Chapter 117: Sword Trial Princess Knight

As Lucrezia and General Aboer left the training ground, lively discussions erupted once more.

The topic of discussion was whether Lucrezia would be "bullied" by General Aboer.

To this, Liens could only say that they were worrying for nothing.

Given the "levels" currently displayed by the two, unless that "Princess Knight" took the initiative, it would probably be very difficult for their General to gain an advantage.

The discussions were, after all, brief; although the soldiers were very concerned about such matters, their regular training still needed to proceed.

This would not change due to Lucrezia's arrival and departure.

"Heier, didn't you say you wanted to practice swordsmanship?"

"Coincidentally, this is the training ground; I'll teach you swordsmanship."

After Lucrezia left, Gars looked bored, and when he saw Liens pick up a sword and start swinging it, he suggested.

"That's not good, it would take up your time and energy; I'd better practice by myself."

"I bought a copy of 'Sword Style Explanation' before, and I've memorized the moves in it; I'm just about to practice."

Liens refused Gars's suggestion, making up another excuse to put him off.

While he was bored with nothing to do, Liens had his own swordsmanship to practice.

How could he waste time playing along with him?

As for "Sword Style Explanation," it was the explanation Liens came up with for the "Body Tempering Swordsmanship" he was practicing.

Anyway, after incorporating his understanding of wind, his swordsmanship, to those with insufficient skill, looked like random sword-wielding without any method.

It wouldn't affect his concealment at all.

"Alright then… you go practice on your own first; if you have any questions, come ask me."

Gars watched as Liens started practicing the swordsmanship he had learned from who knows where, frowning as he spoke.

He hadn't expected Liens to give up the guidance of a "great master" like himself, opting instead to practice such slow and chaotic swordsmanship.

He was somewhat displeased by this and decided to ignore Liens for a few days.

Once Liens realized that the "Sword Style Explanation" was useless, he would naturally come back to him.

With that, Gars turned to find others.

Because he discovered that there were a few soldiers with good swordsmanship, and seeing them sparked his interest, he prepared to go and learn from them.

Liens paid no mind to Gars's departure, silently practicing his swordsmanship.

Even with the strange looks cast his way, he didn't care, even taking the opportunity to practice his ability to perceive gazes.

...

At noon, training ended, and after eating in the mess hall, Liens returned to his dormitory.

"What happened to you?"

Liens looked at Gars, who appeared somewhat disheveled, and asked with confusion.

"I was careless, I accidentally lost to a few rascals."

"Mainly, I didn't have time to dodge then, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have lost."

Gars explained to Liens with an embarrassed look.

Hearing this, Liens understood that he had challenged someone to a fight and lost.

"Hmm, well, you should rest well; don't let your wounds split open."

Liens casually expressed his concern.

"It's fine, I've already drunk a Healing Potion; don't mind the many wounds now, they'll all be healed soon."

Gars explained.

"Okay, if you're fine, I'm going to sleep; this morning's training was quite tiring."

Liens continued.

With that, he didn't wait for Gars's response, directly lay down on the bed, and fell asleep.

Gars watched Liens fall asleep in an instant, the words he wanted to ask about how his swordsmanship practice went stopping directly in his throat.

The scene shifted.

Liens once again stood on the training ground, and it was now time for Lucrezia to instruct the soldiers.

In the morning, Liens had carefully watched every one of Lucrezia's battles.

Of course, he wasn't looking at her like Gars was.

Although it was pleasing to the eye, he was a proper person.

He was observing Lucrezia's swordsmanship, attempting to find her "Sword Style" from those battles.

However, perhaps Lucrezia's opponents were too weak, affecting her performance.

Therefore, he couldn't discern anything from it.

He couldn't even confirm whether Lucrezia had reached the level of a "Sword Style."

But he didn't believe Lucrezia hadn't reached that level.

"This kind of thing always falls to me in the end, but 'unknown' is more interesting to fight."

Liens thought with some excitement.

Then, while all the soldiers were raising their hands and shouting "Me, me," he directly pushed aside the people in front and rushed into the open space.

"I'll try your swordsmanship!"

Liens pointed his sword at Lucrezia on the field, seriously inviting her to battle.

"Damn it, why didn't I think of that?"

Gars said with some regret as he saw Liens rush in.

Not just Gars, many people who saw Liens's unconventional behavior also regretted why their brains hadn't come up with it.

The general beside looked at Lucrezia, seemingly asking if she would accept the duel invitation from this rule-breaker.

"Then, please draw your sword!"

Lucrezia did not refuse, responding with a smile.

"Bang!"

As Lucrezia's words fell, a figure appeared almost instantly before her eyes.

A flash of silver light, and a sharp blade swept towards Lucrezia's throat.

"Clang!"

Lucrezia raised her longsword, blocking Liens's lightning-fast horizontal slash.

Seeing this, Liens quickly retracted his sword, then continued to launch a direct thrust towards her neck.

"Clang!"

Lucrezia sidestepped to dodge, while using a slash to deflect the trajectory of the direct thrust, then swept her sword horizontally.

The longsword slashed towards Liens's chest.

Liens retreated to dodge the attack, but Lucrezia directly changed her horizontal slash into a direct thrust, lunging forward to stab towards Liens's heart.

Facing the incoming fatal attack, Liens's expression remained calm.

He slightly shifted his body to the right to avoid the vital heart area, while swinging his sword to slash at Lucrezia's head.

Facing such a desperate fighting style, Lucrezia naturally chose to retract her attack and raise her sword to parry.

Liens seized the opportunity to launch another swift attack, a phantom-like thrust stabbing towards Lucrezia's heart.

Lucrezia frowned, wanting to do something, but ultimately chose to block with her sword held horizontally across her chest, using the sword body to block Liens's thrust.

"Clang!"

The sword tip collided with the sword body, making a sound and sparking.

The impact force carried by Liens's longsword transferred through Lucrezia's sword body to her.

Lucrezia was forced back a few steps, and the ripples on her chest swayed with it.

Liens frowned, because he found that Lucrezia was not as strong as he had imagined.

Although she had also comprehended "Sword Instinct," and although Liens had not yet seen what her "Sword Style" was.

But based on her current performance, her swordsmanship could absolutely not compare to that knight of the Pello Family.

Is she still hiding something?

Liens didn't know, but if the opponent truly only had this level, he wouldn't mind giving her a death.
