Leo was about to hit the ground, his body smashed into pieces when Caelindra appeared and caught his body before landing down. The moment she snatched him mid-fall, her armour erupted like a violent burst of gold and green, swirling from the force of her descent.
BOOMMMM!!!
The force of her landing shattered the scorched ground into pieces, wide cracks spidering outward as if the earth itself feared her force. Caelindra's boots carved deep impressions into the stone as she steadied both herself and Leo, holding him with a grip firm enough to reassure yet gentle enough to comfort.
She looked at Leo, who was staring at her with wide eyes as if he couldn't believe it was truly her. His chest heaved, his breath stuck between shock and relief, the world spinning around him while her face remained painfully real.
"Caelindra..." he muttered as he touched her cheeks. His fingers trembled, brushing against her warm skin like someone reaching for the last miracle left in existence.
Caelindra smiled, "It's been a while, Leo," she muttered with a gentle tone and a gentle smile... Leo's heart almost trembled seeing that, as he finally got relieved to know she was finally with him.
Thud!
They looked up.
Dracula landed on the ground with disbelief and a frown as he stared at Caelindra with an utterly shocked expression, "H-How?" His boots sank into the dirt, cracks forming under his heel, yet his voice shook in a way Leo had never heard from him.
That's all he could ask?
After all, what just happened was impossible. Caelindra's existence here defied every law he believed he understood.
Leo slowly landed on the ground from Caelindra's arms as he stretched his body before pulling the sword from the ground.
"How, you ask?
Because it's me, Bloodbegger~ Unlike you, who crawl in fear when someone above you appears... You are nothing but a leech... literally a fucking leech!" As he yanked his sword, the blood from it splashed down.
Dracula's face turned furious, "How dare you mock me—"
Chucck!
Before he could finish his words, Caelindra's sword stuck in his throat as he looked down and saw her glaring at him.
"You speak too much," she said before slicing off his neck like nothing. Her movement was so fast that even the air couldn't scream.
Chucck!
Dracula's head rolled once… twice… before the body twitched. Blood sprayed in violent bursts, splattering across the shattered earth, soaking into the cracks that webbed beneath his boots.
"He's not done…"
Leo murmured.
The severed head twisted, bone grinding against bone, tendrils knitting a new spine as the head floated upward. Dark mist coiled around it like serpents, weaving flesh from shadow. The reconstructed neck snapped into place with a sickening crack.
Dracula hissed, "You think this trivial wound—"
Leo didn't let him finish.
He vanished.
A shockwave exploded from where he stood. Chunks of stone were blown away, and Dracula's cape whipped violently in the backlash.
Leo reappeared behind Dracula with a brutal downward slash. The blade tore into Dracula's back, splitting the spine like wet bark. Blood sprayed out in a crooked arc, misting through the air as Dracula roared in agony.
Caelindra was already moving.
She pivoted with a dancer's grace, dragging her heel through the dirt to create a crescent blaze of green flame. The arc she carved shimmered like molten moonlight, the heat rising from it warping the very air. She flicked her wrist. That flame became a crescent slash that bit into Dracula's ribs and hurled him sideways.
THUUUUD!!!!
Dracula crashed down. His body tore a long trench through the ground, scattering debris and shattered bone fragments lingering from their earlier clash. Smoke rose from the impact as his body skidded to a halt, twitching from the sizzling mark Caelindra left on his side.
Leo didn't stop, panting heavily as he moved again, inhaling the mana. The air around him spiralled inward, streams of raw energy funnelling into his lungs.
He slammed his weapon down. Caelindra followed, her blade crossing Leo's in mid-air.
Both strikes hit Dracula at the same moment.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The ground caved in like a crater. A shockwave tore outward, ripping what remained of the scorched battlefield. Entire slabs of earth uprooted themselves and flipped over. The crater expanded for several meters, swallowing everything within its radius.
Dracula coughed blood that turned into smoke the moment it touched the ground. His body tried to regenerate... but something weakened him. His flesh knit slower, his aura flickering like a dying torch.
Caelindra's platinum blade glowed furiously, ancient runes vibrating along the metal.
Dracula roared and charged. His hand turned into a giant claw made of shadows. The darkness stretched unnaturally, forming jagged talons.
