Meteor Fall Master in the 'Starry Abyss'

Chapter 100: You Can Call Me Mingji Professor

Just as Qinlan Jiuge was earnestly persuading Glina, Land Loyd in the adjacent detention room also fell into a bout of anxiety.

The progression of events had far exceeded his expectations, and upon arriving at the Narrative domain, he found himself unable to contact friends and allies.

Within the Inherent Time Domain, the Narrative Civilization rules the roost, even "Starry Abyss" cannot meddle with this starfield.

Forget about influence, external communications are impossible, and at its core, the issue lies with the fact that, in a certain sense, Narrative Civilization is a presence that advances and retreats alongside this layer of Starry Abyss, making them increasingly equal in status with the Primordial Abyss forces.

Once within the Inherent Time Domain, players cannot resurrect in the external space; either abandon the summoned body or find a way to exit and leave the Inherent Time Domain.

This essentially reflects one thing: the control of Primordial Abyss over other Narrative Civilizations can't be said to be limited, at least it's utterly ineffective.

'Could this be the grand plan Mother of Lai Anding mentioned?'

Land Loyd suddenly realized:

'Previously closing Underwater Abyss Port was because they feared my actions would impact players' enthusiasm; Primordial Abyss now can't completely control even their own subordinates.'

Though he had long known that Starry Abyss Narrative was an unstoppable trend, it wasn't until he truly got involved that Land Loyd realized the mobilization capabilities of the Empire were truly unmatched by traditional Starry Abyss Divine Race.

Professional division of labor doesn't affect high-level combat ability, instead it liberates the mental burden of the strong, allowing rulers to hear the demands of the people at all times within the Inherent Time Domain. As long as they obediently comply, they can gain blind love and dedication from the people.

This powerful feedback mechanism doesn't exist within the Starry Abyss Divine Race.

The Starry Abyss Divine Race basically operates under a culture mechanism where class distinction is clear-cut and origin essentially determines everything.

Beneath Primordial Abyss, Chief Gods rank first, followed by heirs like him and Xides.

Then it's the Spiritual Warriors - Cannon Fodder Deity - Slave Labor Deity.

As for the lower tier God Embracers and Acquired God Spirit—they are never considered part of Primordial Abyss.

Yet coming to the Empire, Land Loyd, who never regarded others with importance, began to feel a sense of unease and anxiety.

He had never seen such a strange civilization, it wasn't a "Society", but its operational efficiency and the civic thought closely resembled one another, yet not completely consistent; everyone was unique, but everyone was distinct.

The entire Empire seemed like a massive computing system, despite the different languages, cultures, and species, with diverse habits, the universality is extraordinarily high, the entire civilization far surpassed anything before.

'This time, it seems I really stirred up trouble.'

What Land Loyd truly feared wasn't the Empire's strength, but a self-contained Inherent Time Domain completely cutting off all external support for him.

No players, no friends, and even teleportation couldn't send him away.

What would the Empire do? Exile him? That wouldn't be too bad, but he feared being imprisoned for life which would render his account useless.

Breaking out was impossible; the elite of the Underwater Abyss Bureau are from regular troops, not to mention a nearby Omega Tier strong figure.

Even if the latter just left, Land Loyd wasn't doubtless; if he dared to escape, the opponent could crush him instantly.

The night draws near.

As Land Loyd felt terribly troubled, his hired bodyguards, Shalon and Colytuson, walked in from the outside with heavy expressions.

"How's the situation?"

Land Loyd quickly asked.

Before the two could speak, a shout erupted from outside.

"Foreigners get out of the Empire!"

"Traitors that bite the hand that feeds, can't stay here, get lost. Know your place."

"Cause trouble again, and the Empire will crush your country, your siblings will bleed dry on scorched earth."

Land Loyd's mouth twitched.

"Looks like I don't need to say anything, you probably already know."

Shalon shrugged:

"Got to admit, you've stirred up a big mess, Red Mist Star is a border city brimming with martial virtue, local residents are fierce and combative. The sole reason we aren't being lifted is due to the intervention of the enforcement troops."

"I stirred up trouble?" Land chuckled in anger: "I just said a few words, do they really want war?"

"The Empire is a nation built on missiles, every inch of their land is fought for. Thinking like that is problematic, for the Empire, border claims are unnecessary, whether they like you or not. If useful, they will fight you."

Colytuson lit a cigarette, though didn't smoke, using Qi Energy to guide the smoke to slowly form a diagram in the air:

"Boss, you probably visited the Empire for the first time, aren't familiar with Narrative Civilization, quite normal. But we'll tell in advance—this matter isn't too big or too small, but the Empire can sacrifice you at any time to appease and please its citizens."

"What kind of joke is this… such tyranny, can this even be called a civilization?"

"Sorry, tyranny is exclusive to civilization; Barbarians aren't worthy of tyranny."

Shalon teased.

"Let's not focus on that for now." Colytuson said: "Boss, we've inquired, your luck is good, you're being directly exiled to Border Abyss."

"Oh, that's not too bad." Land Loyd exhaled: "Just Border Abyss, I know what's going on there, lots of trees bigger than planets."

"You're talking about the wild, where we're dispatched is known as Platinum Orchid Confederation. For us, Zeta Rank beings, we'll only be doing the lowest tier slave labor."

Shalon said:

"Luckily, there's a silver lining, the target you were searching for—Glina Swirl is also being exiled together."

"Her? She got mobbed as well?"

"Quite the opposite, she's a popular idol, but the Empire appreciates this aspect, exiling both you and her together highlights the Empire's authority greatly."

"What kind of mentality is this?"

"You said it, tyranny indeed is like this."

"Tremendously impressive."

Land Loyd breathed a sigh of relief, at least he could gather All-Knowledge Cards this time.

Though being trapped below is somewhat troublesome, he previously ventured down there enforcing an understanding of Border Abyss. Even working, he knows a bit more than ordinary people.

The two mercenaries came to negotiate the diving contract, their careers hampered due to him determining the need for compensation, Land Loyd wasn't stingy considering paying directly.

Below, nobody would assist him, taking this opportunity to make connections with two mercenaries, at least he wouldn't worry about the All-Knowledge Cards being snatched.

Knock Knock Knock—

Just as the three were about to sign the contract, the detention room door suddenly echoed with knocks.

"Who?"

The few glancing at each other.

At this timing, who would come by?

Shalon looked up to ask:

"Isn't the visitation time over?"

"I'm a humanitarian activist, here to bail someone."

Outside a calm male voice replied:

"You may call me: Mingji Professor."
