.
That day was frenetic for many, but for some, it was far more chaotic than usual.
For a few in particular, and one of them, perhaps the most frantic at that moment, were those in the Liang family manor.
That immense pressure had appeared out of nowhere, falling on the manor and throwing everyone into panic for a few seconds.
From the ordinary members who had fainted from sheer terror, to the elders who dropped everything they were doing, and, feeling as if a knife were at their throats, hurried out into the hall, gathering together and trying to figure out what had happened.
Inevitably, this led them to locate the main source from where that terrible pressure seemed to have originated, and when they finally realized from where it came, they were even more confused and stunned.
"You're saying it came from the east wing? Isn't that where the young lady resides?" asked one of them, unsure of what he had just heard.
"Yes, I'm almost certain it started from there. Iwas nearby when it happened, and I managed to pinpoint the location," replied an elder, the one who had reported the position from where that tremendous pressure seemed to have emerged.
This immediately made many of them frown, and one individual in particular stepped forward, halting the discussion that was about to erupt.
"Let's not waste time. Whether it started there or not, we'll find out by going there ourselves," said a tall, middle aged man.
Though a few wrinkles had appeared on his face, a sign of his many years of life, he had largely retained his youthful appearance.
He was Liang Wei, heir to the head of the family and the father of Liang Yuexin.
Hearing him, the other elders calmed and nodded, proceeding to go check, and it didn't take long before they reached the place.
Upon arrival, they noticed that the doors to the room were open.
Normally, it wouldn't be strange, but given the situation, everyone paid extra attention as they entered, unsure of what awaited inside.
They all knew of Liang Yuexin's condition at this point, yet what they saw was not her, but something else entirely.
"Young master Zhan… what… happened here?" asked one of the first to enter.
Indeed, inside the room, what they found was none other than Liang Zhan, who wore a confused expression, just like theirs.
Unlike them, he had been there when it happened, and being so close, the effect of the pressure overwhelmed him so much that, for quite a while even after the pressure disappeared, he couldn't move,
his body still trembling from instinctive fear and that primal sense of submission he had felt before
He didn't know what had happened, but after a while, he calmed down a bit, gathered his courage, and opened the door.
This time, to his relief, he didn't feel that same sensation, but that relief was quickly swept away as another worry hit him in the next instant.
His sister, who was supposed to be in a coma, lying comfortably on the bed, had disappeared.
This only made the situation even more confusing for him, and when he told the elders, who had arrived shortly after him, they found themselves in the same situation.
What the hell had happened here? What was that pressure, and why had it come from here?
And Liang Yuexin, who was supposed to be here in coma, where had she gone?
Is it possible that someone actually snatched a family member right under their noses?
The manor, which had just calmed, plunged into frenzy once again, and the two people behind all this, were currently in the secret realm, unaware of all the commotion at the manor.
At that moment, the two were seated on a balcony of a small residence that appeared simple and ancient, yet refined, built atop the mountain.
It was the same location where the golden palace had once stood, which, however, had been a complete illusion; but it didn t matter much as the creature had leveled the entire area of the mountain, during one of its attacks.
Zhu Rong, however, managed to restore that part of the secret realm, and the mountain returned.
But instead of recreating a palace, he built a simple residence on the highest peak of the mountain.
Although the house was simple, it had a breathtaking view from above, something perfect to admire while sipping hot tea and relaxing.
But at this moment, neither he nor she had time for that.
The shock of discovering her cultivation had completely vanished was immense, and Zhu Rong had to work to calm her frantic mind before explaining things clearly.
At that moment, they were both seated there, across from each other at a small table on the balcony. She, this time, dressed in an elegant white gown that only seemed to accentuate her natural beauty, which had not diminished after the process.
In fact, she had undergone visible changes, not just in her overwhelming presence, which she had finally begun to control, but, just like Zhu Rong, she seemed to have grown, though the changes were not as pronounced as those in Zhu Rong.
Her height was the same, perhaps a centimeter or two taller.
Her long silver white hair now seemed smoother and silkier, glowing with a subtle sheen that, though imperceptible to a normal cultivator's eyes, revealed its beauty.
Her eyes were sharper, the purple more vivid.
Her facial features slightly sharper and more mature, and her graceful curves seemed even more accentuated, finally giving her the aura of a woman in the full bloom of her beauty, an aura that had been faintly present before, but was now far more pronounced.
As much as Zhu Rong wanted to get lost in her beauty, there were more important matters to attend to.
And she, having calmed herself somewhat, did not fuss over it but instead listened to what he said.
"So, this place was created by you?" she asked, sighing tiredly as she processed what he had just told her.
"Yes, it was created by me… or rather, it would be more accurate to say by the old me, long ago, to take care of that demon," he replied calmly to her questions.
Zhu Rong didn't hide most of the things her:
why she had ended up in a coma, the reasons behind the events in the secret realm, and so on...
He omitted some details, which she naturally noticed, but he told her that she would discover them in due time and that it was better this way.
Needless to say, much of what she heard shocked her, and more than once she wondered if it was one of his tricks to tease her.
But the reality was before her, and there was little she could do about it.
She looked at him with an expression that betrayed a range of emotions, before speaking:
"So… I'm like you?" she asked quietly, fragments of confused and broken memories from before she woke up surfacing in her mind.
She still couldn't make complete sense of them, but after he told her about his situation and about the fact that she was, in a way, a reincarnation of a past existence, she could at least give some sense to that familiar feeling in those memories.
They gave her that sensation because they belonged to her, or rather, to a past version of her.
It wasn't something that could be processed overnight, and she still had her doubts, but for the moment, she tried to suppress them.
"In a sense, yes… though my situation is… a bit particular," he said, understanding what she was thinking.
He could tell she wasn't completely satisfied and still had questions, but now wasn't the time to go into them, so he decided to focus on something more urgent.
"Your body has mostly stabilized, and in time, you'll get used to it naturally. Take your time while you adjust and learn to control your new power.
You may have lost your cultivation, but I can guarantee that even so, a cultivator in the mortal realm would have a hard time facing you.
Time flows differently here, so you have all the time to recover your cultivation base," he said, before snapping his fingers and materializing a beam of light that struck her forehead before fading.
A certain glimmer appeared in Liang Yuexin's eyes, and she seemed to get lost in her thoughts before regaining focus and looking at him.
"Your previous cultivation technique, while still strong, is no longer suitable for you.
This one is more compatible with your current bloodline and will benefit you more as you progress," he said.
Indeed, the technique he had given her was for dual element cultivators and, being of Heaven grade, it was undoubtedly one of the best.
Enough to be good even now that she had undergone various changes, many of which she had yet to discover.
But Zhu Rong understood that she couldn't continue with a cultivation technique designed for humans; she needed one suited to the new her.
It was a cultivation technique that wasn't any worse than the previous one; in some ways, it was even better.
But more importanlty, it had been made specifically for her, or rather, for who she had been in the past.
That was because it was the technique her past self had actually practiced.
