, or do you want to do more custom trees? The idea's to have the farms look like they're in a forest, right? And to give them some decent shade?"
"Yeah," I nod. "The crops here don't need sunlight, they just need light. I guess they're supposed to be magic ones."
Niels snorts.
"What do you mean by 'more custom trees'?" I ask.
"You can use more than just plain logs and the leaves," he tells me. "You used the blue leaves rather than purple for that one… do you have any purple blocks? And blue blocks? Or items which can be made into those?"
"I think I have some at my house," I tell him. "Um… there might be some at spawn, too."
"If you can," he says. "Can you get about a stack of each? Purple and blue. Also, get some blue crystals, too. I can show you what I mean by that. Oh, and if you're grabbing blue and purple wood, just the logs is fine! We can make the other bits from those, but maybe get two stacks."
This is confusing.
"Um… okay."
I grab all of the stuff I can find and think of for this, then return to Niels' island. He's got a lot more of the trees down and is breaking leaves. All he has are wooden tools, which is somewhat slow for him to use. Should I trade him some metal ones for whatever lesson he's about to use? That would help him go faster.
It's not as if he can leave the island and return… there aren't bridges between them. I made a temporary path between islands to bring him over here, but I destroyed them after we passed through so that they didn't make things look ugly.
To reach his island again, I flew over.
He'd have to build a bridge on his own to travel between islands, and getting up and down between the islands and the world below would be difficult. I suppose he could make a waterfall to go down and come back up so he can acquire materials on his own. That would be tedious and slow, though.
"Ready?" Niels asks me.
"Um… please wait," I tell him.
"Okay!"
He puts down a few double-chests as I do something, then I fly back to the main fairy village and put a newly-crafted teleport pad down. A purple crystal pops out of it. That's a teleport shard and is used to link up teleport pads so that the game knows which one to take someone to when they use a teleport pad. I put down the other pad and place its crystal in the first one, then pick the second one back up.
"Here," I throw the second teleport pad and the teleport shard from the first one after I return to Niels's island. "That's so you can get to the main fairy village."
"Okay!"
Niels puts his teleport pad down near the pond, then puts the shard from the other one into this one The shard simply tells the teleport pad where to teleport someone to, its own shard doesn't need to be in the other end to work.
He uses the teleport pad, then returns after a few minutes. In that time, I put the stuff I brought into the double chests he'd set down. I also make sure it's all organized properly.
"Alright," he says. "Now we can go both ways now instead of just one."
"Okay."
"Before I start showing you a more detailed custom tree," he says. "Mind if I ask how you're handling chat's comments?"
"Chat's comments?"
"Mine had some words about the whole 'we're both part-dragon' discussion we had," he says. "And since you're a lot bigger and have a lot more viewers than me, I'm sure people were saying stuff in your chat, too."
"Oh," I say. "I put chat in emote-only mode when we started talking 'cause there were people being weird in it."
"Weird how?"
"I don't want to talk about it," I say. "What were they saying about the dragon stuff?"
"They don't believe that dragons are actually real," he explains. "And that you claiming to be part-dragon and other stuff is just for attention and you messing with people."
"Oh… they're fucking idiots and assholes," I say. "I don't lie!"
"I know," he says. "Her Majesty was pretty clear that you don't lie and are unlikely to participate in roleplay because of that."
"You talked to Grandma… uh… I forget her name," I say. "She knows about me?"
"She said one of our great-uncles has kept her updated on you," he tells me. "And roleplaying isn't lying, you know."
"People will accuse me of it, anyway."
"Those who do are nothing more than sad, pathetic people with no lives," he says. "But that's a different matter. Let's get building. So one thing to know about custom trees is that you don't need to stick to just plain logs and leaves. You can use non-wood blocks as well, and can even use things like fences, walls, slabs, stairs, and more. It helps to add detail."
Niels shows me how to make a few different varieties of trees, and he explains what each thing he does is for. Adding in roots, making branches look less blocky, and taking in the theme into its look. The first trees he makes have purple trunks with blue leaves, but not all of the leaves are from the fairy islands' trees. Some of them are actually blocks of other things, like glass and other crystals.
I'm not very good at making them.
"It's just a practice thing," Niels tells me. "The more you do it, the more you'll figure out what your tastes are and what you think looks good. You seem to lean more towards thicker ones."
"Is that bad?"
"No," he answers. "A lot of people do shorter, squatter trees if they're thicker. If you're doing it taller, you'll want it to branch out more, have a wider canopy. Just remember, don't completely fill in the canopy with leaves. Completely filled with them will look odd, and real trees have empty space as well."
"Will try to remember that."
"Alright!" He says.
"Um… thanks for showing me this," I tell him, then put down a chest and put some stuff in it. "Here. You can have these. I'm gonna go back to my stuff now."
"Let me know if you want to ask anything else!" He says. "See ya!"
"Bye."
I return to the main fairy village and make sure he didn't mess with anything in those few minutes he was here. There wasn't any reason for him to come over here after he picked the spot for the pad. If it was just to check where it went, there was no reason for him to take a few minutes to return.
Nothing seems to have been messed with. Maybe he was talking with chat about something?
Now that I've made sure he didn't mess with anything, I check the quests at the board, then do the ones available before it's time to end the stream.
"Don't be weird tomorrow, chat," I say. "Anyone who's still being weird for tomorrow's stream, if I do it, will get timed out for two weeks, okay? I'm not changing chat back until it's time to start my next stream. Bye."
I end the stream, then get up and stretch for a few moments before preparing for a nap. For some reason, Sig thinks I might be going swimming instead of napping. He says to enjoy my nap or swim session.
I normally take a nap after stream, and I'm in my wolfkin form again, which he knows I go into after my streams to take a nap. Why would he think I'm going swimming? That's just weird.
Trying to figure out why Sig thought that is only going to make me more tired, so I put my phone away, climb into bed, get under the blanket and readjust some of my stuffed animals, then quickly fall asleep.
