The black-clad cultivator's eyes flicked to Grey and then to the unconscious girl in his arms. For a brief, fleeting moment, a shadow of something—perhaps irritation, perhaps amusement—flashed across his face. But it was gone in an instant.

With a derisive snort, the cultivator dismissed Grey's threat as if it were of no consequence. His gaze flickered back to the captain, and without further hesitation, he moved again.

His body blurred into motion, and in the blink of an eye, he was standing before the captain, his fist swinging through the air with lethal precision.

"Bang!"

The impact was deafening. The captain, caught completely off guard, spat out a mouthful of blood as she was sent hurtling backwards. Her nascent ball of spirit fire exploded into a burst of sparks, the flames flickering and vanishing as if they had never been.

Grey's eyes widened, but he did not hesitate to clutch his fist tightly into a ball and punch the unconscious young girl.

But just as happy fist was about to connect to her abdomen, a black fog suddenly came out for her body and stopped the punch.

Internally, the black clothed cultivator scoffed when he saw Grey's punch fail to connect.

But when the captain suddenly appeared and joined in her punching, he couldn't take it anymore.

If the captain punched with all her strength, even if she only had a Pseudo ball of spirit fire, her strength would be more than enough to kill the young girl immediately.

'I must not let that happen! These two are a bunch of mad people!' the black clothed cultivator roarer inwardly and rushed to Grey and the captain.

"Nice thinking little Grey, how did you know to hit the young girl following him?" Grey looked at her with a blank expression, he didn't answer.

"I recognize who that black clothed cultivator is now, he's Amon from Sequence one! I heard he's the number one genius of the first sequence. That girl following him should be the daughter of their elder. I heard she's infatuated with him. Seems like the rumors aren't wrong." The captain said. But Grey remained silent as well.

He remembered what has happened when he first arrived at her ship.

Her eyes were first filled with malignance, but it soon cleared and turned to one of bafflement. She then blushed.

All these happened in the same second. She then said. "Wow, you have such a pretty face and eyes. Can I stay with you?" Grey was first stunned, but as he moved to grab her, she dodged effortlessly.

She then laughed in a cute voice. "You can't touch me. I'm in the Ninth level and you're in the Eighth level. Even if you're something special, I'm more special than you!" Just as Grey's brows creased, she suddenly said again.

"I know why you're here! You want to use me as leverage for Amon right. Well, I can help you. As long as you promise to tell me your name and where you are from!" The young girl said Sweetly that Grey almost shivered.

Just as he was about to run, the girl threatened. "If you leave, I will shout and big brother Amon will definitely teleport here and kill you."

Knowing that it was true, Grey said. "Grey. Sequence three Co-captain of the- transport department." Grey said quickly.

The young girl's eyes seemed to sparkle. She then said. "Okay, you can your way now. Wait, I forgot to tell you my na-" Grey didn't allow her to finish before he punched her straight in the gut.

But despite how hard he punched, his fist hurt as if he had just raw steel and he was a normal person.

'This... Won't do at all.' He then made a decision and slapped her back head with enough force to kill another Qi Accumulation cultivator. But she didn't immediately fall unconscious, she first smiled, then winked, before she played along.

Then the scene where Grey slapped the back of her head and she fell unconscious happened.

"I also heard that she's crazy and tends to cause a lot of trouble for the elder. So he tends to attach her to Amon who often goes out to sea. Her cultivation is quite high and her constitution is something else. I'm honestly surprised that you were able to break though the black fog protecting her." The captain said with a tinge of surprise in her voice.

Grey nearly froze. Because he himself knew that it would have been impossible for him to break through her protective fog if she hadn't released it at the last moment.

He then glanced away while the captain was facing the sea. His shadow then slipped from beneath the ship and attached itself to his feet. He then let out a sigh of relief.

Because the black clothed cultivator had released his Special Brilliance form before his shadow could attack, it ended up being repelled back by the bright flames.

Another one of his trump cards was made useless without the other party even knowing.

'Sigh. We need to get stronger.' Grey said to his shadow.
