Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 178: Chicken Master

Pfft!

Chu Mo couldn't help but laugh, looking at the 'Vermilion Bird' rooster in front of him filled with majesty. He lifted his Heaven Slaying, "Would you like another slash? I think... you're so big, I could make a lot of boiled chicken out of you."

"Impudent!" The 'Vermilion Bird' rooster was immediately enraged, "Like an ant, do you, a human, really want to be the enemy of this lord?"

"I'm very curious." Chu Mo looked at this 'Vermilion Bird' rooster, "Where do you get the confidence to impersonate the Vermilion Bird, a divine beast? Aren't you afraid of being struck by lightning?"

Boom!

The 'Vermilion Bird' rooster stepped back with both claws, a look of shock flashing in his eyes, staring intently at Chu Mo, "Mortal... what are you talking about?"

"Isn't it clear? Big Rooster!" Chu Mo looked flippantly at the rooster, still in the form of the Vermilion Bird, "Really, I really like eating grilled chicken wings."

"Impossible, absolutely impossible!" Panic was written all over the rooster's eyes, looking at Chu Mo, "You can't possibly see my real body, tell me, how did you find out?"

"So, can we now sit down and have a calm conversation?" Chu Mo glanced at the Heaven Slaying in his hand, both intentionally and unintentionally.

The rooster stepped back another two steps, saying, "What is there to talk about with you, a mortal?"

At this point, the rooster looked left and right, but still couldn't see those fish just now, and instantly became angry again, "I've chased those fish for more than a decade and you snatched them all away. Dude, you're a bit too greedy, aren't you? The saying goes, share half of what you find upon meeting..."

"..." Chu Mo looked at the rooster with a dumbfounded expression, still in the form of the Vermilion Bird. But his words and actions... he's blatantly a human-worldly punk, compared to his previous majestic appearance, the difference is like heaven and earth.

"What? Do you think that by seeing through my true body, you're qualified to extort me?" The rooster looked at Chu Mo, a cold smile in his eyes, "You're too naive, I'm not bragging, but this shitty place, this damn Four Symbols Continent. If the rooster claims to be the second fastest, no one dares to claim to be the first!"

"In the end, you can only run away quickly, isn't it?" Chu Mo looked at the big rooster with no expression.

The rooster showed a look of shame, "Dude, what nonsense are you saying? Take back your words now! Do you think this rooster is timid?"

Chu Mo channels the primordial forces into Heaven Slaying.

Buzz!

Heaven Slaying hummed, the invisible terror of murderous intention suddenly exploded a bit.

Zoom!

The rooster turned into a trail of firelight, and with incredible speed, rushed straight into the hole, disappearing again.

After a while, a head popped out of the hole, staring angrily at Chu Mo, "Dude, if you want to talk calmly, put away that thing of yours!"

Chu Mo smiled and put away the Heaven Slaying into the jade space.

The rooster then let out a sigh of relief, crawled out of the hole, spread its wings, and fluttered in a flash transforming into a shiny, majestic rooster with a very gallant appearance!

He was almost as big as the Vermilion Bird from before.

Looking very impressive, Chu Mo stared in awe, muttering to himself, "It really is a big rooster, isn't it?"

"Dude, stop annoying me! The bloodline flowing through my body is much more noble than the Vermilion Bird's! I have Phoenix blood! Understand? Have you heard of the Phoenix?" The rooster lifted a wing, pointing at Chu Mo, a face of anger.

"So why would you disguise yourself as a Vermilion Bird?" Chu Mo asked speechlessly.

"Isn't it all because you mundane humans forced me into it? You bunch of short-sighted fools only heard about the Vermilion Bird, so what can this rooster do?" The rooster replied, somewhat dejected.

"It appears, you are not a native rooster of the Four Symbols Continent?" Chu Mo asked.

"Nonsense! How could the great I be raised in such a pitiful place?" The rooster strutted about, a little agitated, haughtily replying, "It's all because of your crappy blade! Otherwise, how could I, the magnificent heaven...cough cough... the most handsome rooster both now and throughout history, end up in such a desolate place?"

"…" Chu Mo looked at the rooster with a dumbfounded expression: "Are you a ninth order Primordial Beast?"

The legend goes that the top tier, ninth order Primordial Beasts of the Four Symbols Continent all possess extraordinary intelligence. Because they possess the bloodline of divine beasts, they can all speak the human language. Although Chu Mo has never seen a ninth order Primordial Beast, he's heard his grandfather mention that this legend is the truth.

The number of documented ninth order Primordial Beasts on the Four Symbols Continent isn't too many, about a dozen or so. But whether there are undiscovered ninth order Primordial Beasts, Chu Mo doesn't know.

After all, the Four Symbols Continent is vast!

The unknown territories that humans cannot explore are numerous.

"What's a ninth order Primordial Beast? In front of me, they would all bow down obediently!" The rooster responded with self-important derision: "I come from... I come from... why the hell should I tell you?"

Chu Mo looked at the rooster and asked: "I won't ask about your origins, but could you tell me about the origins of my blade? In return, I can give you a fish!"

"That fish was originally meant to be my snack! It's a snack, get it, kid? These were all mine!" The rooster glared at Chu Mo, "Now, this little bastard has stolen what was rightfully mine! You're acting like you're doing me a favor!"

"So, you don't want it?" Chu Mo looked at the rooster.

"I want!" The rooster responded without hesitation. Its lack of decorum made Chu Mo question the wisdom of his conversation with this creature.

"Then tell me, about the history of my blade." Chu Mo said.

"Can't say." Fear flickered in the rooster's eyes: "Not to make things difficult for you, but kid, if you're smart, you should throw that blade away!"

"Throw away?"

"Yes, throw it away!" The rooster was deadly serious: "That blade of yours, it portends ill fortune."

"Why?"

"Can't say." The rooster looked at Chu Mo: "I'm seriously warning you, that blade will bring disaster upon you in the future!"

"That is a problem for the future." Chu Mo replied nonchalantly.

"Suit yourself then." The rooster looked at Chu Mo reluctantly, mulled over it, then said, "I can tell you a little bit..."

"Speak." Chu Mo stared at it.

"But you have to promise me..."

"Fish, I know." Chu Mo replied.

"Those fishes, they're probably dead by now. Kid, you can't store living things in a storage ring. That's quite dumb of you. Dragon fish don't taste good once they're dead, they're only good for relieving hunger." The rooster's eyes showed traces of disappointment.

"They're all alive." Chu Mo said calmly.

"Alive?" The rooster's head gave a jolt, and he looked at Chu Mo incredulously with one eye: "You're saying those fishes are still alive? You you you... you ordinary human, how can you command such a high-level storage space?"

While speaking, the rooster seemed to have recalled something. It smacked its own head with a wing and said in realization: "No wonder... I couldn't sense even a shred of Heaven Slaying intent from you. So... that thing is also on you. So then... the Chaos Furnace... is also within you?" (To be continued.
