Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 43: Farewell Royena

"There must be a divine name in myth."

"Unless... they are not true demigods."

Gazing at the divine fire in her hand, Charlotte had this thought.

She looked down at the two shivering flames and suddenly said:

"You seem quite afraid of my power. How long have you... 'ascended to godhood'?"

"You seem to be quite familiar with my power as well..."

"Speak up, I hope to hear a satisfactory answer from you."

Charlotte commanded.

"We..."

The two flames were about to respond.

However, at that moment, the two divine fragments within their core suddenly emitted a white glow.

An ancient and vast, evil yet holy aura spread out, and gray-white mist suddenly pervaded the divine fire.

Painful wails emanated from the divine fire, and Charlotte's expression changed abruptly.

The Blood Divine Power blossomed, and the Blood Holy Scripture, vaguely sensed in the depths of her consciousness, also opened.

However, before Charlotte could use the power of the Blood Holy Scripture to deal with the suddenly appearing gray-white mist, the two flames in her hands abruptly extinguished.

The wailing disappeared, and the aura of the two "demigods" vanished as well, replaced by two divine fragments remaining in Charlotte's palm.

Charlotte's expression turned slightly dark.

This wasn't the first time she encountered such a situation.

The last time she encountered a similar situation was during her pursuit of two elf bloodlines from Moon God Island.

Of course, the two elf bloodlines she was chasing were not "demigods," merely "legendary."

But their outcome was the same as with these two "demigods."

That is... silenced by some existence.

Charlotte looked at the divine fragments in her hand and fell into contemplation:

"It's the same aura as the one that surfaced at that time, similar to the aura behind the sealed stone door in the depths of my spiritual world. It's the power of the 'primordial,' also the power of the 'origin.'

"They... are probably like Alek and Campel back then, silenced because they touched the 'taboo.'

"They have no divine name, and their divine fire doesn't seem complete either. Perhaps... like Alek and Campel at that time, they are not true 'demigods,' but rather an existence created to resemble 'demigods'?"

"If that's truly the case, then everything makes sense. It's precisely because they are not true myth that they are so weak, that they lack a divine name, and if that's the case, could it be that the existence behind them is the same as the one behind Moon God Island?"

"They claim to come from the Sun Divine Palace. Could it be... the existence behind them is related to the two main gods of the Elf Clan, the Sun God Helios?"

"The Old Continent Brief History once mentioned that during the war between the Elf Gods and the Mireya Old Gods, in order to seize victory over the Eastern Continent, the Sun God Helios once sought the 'creation' power but failed.

"As a result, the homeland of the Elf Clan, the West Continent, suffered a terrifying apocalyptic catastrophe, ultimately causing them to lose their homeland and forcing them to migrate to Mireya..."

"However, various records never seem to mention the fate of the Sun God Helios..."

"The two 'demigods' just now claimed to come from the Sun Divine Palace, suspected to be pseudo 'demigods' created by the 'primordial' power, closely related to the existence behind the Moon God Island in later generations..."

"The Sun God... Helios, huh."

Charlotte organized her thoughts in her mind, analyzing all the information she knew.

As a demigod, her spiritual power had already transformed, and in some sense, her soul could be considered ascended to a divine soul—though not yet at the level of a true god, its operational speed was far beyond that of a mortal.

Therefore, combining the various information obtained since crossing, and the knowledge gathered from various records, Charlotte analyzed, gradually... outlining an idea in her mind that, although still vague, had already begun to form a silhouette:

The Sun God Helios failed in his pursuit of the creation power.

But evidently, that gray-white mist carried some of the so-called 'primordial' power.

A bold speculation is that perhaps the Sun God Helios did not completely fail; he ultimately obtained part of the "primordial" authority.

And that... is likely the source of the gray-white mist.

The mysterious existence controlling Moon God Island, suspected to have polluted the 'Sea King,' might be the missing Sun God Helios.

Of course, this is merely Charlotte's speculation.

But even if it's a wrong speculation, Charlotte feels it should be very close to the truth.

"Even if it's not the Sun God Helios, it's definitely closely related to him, perhaps... this is also the reason why Lilith went to the Old Continent to investigate, as mentioned in Royena's diary."

Charlotte murmured to herself.

The unexpected information gained this time lifted part of the mysterious veil of the gray-white mist.

However, Charlotte still felt uneasy in her heart.

She felt she might still be neglecting something, but couldn't pinpoint it at the moment. It felt more like a premonition, a spiritual sense.

As a demigod, Charlotte trusted this spiritual sense; she wouldn't have such feelings without reason, and this feeling... even made her feel a sense of urgency.
