Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 104: The Sun Divine Palace's Conspiracy

The Ninth District Judgement Court, deep underground.

Winding corridors crisscross like twisted blood vessels extending into the darkness.

The damp, moldy, and rotten stench mixed with the metallic tang of blood permeates the air, occasionally accompanied by a distant, low moan of unknown origin.

On the stone wall braces, flickering torches cast shadows as they burn with a dim and unstable flame, peeling away a few feet of space from the endless darkness, casting mottled shadows on the ground where bloodstains have turned black.

Occasionally, figures draped in black robes hold torches aloft as they patrol, working in pairs, clad in unified black Divine Robe with a golden sun emblem on their chests. Each one's aura is nothing less than Starry.

If Charlotte were here, she would immediately recognize the emblem on the chests of these patrolling Transcendents; it was clearly the Holy Emblem of the Sun Divine Palace, seen when she crossed through history.

And just as two Sun believers patrolled, suddenly, two agile shadows leapt from the darkness. Before the Sun believers could react, a cold gleam flashed across their necks.

They had no time to call for help and slumped to the ground, soon dragged back into the darkness.

Moments later, two figures in black robes reappeared, their statures significantly taller than before.

"Who would've thought, the Ninth District's Judgement Court would be hiding such a big secret underneath; it's no longer a dungeon, rather, an underground world!"

"We must have entered the secret base of the Sun Divine Palace. If Master Cat isn't mistaken, the ground beneath the Holy Capital has long been hollowed out. These stone walls have stood for a long time; perhaps the Sun Divine Palace has been infiltrating the Church Authority Country for hundreds of years."

These two figures are, of course, Sebastian and Nisi, who infiltrated the Ninth District Judgement Court.

One is at the Peak of Blazing Sun, while the other, though not strong, excels in various strange spells. Infiltrating the Judgement Court was no difficulty.

However, even prepared as they were, they hadn't realized that the dungeon they planned to infiltrate was just the tip of the proverbial iceberg in the underground "world" of the Holy Capital!

"No wonder the master wanted us to quietly investigate this place! The dungeon at the Ninth District Judgement Court is likely just one of the entrances. Judging by these corridor paths, probably most of the Holy Capital's Judgement Courts are connected here..."

"Indeed, the situation is more serious than we imagined. Over the years, the Judgement Court's actions have been extreme, always arbitrarily accusing and arresting Transcendents. It seems the Judgement Court has completely sided with the Sun Divine Palace here in the Church Authority Country."

"With such a big production, they must have a bigger conspiracy! Figuring it out, the master should have already diverted attention, we must seize this time difference and quickly delve into the core area!"

Sebastian and Nisi quickly reached a consensus.

Following the corridors, the two continued deeper, and soon after, they finally reached the end.

The end of the corridor reveals a massive underground ruin.

No, more accurately, it should be an already dilapidated Divine Hall.

The edge of this Divine Hall doesn't match the surrounding corridors, like two worlds, or as if cut down from somewhere else.

But their focus wasn't on the ruins; their eyes were riveted on the countless prison cells sprawling across the space.

These cells rely on the ruins, extending into further darkness, and just by estimation from the dim torchlight, the visible part alone numbers in the thousands, not to mention what extends further into unseen darkness.

Deep growls echo from the darkness, so numerous that counting is impossible, and in the dark, densely packed pairs of frenzied scarlet eyes cause their scalps to tingle.

Sebastian's expression changed:

"This aura... it's the Bloodline! There are thousands, even tens of thousands of bloodlines imprisoned here! We hadn't encountered bloodlines since entering the Yonette Peninsula, only to find them all confined here! Wait? Their condition..."

"They've been Blood Demonized, probably their Bloodline Curse has been triggered!"

Nisi said solemnly.

He then scrutinized the dilapidated Divine Hall, recognizing it after a moment, and suddenly realized:

"Wait! I understand! So... it's here!"

"Oh? What did you discover?"

Sebastian was intrigued.

"The Ancient Hall! This place might be the Ancient Hall discovered in the Church Authority Country! The records of the Holy Royal Court state the first Ancient Hall of the True Ancestor, Your Majesty, was discovered in the Church Authority Country, and it was the largest among all Ancient Halls, even acclaimed as the core of all palaces!"

Nisi stated.

"The earliest discovered Ancient Hall in the Church Authority Country?"

Sebastian was briefly stunned, then continued:

"I recall you once said, weren't all the Ancient Halls found in the Church Authority Country destroyed?"

"Apparently not, the Sun Divine Palace must have intercepted it. The infiltration of the Sun Divine Palace into the Church Authority Country is... probably longer than we, or even that Wisdom Divine Artifact, ever knew!"

Nisi said seriously.

Meanwhile, Sebastian quickly noticed the altar in the center of the dilapidated Divine Hall.

