Isecant - Party based LitRPG-lite / Progression adventure

Bonus chapter - An unexpected Horace story pt XI

Amelia had noted, that Emcee had been following her since the moment they left the casual one-shot victory adventure. There was no way in hell a rookie, even one that is a prodigy like Emcee, could try and be stealthy around someone like Amelia.

Determined to make a point because, no cap, it was creepy as fuck, and she was with her special little sausage. He didn't need to be getting ideas that stalking people, was a normal and ok thing to do.

The dungeon was not nearby. About two hours at a reasonably paced walk, though this was a lot for a little one like Horace. Amelia took the opportunity to carry Horace over her shoulders again, that food was going to go cold if she didn't hurry up. She wanted to see if Horace had potential to spot the weirdo lurker following them too.

"Come on then luv, up you get," dangling Horace over her shoulders with one arm she uttered, "And there we are." Horace was not pleased. Though, he didn't lash out for fear of taking a legendary tier piece of footwear to the ear. "Food's gonna be cold if we don't get back soon, I'd hate to waste all that MEAT." Amelia laughed and turned her face to the bushes where Emcee had been hiding

No way can she see me in here, The two women were looking for each other dead in the eyes, though Emcee was not accepting that Amelia could see her, it's not her fault she was too basic at that age, for real. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead, her heart raced, and she was on the verge of shaking from the adrenaline.

A hungry, HUNGRY, little man however wanted to ruin Amelia's post-fight stare down, "Mum how longs that gonna take? Am hungry~"

I need to take your ass to the vet, stop getting worms you dirt eating child of mine, "Alright Horacio, let's get going." Amelia took one last look at the bush before turning away as she finished talking.

Amelia quickly picked up the pace this time. She wanted to see how dedicated the girl lurking in the bush was. She pulled out a bottle full of clear liquid and drank from it. Pretending that she was amped up, she started jumping around on the spot whilst Horace was bounced around so hard that he was getting dizzy. It didn't matter to Amelia; however, she sprinted away causing Emcee to break cover trying to keep up.

My gosh. Who is this woman? Does she not partake in the rankings? I can barely keep up with her! Excitement and fearful thoughts whizzed around Emcee's mind. To her, it was akin to a predator at the bottom of a hierarchy, trying to learn from a predator, that had long since taken over it's neighbours spot.

The lack of direct cover really slowed down her pacing, and she had to time her sprints between the trees. Ortum season was in, so all the plant life were shedding for the year long before this chase began. An endless road of browns, reds and blues for almost an hour, of diving between places, dirtying her self up. The 10000m sprinter she was desperately following lead her down into a closed off housing project area. Cheaply made stone house's were dotted about with the odd barrel fire keeping the locals warm in their garden sofa parties.

Where the hell am I? I'm going to get kidnapped, deadass, this is whack. Who raises a kid in a place like this anyway?
