Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 1485: 5 Women Battle Beidou

Afterward, Chu Mo successively retrieved the Merak and Alkaid stars from the Ancient Star Hall and barely managed to send them into the realm of the Celestial Mirror.

Fortunately, Chu Mo had already obtained the Star Mnemonic composed of the Thousand-Character Divine Script, and he possessed absolute control over the world of the Celestial Mirror. Otherwise, there would have been no way for him to place the two stars into that realm. The sheer repelling force alone was terrifying beyond words.

From an energy perspective, these two stars didn't seem any weaker than the Celestial Mirror itself.

The three Star Dragons left, carrying three now-empty Ancient Star Halls, all as part of a ruse to divert the attention of the Beidou Sect.

Meanwhile, Chu Mo entered the world of the Celestial Mirror and began his seclusion and cultivation, dedicating himself entirely to comprehending the Star Mnemonic from the Thousand-Character Divine Script.

Time passed, little by little. In the blink of an eye, three years had gone by.

In these three years, Chu Mo never left the world of the Celestial Mirror. No matter how hard people outside searched, they couldn't find a single trace of his existence.

Even Patriarch Beidou had completely lost his sense of the three stars during these three years.

He was furious, even panicked, but none of it held any meaning.

The Beidou Realm remained shrouded in an atmosphere of tension and dread. Nearly all cultivators outside the Beidou Sect had banded together, struggling to survive with utmost caution.

Within the Beidou Sect, the cultivators' arrogance had grown unchecked, spreading tyranny across the entire Beidou Realm. Some who were of particularly vile character committed heinous acts without restraint.

The entire Beidou Realm was filled with cries of discontent. Waves of rebellion rose one after another, each stronger than the last, but without exception, all were suppressed by the Beidou Sect.

A year and a half ago, the turmoil even provoked an ancient Great Saint, who had remained unseen for ages. The saint's descendants and family, numbering in the millions, were nearly slaughtered to extinction by the Beidou Sect over a trivial matter. The Great Saint erupted in fury, obliterating tens of thousands of the sect's soldiers in an instant.

The Great Saint then stormed into the Heavenly Palace to confront Patriarch Beidou and demand justice.

This conflict forced Patriarch Beidou out of seclusion, leading to an intense battle between the two. Their fight nearly destroyed half of the Beidou Sect's Heavenly Palace. In the end, the Great Saint was overpowered and ultimately perished above the Heavenly Palace. This death caused a collapse in the surrounding space, unleashing chaotic temporal and spatial turbulence. Although the Great Saint was impervious to such chaos, even Saints couldn't withstand the impact. Faced with the imminent destruction of the Beidou Sect, all cultivators within the Heavenly Palace were forced to evacuate and seek refuge elsewhere.

This battle shook the entire Beidou Realm. The news of the Great Saint's fall ignited fury among all factions outside the Beidou Sect. Ultimately, they stopped hiding and launched a campaign of sieges and retaliation against the sect.

In just a few months, the Beidou Sect suffered devastating losses, plunging the entire Beidou Realm into chaos.

War broke out everywhere, and flames of conflict spread far and wide. The previously rampant disciples of the Beidou Sect finally encountered their fiercest resistance. These opponents fought with their very lives, pushing the sect into a swift decline.

No matter how powerful a sect might be, it's impossible to contend against the entire world on its own!

Although Patriarch Beidou remained uninjured, he was thoroughly enraged by the situation. Casting aside all restraint, he personally stepped in, ruthlessly suppressing over a dozen major factions within the Beidou Realm and exterminating seven to eight peak-stage Saint-level cultivators. This finally restored a semblance of order to the chaos in the realm.

By then, however, the Beidou Sect was already battered and torn, nearly beyond recognition.

Even Patriarch Beidou couldn't kill everyone opposing them. The unrelenting slaughter had pushed all factions into a frenzied state. While the surface chaos was momentarily suppressed, bringing an end to the conflict wasn't something that could be achieved in a short time.

Frustrated, Patriarch Beidou waved his sleeve dismissively, ignoring the broader conflicts. He could no longer wait. He ventured out personally, scouring everywhere in pursuit of the three Ancient Star Halls.

Soon, he located all three Ancient Star Halls with his own hands, killing the three Star Dragons that guarded them—Dragon One, Dragon Two, and Dragon Seven. Yet, upon discovering the now-empty ancient halls, his fury exploded to an unprecedented level.

Because he had sealed the entire Beidou Realm, Patriarch Beidou didn't believe anyone capable of escaping with the three stars. As a result, he ordered an exhaustive investigation of every cultivator from other realms. No exception would be tolerated—all were to be interrogated thoroughly!

Finally, during Chu Mo's third year of seclusion—recently—a group of cultivators from an outside realm was discovered by the Beidou Sect. In the ensuing skirmish, these cultivators were wounded and managed to escape.

The information was swiftly reported to Patriarch Beidou. After a series of divinations, he abruptly issued an order: no matter the cost, those individuals must be captured!

...…

Southern Border of the Beidou Realm.