Caelindra blocked the strike with one arm—her blade spun in the other. She dragged Dracula's arm sideways, shifting his balance.
Leo used that exact opening.
He ducked low, sliding on the rubble, then slammed the flat of his blade upward into Dracula's jaw.
The force lifted the vampire king off his feet.
Caelindra followed with ruthless motions:
One slash across the thigh.
Another across the ribs.
A thrust into his stomach.
Then a spinning kick that sent him crashing back into Leo's range.
Leo grabbed Dracula by the hair mid-air. His grip tightened with vicious intent, fingers digging into the vampire's scalp.
And looked at Dracula with a wicked smile, "Hehea... look at you so broken~" as he said, he head-butted him and,
CRACK!
"Arrhh!!"
Leo slammed him into the ground. Dust erupted from the impact like a volcanic explosion.
Dracula groaned furiously before spreading his wings as three magic circles appeared around him, circling furiously.
The symbols burned with frantic red light, spinning fast enough to distort the air. His blood slowly moved from his body, drawing blood that slowly morphed into weapons... blades, spears, axes, and writhing constructs of sharpened bone forming around him like a living armoury preparing for war.
Leo stepped back as he glanced at Caelindra, who nodded as she closed her eyes, putting her sword into her scabbard. Her breathing steadied, her aura settling like a calm storm preparing to unleash its fury.
Sshhh~
Leo's body healed up. A warm surge swept through his veins, stitching muscle and bone back together. He blinked in surprise but realised that since they were connected, she might have healed him using it just like how she had done the first time.
Leo coughed slightly, his chest was already burning up, even though it was healed, it needed deep rest, but he didn't have a choice... one last time! He clenched his teeth before inhaling the mana. The air around him rippled, drawn toward him with violent suction. Through their connection, Caelindra felt it... that overwhelming power coursing through her body furiously. It surged through their bond like a river in flood, shaking her core.
Dracula was also leaking with crimson sparks all over his body as he clenched his hand; his eyes glowed dangerously. "You both fucking die!" he shouted and whispered coldly,
^Trium Sanguinis Arma^
Those bloody weapons swirled towards them furiously, spears splattered the air, spears penetrating the air, whips shaking the air, swords cutting the air, needles swirling like a storm. Every single thing was shot towards them, ready to destroy everything. The sky turned red from the sheer quantity of conjured weapons.
Just then—
Caelindra's eyes shot open with emerald green glowing, her pupils narrowing into fierce slits. Her hands gripped her sword hilt slowly from the scabbard as the light flashed from the sword so furiously that it almost blinded everything. The ground growled, shaking as the pebbles rose up and started to shatter into pieces...
With a single fluid motion, she drew her weapon and stabbed into the ground before her. A huge magic circle flared under her foot, spreading… cracking the ground before it rippled outward like a living heartbeat.
Her platinum hair flowed in the air as she muttered coldly,
^Golauavalon^
CRACK—
A web of glowing green lines fractured out from under Caelindra's sword, racing over the ground like the veins of the world. The entire battlefield trembled as though the land itself feared what she was summoning.
Then—
WHOOM!
A colossal burst of blinding green light erupted from the earth. Hundreds of platinum swords exploded from below, their blades radiating a soft, divine light that hummed like a choir of spirits.
The earth heaved and split, as a massive structure began to rise, opening a jagged wound in the ground. Soil, stone, and broken debris were flung into the sky like meteors.
The towering cathedral of blades pushed upward. Leo's eyes widened when he saw a humongous castle that was made up of nothing but swords, so awe and magical. Every blade interlocked, forming towering walls and spires that glimmered with ancient enchantments.
The towering sword-castle rose behind Caelindra. Its shadow swallowed the battlefield.
They launched forward. Caelindra's figure blurred, Leo's mana surged, and Dracula's weapons screamed through the air like a storm of death.
The moment they hit—
BOOOOOOOOM!!!
The light of the collision swallowed the sky. A shockwave rose like a tidal wave, engulfing everything in the distance, turning clouds into spirals of glowing ash. For a moment, there was no battlefield, no sky, not even sound... just the blinding brilliance of power clashing beyond mortal understanding.
