Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 472: It Was Him (3)

The deputy team said, "He is Danielle Winters' ex-boyfriend and possibly the murderer of Danielle Winters."

McGraw Ray shrugged, "Since you've already found the killer, why suspect me?"

"The situation is complicated. Danielle Winters' ex-boyfriend, the man in the photo, was also in the car during the accident. We suspect he might be related to the accident."

McGraw Ray's face changed slightly, his mouth twitched slightly, "Can you be more specific?"

"Sorry, the case is still under investigation, we haven't figured out the truth yet." The deputy team evaded.

"So why did you come to my house?"

The deputy hesitated for a moment. He couldn't just say he was suspecting him. "I wanted to see your daughter's belongings."

"Why? Just to find the murderer of Danielle Winters?" McGraw Ray sounded somewhat displeased.

"Not only that, we also want to clear up the traffic accident from back then."

McGraw Ray hesitated for a moment, then said, "Wait a moment."

McGraw Ray went back to the bedroom, and when he came out, he was holding a wooden box, gently stroking it with his hand, "Some of my daughter's things are in here, you can look, but you can't take them away."

"I understand." The deputy nodded and carefully opened the wooden box.

Inside the box were a university diploma of the deceased Kaya Ray, a photo album, a key, a hairpin, and a gold necklace.

The deputy opened the photo album and looked through the photos, which showed Kaya Ray from childhood to adulthood. As the deputy flipped through them, he felt the latter part of the album seemed a bit thick.

He rubbed it with his hand, then pulled out a photo to find another photo tucked behind it. It was a photo of the deceased Kaya Ray with a man, the man had his arm around Kaya Ray's shoulder, and the two were smiling happily, looking very close, like a couple. "Why was this photo hidden, do you know him?"

McGraw Ray took the photo, rubbed his forehead, "Yes, he was my daughter's ex-boyfriend, but they already broke up."

The deputy pursued, "What is this man's name?"

"I can't remember, I can't recall his name. I think his surname is David." The deputy overlaid the photo with the current boyfriend of Danielle Winters, Ivony David, "Ivony David?"

"That's right, it seems to be him. How do you know him?"

The deputy didn't answer, continuing to ask, "How was his relationship with your daughter?"

"My daughter liked him very much, but my wife and I felt they were not suitable. He has a criminal record, has been to jail, and never attended college; he and my daughter are completely different people.

I don't think they would be happy together."

"I wasn't asking if they would be happy together. I just wanted to know how their relationship was?"

"I don't know either. After we rejected him, my daughter never mentioned him again. I don't know why his photo was in the album."

"After your daughter was hit, did he ever come to your home?"

"No. Is there something wrong with him?"

"Perhaps I have found the real murderer of Danielle Winters!"

McGraw Ray's eyes widened, questioning, "You say he killed Danielle Winters?"

The deputy didn't answer, stood up and said, "I have to go. Once the investigation is clear, I'll come back to have a drink with you."

McGraw Ray's eyes were red, "Then you'd better hurry; I don't have much of my good liquor left."

"Can I take this photo?"

...

Half an hour later, the deputy returned to the detective bureau office.

Marcus teased, "Hey, Deputy, you're late. You might miss out on this month's full attendance bonus."

The deputy flipped a middle finger, "Worry about yourself; I was out investigating."

Marcus shrugged, "Did you find Little William Moses?"

The deputy shook his head, "That guy isn't important at all. I found the real murderer of Danielle Winters. Maybe Little William Moses was done in by him too."

The deputy's words piqued everyone's interest.

Blackie pursued, "Ooh, the real murderer? Who are you talking about?"

Luke also looked at the deputy. Although this old man was tough to deal with, he was quite reliable, and guessed, "There are new clues in that traffic accident case."

The deputy nodded, getting straight to the point, "Where is Ivony David? This might be the real murderer, don't let him escape."

"Ivony David!" Blackie was intrigued, "Deputy, do you have proof?"

The deputy shrugged, "What do you think I was doing?"

Blackie laughed, bragging, "I suspected Ivony David before." He then pointed to Jackson, "Rookie, remember what I said?

Little William Moses and Danielle Winters were originally a couple, parted because Danielle Winters went to jail, they were the ones truly in love.

Ivony David was just a stopgap. Now that Danielle Winters is out of prison, she's rekindled her old flame with Little William Moses.

Driven by jealousy, Ivony David developed hatred from love and killed Danielle Winters.

Deputy, am I right in my analysis?"

"Bullshit!" The deputy rolled his eyes and directly took out the photo of Ivony David and the female deceased of the accident Kaya Ray,

"This is the real reason Ivony David killed. Take a good look at it."

Blackie's eyes widened in shock, "Am I seeing this right? How are they photographed together, and from my experience, their expressions and actions suggest they were in a passionate romance."

Blackie stroked his chin and continued analyzing, "Judging by the time the photo was taken, the accident hadn't occurred yet, and Ivony David was the boyfriend of the accident victim Kaya Ray.

Then the accident happened, Danielle Winters drove the car that killed Kaya Ray.

Ivony David turned into Danielle Winters' boyfriend.

And now Danielle Winters has died too!"

Blackie allowed his imagination to run wild, speculating, "Ivony David is a serial killer who has killed his past girlfriends!"

At this point, even the deputy was taken aback, "Can it be analyzed this way? He wanted to say Marcus was talking nonsense, but it seemed... this speculation also made sense."

Jackson also got led astray, saying, "Deputy, why would Ivony David do this? What was the motive for murder?"

The deputy "..."

This is not what I meant to convey.
