Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 904: The Disappearance of the Azure Firmament Divine Mirror

When Chu Mo awoke, he found himself still lying within the underground palace, but in his mind, it was clear that a piece of memory was missing.

"How did I faint all of a sudden?" Chu Mo frowned, rubbing his head, and muttered, "It seems… the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror detected a treasure here, then I activated the Ground Entering Blood Moon and went straight into the depths of the palace, and then… what happened?"

A look of surprise covered Chu Mo's face, as he could not remember what had happened after he entered the underground palace.

Then, Chu Mo tried to communicate with the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror, but he was immediately shocked to find... he could no longer communicate with it!

This greatly alarmed Chu Mo, who quickly lowered his head to look at his chest.

There, the imprint of the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror was still present!

But it was fundamentally different from the appearance of the jade in the past.

Now imprinted on his chest… was something resembling a tattoo, the size of a palm, like a mirror. It was engraved with numerous complex Dao patterns, difficult to see clearly because of the angle, but looking at it more would still give one a dizzying sensation.

On the outer ring of the mirror, there were ten small holes, four of which were embedded with beads that looked like red gemstones. Although they were like tattoos, these four red gem-like beads felt vividly alive!

"Hm? Could it be… what the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror found here, is the fourth Blood Moon?" Chu Mo's brows were tightly knit as he felt a tremendous surprise. He instinctively sensed that many things had happened after he entered the underground palace. But why couldn't he remember anything?

"My memory… has been tampered with!" Chu Mo looked at the newly added fourth Blood Moon and finally confirmed this matter. Then he said solemnly, "Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror, was it your doing?"

The Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror was silent, not giving the slightest response.

Chu Mo's mouth twitched, and then he infused his divine sense into the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror. Instantly, the world inside it appeared in Chu Mo's sea of consciousness.

A vast Netherworld Lake, like a shining pearl, was embedded inside the world of the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror.

The lake where the Fishes of Creation resided was on the other side, a large group of them had grown quite big, quietly lying at the bottom of the lake.

The Perfect Clone stood by the lake, appearing to gaze into the distance. In fact, it was now just a body without thought, Chu Mo's second primordial spirit was not strong enough; although it could leave the body and travel Beyond Heaven, it had restrictions on time and distance.

Only when the second primordial spirit was strong enough could it completely leave the main body and enter the clone.

To truly let the clone enter the realm of illusion gods for cultivation, Chu Mo would probably have to wait until he reached the Ascension stage for the second primordial spirit to achieve that kind of strength.

This was not quite what Chu Mo initially thought, but it was normal. After all, at that time, Chu Mo had not yet reached his current realm. Some things can only be seen clearer after reaching a certain realm.

The Elemental Holy Fruit Tree stood alone, but its branches were once again budding with many buds. It should not be too many years before it could flower and bear fruit again.

The Chaos Furnace was placed beneath the Elemental Holy Fruit Tree, with the Samadhi Real Fire faintly burning below it.

Heaven Slaying was quietly suspended in mid-air, silent and motionless, with occasional flashes of flowing light.

A few books were all placed on the nearby bookshelf.

Besides these, there were also a few top-grade Heavenly Crystals, which were the rewards Chu Mo later obtained from Lingdan Hall.

The previous ones had been completely used up in the sea of magma back then.

Phew!

Chu Mo exhaled deeply. Although he was unclear about what had happened after he entered the underground palace, it was evident… a lot had happened here.

Now even the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror had gone completely silent, it was highly possible that it had played a trick on him while he was unconscious.

But as long as the Heaven Slaying Divine Mirror did not speak, Chu Mo naturally could not confirm this.

As for this extra Blood Moon, what kind of Blood Moon was it?

Chu Mo tried to activate the Blood Moon, and then… a chaotic aura spread directly from the Blood Moon, circled around Chu Mo's body, and disappeared into him.

Chu Mo then astonishingly discovered that his physique and bloodline... seemed to have a veiled sensation!

It wasn't a seal, but rather a kind of concealment that hid things away!

"This aura... could it be the Chaos Blood Moon?" Chu Mo's face showed a shocked expression, and then he muttered, "It can actually mask my physique and bloodline. In that case, in the future, there shouldn't be so many powerful non-human beings chasing after me to devour me, right?"

For Chu Mo, this was undeniably good news.

But for some reason, the Heavenly Mirror remained silent and didn't respond to any attempts at communication. This left Chu Mo puzzled and somewhat frustrated.

He had indeed become somewhat accustomed to relying on the magical artifacts he possessed.

Without the Heavenly Mirror, he wouldn't possibly manage his enemies so easily during confrontations, nor would he likely obtain so many treasures; without the Chaos Furnace, he wouldn't likely have any connection with Lingdan Hall. Because when it came to alchemy, his skills were streets behind Shen Xingxue.

But sometimes, that's just how unfair the world can be.

For example, some people are born with wealth that others couldn't earn in several lifetimes; like in the Cultivation Realm, some are nourished with top-tier materials while still in their mother's womb, and when they are born, they are already a Heavenly Genius!

Or like those born into great clans of the Heavenly Realm, by their late teens or early twenties, they usually reach the Mahayana or Ascension phase, and some even more talented ones become great angels or even achieve higher accomplishments!

Meanwhile, in the Immortal Realm, youths of this age can almost never grow to these levels.

As for the Spirit Realm... it's even weaker!

Youths from great clans entering the Golden Elixir Dao in their twenties are already rare and outstanding talents.

As for the Mortal Realm, there's no need to mention it. Being a ninth-level innate martial artist by the age of twenty... that itself is a miracle!

So, to say there is fairness in this world is just a beautiful wish.

Such matters, no matter when or where, can easily be heard in abundance.

The idea of equality among all beings is nothing more than a beautiful wish.

Should sheep naturally be eaten by wolves? There's no fairness in that. Sheep cannot speak; they just strive to live.

The world is wonderful in this aspect, everyone has their own brilliance. Blindly seeking fairness only wastes time and the years. Only in old age does one realize the regret: not striving in youth leads to sorrow in old age.

But effort... that's the same for everyone!

No matter where you are or what position you're in, making an effort is never wrong.

So, the sudden incommunicability of the Heavenly Mirror meant that from now on Chu Mo might never be able to use it to discern the realms of others, which admittedly made him somewhat frustrated.

But he was far from despair!

In fact, as Chu Mo's realm continued to improve, he had already started using the Heavenly Mirror less frequently.

External forces, having them is naturally best, Chu Mo wouldn't deliberately reject or avoid them. But if he didn't have them, he wouldn't be discouraged or even despair. Having overcome countless thorns and obstacles to get to where he was today, Chu Mo already possessed the mindset of a truly strong individual.

"Even with just one man and one sword, what of it?"

A gleam flashed in Chu Mo's eyes and then his figure flickered, reversing the Five-Colored Dao Platform in his elixir field, activating the Earth power of the Five Elements, and a Entering Earth divine ability appeared outside.

The corner of his mouth revealed a slight smile: you see, even now I can still use the Ground Entering Blood Moon, and though using the Ground Entering Blood Moon consumes less, not using it... isn't it the same!

------

Last night, I went to pick someone up at the airport and got caught in a bit of rain, started coughing this morning and quickly took a handful of medicine. No matter, let it be, a cold lasts a week anyway... Let it wreak havoc.
