Maid with Necromancy

Glimpses -Twenty-one

Ha'zel Ri

A dog and their bones. Ha'zel Ri's humanoid form lounged on this throne of skulls. His bushy dog tail and white ears could have him easily mistaken for a beast kin. Across the room, scenes played out for each competitor, scrys linked to them, limited in that only the competitors were under supervision. A flaw that couldn't be avoided. Several of the mobile bonds often went off to do their own things, including that darn toad. Which wouldn't have been an issue if he hadn't stared at the scry and laughed before slinking off.

The one-minute delay to the projections allowed him to select what he wanted to be shown. This whole exercise was a gamble that was running at a slight loss of energy. If nothing came to fruition in the next hundred years, it would be a return to the long slumber.

So much risk with this one. It was hard not to feel anxiety even while dead. It was almost a relief that a new distraction had entered the picture.

"Fossil, do you wish to play with our guests on the second floor?"

The lumbering petrified guardian looked up from his corner. He'd been sulking since his loss to White months ago. "Let me win?" he asked hopefully.

"You know I designed you as a specific kind of challenge. This one has an interesting party composition, a mix of overpowered and weak. You'll have restrictions, but this is a challenge you could win."

Fossil settled back into his lump, grumbling. That wasn't a response too different from what he'd been told before fighting Harmony and her group of overleveled pawns.

"Don't be that way. Wait until I tell you what I have planned." Ha'zel Ri let his grin expand as his form shifted back to that of a wolf with its razor-sharp teeth and tongue lolling out of his mouth hungrily.
