Aqua
I begin to use Abyssal Ruler one time after another on the turtles. Only to end up gritting my teeth when it keeps failing on most of them. Over and over again.
This doesn't bode well…
What's more is that there are only about half of the turtles in shape enough for me to even use Abyssal Ruler on. Seeing as I fed half of them to the dead maw.
So in the end, after five uses of Abyssal Ruler, I only end up getting a few dozen abyssal servants made out of the turtles.
Which is rather ridiculous.
Still. That's probably enough.
With that in mind, I turn my attention towards the bigger turtle.
The big turtle is level one hundred and ninety-seven. Which is still seventeen levels above me.
But with the help of all my abyssal servants, I manage to take it down without much of a fight. Giving me more levels in the process along with another point of REGEN.
[Congratulations! You have now reached level 181! As the current First Ranker of Oceana, your total free points have increased by three, and your mana stat has increased by ten. Allocate the free points whenever you please.]
[Congratulations! You have now reached level 182! As the current First Ranker of Dartric, your total free points have increased by three, and your mana stat has increased by ten. Allocate the free points whenever you please.]
[Congratulations! You have now reached level 183! As the current First Ranker of Oceana, your total free points have increased by three, and your mana stat has increased by ten. Allocate the free points whenever you please.]
[You have killed a creature underwater. Apex Predator of the Depths has been activated, increasing your REGEN stat by one.]
Not a half bad haul for the time it took to get here.
This gave me quite a lot of levels overall.
My eyes narrow at the massive turtle before taking a deep breath.
Then I use Abyssal Ruler.
Only to fail.
So I use it again.
And fail again.
Then three tries later, I feel nothing but disappointment as I fail to extract a servant out of the big turtle. Leaving me sighing before turning around and beginning to make my way towards the tour guide.
Who is currently looking rather terrified of the sight behind me.
Not that I can really blame him. Considering that the dead maw is still here, along with dozens of undead and dozens of the turtles who I've turned into servants.
And they're all just following behind me in silence.
I glance at the chat.
[and she's traumatizing him again]
[Back at work frightening the tour guide.]
[Poor tour guide.]
[I love seeing her interactions with him. They're hilarious.]
[Much better than he who shall not be named.]
[yuck. don't mention the blacksmith. he still deserves the most gruesomest of deaths.]
[Go Jaleth! You can do it! Don't lose your mind interacting with our little Aqua!]
I lift a brow.
Why do I feel like they're making fun of me without making fun of me?

Also, who's Jaleth?
I frown at that thought before eventually shrugging. Then I go ahead and open my status as I swim over towards the tour guide.

Nice.
Very nice in fact.
The biggest thing there is that massive boost in REGEN. Since now my regeneration is about two hundred and seventy nine times faster than a normal human being's regeneration.
I feel the corner of my lips quirking upwards at that thought.
My regeneration is finally starting to reach the point where it could actually be of use to me in combat.
Anyway, I turn my attention back to the tour guide after that thought. Just to find him having calmed down again while seemingly trying to ignore my servants' existence entirely.
"You…" the tour guide mutters while staring at me. "You actually beat them with ease…"
I nod my head and answer with a short and simple, "Yep. Thanks for the prey."
He stares blankly at me for a bit longer before eventually asking, "Do you think you can take on the valla?"
If I remember correctly, the valla was level two hundred and thirty-eight from what he said earlier. And since it's an electricity user, it probably doesn't have much that it can actually do against my abyssal servants.
"Sure," I answer him with a nod. "I'll help you tomorrow."
First I need to let my mana regenerate back to full before I deal with that.
The tour guide looks incredibly happy at my words, but I don't really care. And the two of us begin heading back to report what went down here.
Or to be more precise, to report that the Hunter's City is once again free of monsters.
So they can move back in again after making repairs to the city.
While heading back to the city though, I can't help but focus on some of the mail I've received.
Specifically mail mentioning news from the Abyss.
News about the discovery of a temple deep down in the Abyss with ancient pictures engraved on stone tablets. Ones depicting a bunch of enormous black and deep blue tentacles stretching out of the Abyss towards all the Ancient Monsters.
The news isn't public yet and is just being sent to me by my grandfather on the Kraken's side.
As for their current theory about the news? One made through looking at the other tablets in that very temple?
It's a shocking theory.
And it's a theory that completely shatters every previous theory anyone has ever had about the Abyss itself.
The theory is a simple one.
The Abyss is just the Abyssal Kraken's Domain, and the Ancient Monsters are all prisoners in the Abyss.
They arrived at this theory because there were other tablets in the temple depicting the Ancient Monsters bound by chains of tentacles and water deep in the Abyss. Implying that they're not dead but are instead just locked up.
Imprisoned.
Huh…
That's unexpected.
Who would've thought that the Ancient Monsters may all still be alive? Much less that they're imprisoned somewhere.
Except the Bloodbone Tree.
Then again, it's not exactly easy to imprison a tree.
Especially when the tree already has a Domain of its own.
On that note, it would explain why you can't record things inside of the Abyss. If the Abyss is actually a Domain.
Some of the researchers on the Bloodlines, Ancient Monsters, and the Abyss are too terrified to admit this theory is highly likely though. Since it's just too terrifying.
The idea that the Abyssal Kraken is a creature powerful enough to imprison all of the other Ancient Monsters and to keep up a Domain as massive as the Abyss for tens of thousands of years.
Which is why the theory hasn't been made public yet.
They just refuse to believe the theory could be true since it's so terrifying. And others don't want to make it public unless it's a hundred percent confirmed because it could cause a panic in the people.
Regardless, more and more people who are in the know are wanting people to begin exploring deeper into the Abyss.
And on top of that, more and more people want a Pioneer who can broadcast it, therefore showing proof that this is true, to enter the Abyss.
After all, the only thing people have to go on for this theory is mention of tablets and a temple by the Bloodliners.
There's no confirmed proof about it other than some of the tablets they brought back.
But in the eyes of these terrified researchers and politicians, those tablets could easily be faked.
I let out a sigh at the thought of those cowards.
More importantly, everything points towards the Abyssal Kraken being a real creature after all.
Which has me wondering something.
Just what will my relationship be with the Abyssal Kraken if I ever meet it?
And how will the Abyss itself feel should I enter it?
Those questions linger in my mind as the tour guide and I continue our trip back to the Hunter's City in the Cryaxis ocean.
