Chapter 246: Great Mage Lucrezia

"The magic cast by a Great Mage is influenced, or rather, strengthened, by their own magical power characteristics."

As Liens watched the exquisite longsword in Lucrezia's hand, which seemed to exist only in dreams, he silently noted this characteristic in his heart.

"Clang!"

The exquisite longsword met the faintly glowing blue longsword, and Lucrezia launched the first attack.

At this moment, her figure exuded a hazy aura, seemingly unchanged, yet it gave one a feeling that could only be seen in dreams, dreamlike and illusory.

The two swords touched and separated instantly. Liens felt no stiffness at all. He exerted force with his right hand, concentrating elemental power and "momentum" onto his sword, striking at the dreamlike figure.

The longsword met no resistance, cutting through the figure and even splitting the ground from a distance.

Before the severed illusion completely disappeared, several identical figures attacked Liens from all directions in a pincer movement.

Liens's expression remained unchanged. His perception spread out, and in an instant, he pinpointed the real Lucrezia, swinging his sword diagonally to meet her.

At the same time, the "Heaven and Earth Killing Intent" unfolded, and the slashes from the Heaven and Earth shattered the illusions, which also possessed the ability to deliver real blows.

Seeing her technique being broken, Lucrezia did not meet Liens's slash head-on, but instead chose to evade the longsword again by shifting through illusions.

Watching another severed illusion, Liens chose not to remain in place.

"Crack!"

With a step and an instant movement, a sword thrust out at extreme speed, its blue light pointing directly at Lucrezia, who had just revealed herself.

Upon seeing this, Lucrezia's expression became solemn. She held her sword horizontally in front of her, and at the same time, her body became even more hazy, as if something indistinct covered her.

"Clang!"

The sword, concentrating most of Liens's power, broke the exquisite longsword that was blocking horizontally and then broke through the layers of shields on Lucrezia's body.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Under that single sword strike, Lucrezia flew backward like a cannonball, stopping after consecutively crashing into several thick trees.

"Magic influenced by magical power characteristics will alter its original elemental structure, forming a new magic based on the original elemental structure."

"The transformed magical power of a Great Mage is not added to the original magic like a general module; instead, it causes the original magical elemental structure to become individual modules added to the magical power."

"Is this the truth of Grand Magic? No wonder the Dean, even though he had already learned 'Gravity Domain,' still found it difficult to cast... It wasn't just a matter of old age and infirmity."

Liens did not continue to pursue Lucrezia but stopped to ponder his recent discoveries.

Lucrezia got up from the ground, the haziness on her body significantly reduced. Although she had been sent flying by that sword strike, she hadn't suffered much damage because her shields hadn't been completely broken.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have just been sent flying; she would have been directly pierced by that sword.

Lucrezia looked through the rising dust with a solemn expression, gazing at the figure that was not particularly tall.

It truly lives up to its reputation as the existence that killed Liens, the Earl Bard.

Although it was only a brief exchange of a few sword strikes, she had already realized that by relying on conventional means alone, she would find it difficult to last more than a few rounds against Liens.

Even though she had used the characteristics of her own magic to blur her figure, Liens still easily detected her, and even with various buffs, she couldn't contend with his seemingly effortless sword strike.

She didn't know how Liens, as a knight, could possess such immense power. Is the Grandmaster Realm truly that powerful?

What relieved her was that, apart from the intense and highly realistic killing intent when they first started, Liens had not shown any strong desire to kill her again.

He didn't even choose to continue the pursuit during such a good opportunity just now.

This made her realize that Liens merely wanted to test her strength, and did not harbor any hostility towards her, which also meant that she still had hope of drawing Liens to her side.

She even had the idea of taking the opportunity to test Liens, wanting to see how he would perform.

If Liens performed exceptionally well, then she would have to consider increasing his importance and re-planning her strategy to win him over.

Thoughts raced through her mind. No longer overthinking, Lucrezia prepared to use her true methods.

"Next, I'm getting serious."

A voice, seemingly containing a gentle dream, drifted into Liens's ears with the wind. This was Lucrezia's declaration of attack.

Realizing that Liens merely wanted to test her strength, she naturally wanted to take advantage of the situation to make a good impression on him.

Perhaps after this battle, she could bring this powerful young man into her faction.

As her words fell, with Lucrezia's standing position as the center, a huge magic circle appeared in both the earth and the sky.

Then, the earth magic circle ascended, and the sky magic circle descended, each rising and falling to the other's original position, then fading and disappearing into the Heaven and Earth.

Liens watched this scene intently, neither stopping it nor finding it easy to stop.

The moment the magic circles appeared, the magic was already complete; the subsequent changes were merely ritualistic additions, allowing the magic to gain a slight strengthening of some concept.

Liens could feel the surroundings entering a state similar to a domain—no, it should be said that this was a domain.

On the other side.

After Lucrezia unleashed her magic, the spreading magical power fluctuations immediately drew the attention of those waiting in the tent for her to bring the person over.

"That's Lucrezia's magical power fluctuation. Such a strong fluctuation must mean she used Grand Magic."

A middle-aged man sitting beside Balder, dressed in a dark robe and looking slightly older than Balder, said with a solemn expression.

"Perhaps something unexpected has happened."

Balder said in a serious, deep voice.

Upon hearing this, a figure's face showed an anxious expression. He immediately picked up the silver long spear placed nearby and quickly rushed out of the meeting tent, sprinting towards outside the military camp.

Then another figure stood up, smiled slightly, apologized to everyone, and also rushed out of the tent.

"We should go too. Although Lucrezia hasn't sent back any message, it shouldn't be a very serious situation, but it's also possible that the opponent has blocked Lucrezia's signal."

Balder issued the command. The others nodded, and then all the high-ranking members of the Rebel Army immediately rushed in the direction from which the magical power fluctuations came.

After they set off, the guards patrolling around the military camp arrived with the delayed alarm.

"Report, abnormal movement detected in the northwest direction."