Five young and stunningly beautiful women stood gathered, facing an encirclement of dozens of Beidou Sect cultivators. The five stood back-to-back, their eyes filled with fury but devoid of panic.

"Qi Peng, your Beidou Sect is crossing the line! We've never provoked you; why do you keep pushing us so relentlessly?" Hongyue's luminous eyes flashed with icy anger.

Qi Xiaoyu gripped an ancient sword in her hand, while Yiyi wielded a long crimson spear. Purple Smoke held a longsword, and Chu Qing carried a jade flute. In their eyes, there was no hint of fear—only unyielding coldness. An overwhelming aura emanated from each of them.

Among them, Hongyue and Qi Xiaoyu had already reached the Holy Realm, while Yiyi, Purple Smoke, and Chu Qing were at the peak of the Quasi-Saint level. Over the years, they had harvested significant gains in the Beidou Realm.

If not for the increasingly dire circumstances in recent years, Yiyi, Purple Smoke, and Chu Qing would likely have stepped into the Holy Realm by now.

The five women had harbored no goodwill toward the Beidou Sect to begin with, but they had taken care to avoid provoking its members. Yet even so, the sect ultimately came seeking trouble.

In a grueling battle, the five women had slain numerous Beidou Sect cultivators before escaping. However, they were now pursued by an even more formidable group of sect cultivators.

Qi Peng raised an eyebrow. Over these years, his cultivation had advanced significantly, reaching the peak of the Quasi-Saint level. He only needed to take one more step to ascend into the next realm.

Looking at the five breathtakingly beautiful women, waves of emotion stirred in Qi Peng's heart. These five women were stunning beyond compare—any one of them was an unrivaled beauty. Together, they appeared like five radiant moons, dazzling to behold.

"Apologies, we bear no ill intentions. We simply wish to invite you five ladies to visit the Beidou Sect," Qi Peng said calmly.

"Invite us? We're not interested," Hongyue replied coldly.

A middle-aged man beside Qi Peng unleashed an unabashedly oppressive aura of a Saint at its peak level. He sneered at Hongyue, saying, "Don't refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit."

Another Saint-level cultivator in the sect said darkly, "What's the point of all this talk? Just subdue them quickly and present them to the Patriarch."

Qi Peng sighed, gazing earnestly at Hongyue and the others. "Our Patriarch has ordered you be taken alive. If you don't want to suffer serious injuries, I suggest you cooperate and come with us. Otherwise, there's no way you'll escape."

The Beidou Sect had at least twenty Saint-level cultivators on scene, none of whom were newly ascended Saints. Each had spent years solidifying their strength. They didn't see the five women as any real threat.

Though they were puzzled as to why the Patriarch had issued such specific orders upon hearing news of the women, they dared not defy his commands.

Hongyue exchanged a glance with the others. Over the years, the five had developed an unspoken connection. A single look was enough to understand each other's intentions.

BOOM!

BANG!

At that moment, Hongyue and Qi Xiaoyu struck simultaneously.

Their attacks targeted Qi Peng's position—a spot where the Beidou Sect's forces were at their strongest and most concentrated, with seven or eight Saint-level cultivators present.

No one expected such audacity. These two women launched their assault with brutal decisiveness.

The sky erupted in a deafening explosion, a blinding flash of light bursting forth.

In the same instant that Hongyue and Qi Xiaoyu attacked, Chu Qing, Yiyi, and Purple Smoke moved without hesitation, exploiting an opening to flee without a hint of reluctance. Their departure was clean and swift!

The Beidou Sect cultivators erupted in fury. If such a large group failed to prevent these five from escaping, they might as well cease to exist in this world.

Six or seven Saint-level cultivators immediately broke away to pursue the fleeing trio.

Hongyue and Qi Xiaoyu, meanwhile, were surrounded once more by more than a dozen Saint-level cultivators.

Qi Peng wiped blood from the corner of his mouth, his eyes glinting with a deadly chill. Gritting his teeth, he spat, "Bitches… How dare you ambush us? You'll be begging for mercy soon enough!"

Two other Saint-level cultivators nursed minor injuries as well. None of them had anticipated the ferocity of these two. Even when outnumbered, their attacks carried a terrifying force.

"Take action! Don't kill them, just disable them—broken limbs are fine!" a Saint-level elder from the Beidou Sect roared in fury.

Qi Xiaoyu and Hongyue's exquisitely beautiful faces remained utterly expressionless. Their coordination was impeccable. Qi Xiaoyu's Moyu Sword unleashed radiant arcs of sword energy. Even Saints dared not intercept these arcs and could only dodge repeatedly.

Hongyue's path bore a striking resemblance to that of the Drifting Empress, with whom she had shared a deep connection in the past. She had learned much from the Empress.

In combat, Hongyue exuded an aura reminiscent of the Drifting Empress—unyielding and commanding. Each move was bold and forceful, her Dao profound, on par with the seasoned Saints of the Beidou Sect.

Unfortunately, the pair was ultimately too outnumbered and overmatched.

Facing more than a dozen cultivators of superior realms, they began to feel the weight of their disadvantage.
