North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 602: Pursuit

All four enforcers were sprawled on the ground, the one who got punched in the nose seemed to be in the most pain, clutching it with both hands and rolling around. Jimmy's punch was probably too hard.

Jimmy kicked at one of the guys who was only holding his waist beside him, "You, tell me, where is Sergeyev?"

The enforcer got kicked again by Jimmy, and could only clutch his waist while lying on the ground, cautiously saying, "He's not here... he didn't come today."

Jimmy: "Where is he?"

Enforcer: "I don't know, I'm just a small fry."

Jimmy: "Go in and find someone who knows... hurry."

Jimmy stepped aside a bit, still watching these guys, preventing them from pulling out any dangerous items.

The enforcer whom Jimmy kicked was clutching his side with one hand and struggled to stand up, supporting himself against the wall as he slowly took a few steps, finally regaining some composure before walking back into the nightclub. Jimmy watched as he entered the club and spoke to someone beside him, then quickly weaved through the crowd and entered a room at the back.

The person he spoke to summoned two more people to come out. They came to the alley by the backdoor, raising their hands to show they posed no threat. The leader softly said to Jimmy, "I apologize for what happened earlier, they acted a bit rashly. I want to take them back now, they may need some checking."

Jimmy: "Are you Sergeyev?"

The leader said: "No, I'm Ivan, just a nobody. Someone's already been sent to contact Sergeyev, I think he'll be here soon."

Jimmy nodded: "Take them back."

The leader Ivan waved his hand, and the people with him helped the three on the ground to stand up. They looked at the surveillance camera over the door before the backdoor automatically opened, allowing them to walk inside.

Jimmy just stood there in the corner, out of the camera's sight, soon the backdoor sounded again, and three people emerged, one of them being the enforcer who went inside earlier, now no longer holding his side and looking much more normal.

The leader glanced at the door, raised his hand to stop the two following him, and walked straight up to Jimmy, "I'm Sergeyev. Who are you?"

Jimmy: "Sergeyev, the people here in Gravesend should be under your command, right?"

Sergeyev: "Before I answer you, I think you should tell me your name first."

Jimmy: "FBI Senior Agent Jimmy Yang, now answer my question, are the people here in Gravesend under your command?"

Sergeyev: "I have no conflict with you, our people are very honest, why ask?"

Jimmy: "I'm not here to cause you trouble today, I need to find a street vendor. Tell me, is that vendor called Black Wolf one of yours, and where is he now?"

Sergeyev: "I don't know this person."

Jimmy immediately drew his Glock, crossing his hands at his abdomen, "I think you might need to reconsider your answer, I want accurate information, this person goes by the nickname Black Wolf and is selling nearby."

Sergeyev looked at Jimmy, reached into his clothes with his right hand, and pulled out his phone from the inner pocket, confirming Jimmy didn't make any move to shoot. As he scrolled through his phone, he walked back to the nightclub's backdoor, making a call beside his two subordinates.

Soon, he hung up the call, took a cigarette from one of his men, lit it, and waited for a call back. He accepted a call, quickly ended it, and kept watching Jimmy until his phone rang again.

This time, he probably received some news. Sergeyev hung up the call, walked up to Jimmy, "Agent Yang, sorry for the wait. I've sent someone to find the person you're looking for. Let's go inside to wait for the news; it's not good to just stay here."

Jimmy: "Confirmed?"

Sergeyev nodded, gesturing towards the backdoor: "Please enter."

Jimmy holstered his Glock, adjusted his clothes: "Thank you."

Jimmy and Sergeyev entered the nightclub through the backdoor, heading to an office. Sergeyev dismissed his subordinates, motioning for Jimmy to sit on a chair in the reception area while he went to the desk, grabbing two cups and an opened bottle of alcohol, "Please have a seat, care for a drink?"

Jimmy took off his trench coat and placed it on the armrest, sitting opposite Sergeyev, "How long?"

Sergeyev: "It won't be long. May I ask why you're looking for him?"

Jimmy: "He took something that doesn't belong to him. Or do you think I have time to spare? Or you're hoping Agent Ruiz calls your boss?"

Sergeyev shook his head, "No, no, don't misunderstand. I just want to know what he did, no other intentions. Agent Yang, our people will find him. If he really took something he shouldn't have, I hope you can let me know in advance so we can assist in retrieving it."

Jimmy looked at Sergeyev, it seemed clear enough now, he must have gotten some information: "A Glock pistol."

Sergeyev nodded: "Alright, I understand. I'll step out for a moment, be back soon. Please wait."

Sergeyev stood up, heading out while reaching into his pocket for his phone.

Jimmy watched Sergeyev leave the room, entering an adjacent room, and then making a call. At this moment, Jimmy was the only one in this room, with no one else around, while the two who entered with them stood guard at a distant corner, preventing others from approaching.