It is a solitary large altar, towering over forty meters, nearly reaching the ceiling of the entire underground space.

Below the altar is a huge blood pool, filled with black-red blood water.

Complex and mysterious arrays and runes stretch densely from the altar and blood pool to all directions, ending at the prison cells of this underground world.

And at the very center of the array, a familiar symbol is drawn—a demon's eye embedded in an inverted triangle.

"Isn't this... the Blood Demon Duke's symbol? Why is the Blood Demon Duke's symbol here? It's a Sacrificial Array... Is it belonging to the Blood Demon Duke?"

Sebastian was slightly taken aback.

Nisi's gaze also fell on the altar.

His expression was solemn, but as he scrutinized the dizzyingly complex array, his expression suddenly turned somewhat strange:

"No... This is not an ordinary sacrificial array... This, this is a directional sacrificial and summoning array!"

"Directional sacrificial and summoning array?"

Sebastian furrowed his brows, his expression somewhat nuanced:

"Wait... Is the Sun Divine Palace actually trying to summon the Blood Demon Duke in person?"

It was hard for him not to look peculiar.

The Blood Demon Duke belongs to the Bloodline, naturally suppressed by the True Ancestor.

If the Sun Divine Palace intends to summon the Blood Demon Duke to confront Your Majesty the True Ancestor, that would be like a generous person delivering a meal.

As for why the Blood Demon Church's altar would appear here, he was no longer surprised after a brief contemplation.

Many of the higher-ups in the Church Authority Country have already been controlled by the Sun Divine Palace, and the Blood Demon Church, which is less organized, might have already been infiltrated thoroughly by the Sun Divine Palace.

Furthermore, even if that crazed Blood Demon Duke personally sided with the Sun Divine Palace, Sebastian wouldn't be surprised.

"Be careful, let's take a closer look, but don't let our identities be suspected."

Nisi whispered.

The two quickly pretended to be patrolling and quietly approached the altar.

There were quite a few Sun believers patrolling around, but the two did not attract much attention.

And when they got closer to the altar and saw it more clearly, their eyes suddenly turned solemn.

They saw a set of armor.

It was an extremely majestic armor, engraved with intricate patterns, exuding an ancient and timeworn aura.

The armor was located at the center of the array, seemingly at the core of the summoning, and on the helmet of the armor, beautiful Elf inscriptions were carved.

"Wait... Isn't this 'Zelora's Rescue'? How did it appear here?"

Sebastian was slightly taken aback.

"Zelora's Rescue? The legendary divine artifact crafted to combat the Bloodline?"

Nisi's heart was moved.

Sebastian nodded, his expression gradually turning solemn:

"Yes, that's it. When I was on Moon God Island, I once read about its description in ancient books. This armor is exactly like the illustration in the books."

Nisi contemplated:

"I also heard of it. It's said to be one of the greatest artificial divine artifacts crafted by the greatest craftsman in Elf Clan history, Zelora, and its only ability is to isolate the power of the Bloodline."

At this point, Nisi looked towards the surrounding sacrificial and summoning array:

"It's rumored that Zelora's Rescue can even isolate the Divine Power of the True Ancestor. Could it be... that the Sun Divine Palace plans to use it to give the summoned Blood Demon Duke the power to confront Your Majesty the True Ancestor?"

"It's very possible! The master's power hasn't fully recovered yet, and if combined with other divine artifacts prepared by the Sun Divine Palace, she might really be in danger!"

Sebastian's expression also turned serious.

"No! We must report to Your Majesty the True Ancestor immediately! We should even pray for a Divine Descent at once!"

"Wait... Pray for a Divine Descent?"

"Yes, you just witnessed, this Ancient Hall is out of place with its surroundings and should have been spatially transferred. Each Ancient Hall has its own different space; in other words, theoretically, an Ancient Hall can change locations. This Ancient Hall indeed shows signs of having been transferred. It's very likely that the Sun Divine Palace moved it here on purpose to conduct the ceremony smoothly. They have the ability to transfer this area, and now Your Majesty the True Ancestor's side might already have alerted them. We must not leave the Sun Divine Palace any opportunity to activate the sacrificial summoning or transfer this area!"

Nisi said.

After speaking, he called out the respectful name of Charlotte in his heart.

However... he felt no response whatsoever.

"Wait, I seem unable to sense the connection with Lord Charlotte."

Nisi said with uncertainty.

"Me too, my Blood Oath seems to be suppressed."

Sebastian's brows furrowed as well.

The two exchanged glances, then simultaneously changed expressions:

"Not good! Retreat immediately!"

They almost simultaneously moved back, but the next moment, they collided with an invisible barrier.

A hoarse chuckle sounded, carrying a bit of amusement:

"Heh heh, it seems... some clever little mice have sneaked in."

The flickering torches dimly illuminated, and in the darkness, a huddled figure slowly emerged.

It was Great Judge Francesco.
