Although a first blow would not determine whether that was the case, he tried to fight once more with his fists, and the blows rained down on Lam, although he managed to defend himself and counterattack in rapid succession.

In terms of technique, Lam was winning. But in terms of pure strength, every time Lam had to take an indirect or direct hit, he lost too much. His bones creaked and his meager muscles seemed to want to break free from the pressure they were under.

So Lam tried to attack with the advantage of having a weapon and being able to do so from a distance, but there was a problem: although his weapon was large, his arm was not. So he ended up in the same stalemate, landing ineffective blows and receiving extremely strong ones.

At one point, Louis hit him with a blow that sent him five meters away, and he jumped back to get further away.

"Being so small, it's difficult to hit him with my fists. The bastard is incredibly elusive thanks to his size," thought Louis. He never thought fighting a dwarf would be so complicated.

Besides, this wasn't just any dwarf, he was a powerful dwarf. Although he was skinny, the strength in his hands was astonishing.

Louis looked at his arms and a little bit at his body. He had small wounds that itched constantly and reminded him that he was not a martial artist. Perhaps a martial artist could avoid these kinds of injuries with magic or specialized armor, but he, being an Armamentalist, could not wear such heavy armor.

It would greatly reduce his mobility and would not help him much, since the idea behind it is that your opponent cannot reach you and, taking advantage of the distance, you can attack.

Lam stared at Louis and sighed. "He's really patient not to show any magic until now. I don't have that much stamina to wear down a little, so I hope you finally get serious."

He immediately ran his hand along the blade of the sword, creating several sword spells that accumulated on it. The first one set the sword ablaze.

Lam then stomped her foot and jumped toward Louis at full speed. Her body moved much faster than before, and the fire on her sword swung with all her might against her opponent.

Louis moved backward, stomping his right leg to dodge the horizontal attack and attempting to attack from below.

But Lam was really fast, swinging his sword in the air and striking down with great power. The fire around it immediately fell on Louis, and he was forced to hold the sword with his bare hands.

His body sank to the ground, but feeling his hands burning, he managed to move his body to kick Lam in the stomach, which ended up pushing him quite far away. He kicked with all his strength and almost knocked the wind out of his opponent.

But he had achieved his goal of pushing him away, and with that, Louis shook his hands and looked at them.

"That fire is powerful enough to burn me so easily," he thought.

His hands were red and badly burned, and they hurt. But it was nothing serious. He had managed to avoid being hit by the sharp blade, so he was fine.

He looked back at Lam and took a deep breath.

"He's not that strong. I can still knock him out of the ring without having to pull out my gun. The problem will be that I have to dodge these frantic attacks while the magic takes turns coming out," he thought, trying to come up with a plan, but all he could think of was: dodge, dodge, and then try to land a decisive blow with all your strength.

"Well, I have to try."

He had no more time to think; his opponent was already on top of him, hitting him with a vertical attack, which Louis was able to dodge by jumping to the side, but the sword bounced accurately off the ground and approached Louis' neck at greater speed.

He lowered his body slightly and took two steps back, forcing Lam to move closer. The one who was supposed to fall into the trap of distances was the one who was now playing with them. Lam's strategy hadn't worked out as he wanted, but there wasn't much he could do.

This guy's reaction time is superhuman, so Lam had to take him out with frontal attacks.

The problem was that this was exactly what Louis needed.

To tell the truth, the magic of swordsmen is interesting and curious, but too deadly. Weapons have no eyes or feelings, after all. So, even though Louis was admiring how the sword constantly changed from attribute to attribute, sometimes being cold, sometimes being hot, and sometimes bringing gales around it, he was working quickly to take out his rival.

He didn't have to wait long. Lam knew he was running out of time. His opponent hadn't used any magic so far, only dodging his attacks. The battle was boring for the audience, but for Lam it was grueling.

He wanted to talk and insult him for being an idiot who only dodged, but he feared that if he did that, one of those powerful blows would land on his stomach and that would be the end of his battle.

Now, if he ran out of stamina, it would also be the end of his battle. Even if he managed to knock him out, he would have two more fights ahead of him, so he tried to knock him out with a powerful charge, using all his strength.

To do that, he jumped back and used all the magic he had.

Some of it was level 3.

A level 3 mage in this place was not a common thing, so this guy was surely well known.

And with level 3 weapons on his sword, it would not only become much sharper, but also more powerful in terms of pure power.

Even so, he made a mistake.

He didn't move far enough away, and Louis smiled.

"You fell for it." He smiled and immediately took several steps forward.

He quickly approached his opponent, and as soon as he was in front of him, Lam realized he had made a serious mistake.

Too bad... there's no room for regret.

His body arched under a powerful attack to his stomach. His body flew backwards and in seconds he fell rolling on the ground with foam in his mouth.

He was alive, but he had passed out.

"Louis wins the fight," announced the referee.

"Well, not bad. Although it didn't go as far as I expected, I must say that vitality certainly works in defensive capabilities," he thought with a certain joke.

He climbed down from the ring and went to rest.

Or at least that's what he wanted to do.

"Louis vs. Zion!" the referee shouted once more.

"Huh?" Louis turned to look at the ring, and sure enough, a man named Zion had climbed into it and was waiting for him.

Wasn't that too fast?

"I see. This is why they say it really tests your endurance." He sighed helplessly. He couldn't even think about the fight he had just had, and now he had to fight another guy.

In this case, he was the exact opposite of Lam.

Lam was small and skinny.

This guy was huge and fat. He looked like a sumo wrestler or some related martial artist.

"I hope you fight me the same way you fought that little guy," he said, pounding his fists in front of his huge, bare belly.

Despite his belly, you could tell he was muscular, but that belly... it would be a big problem, because if he hit him, all the fat accumulated there would practically serve as a cushion and mitigate much of the damage.

"Well, it'll prevent him from moving fast. That's something," he thought.

Just then, the referee announced the start of the fight.

And as if by some curious and powerful magic, with some ridiculous reach, Zion lunged at him, extremely fast!

Louis couldn't even react as a huge belly was pushing him backwards at great speed.

"What the hell?" Louis felt like his body was about to be thrown out of the ring, so he couldn't help but feel slightly desperate.

He immediately moved his hand backwards and unleashed a series of punches against the belly with all his strength.

It was an overwhelming force that shook Zion's huge, heavy body backwards as if a crane were pulling him with great force.

His dazed mind only recovered when he was already at the edge of the sand, on the other side.

Meanwhile, Louis took a deep breath and looked behind him.

"One meter..." He was frightened just thinking about what would have happened if that attack hadn't worked or if he hadn't acted in time.

Don't underestimate your opponent, no matter how they look!

They told him that very clearly at the beginning, but he went and underestimated his opponent, which led him to almost lose not only his position here, but also a multimillion-dollar bet.

While there were missions waiting to be completed and they were very lucrative, he would never want to lose 150 billion Jens just like that!

He took several deep breaths and looked at fat Zion again.

"Dangerous, but he seems to have difficulty activating magic. Did he get here by the sheer force of his body/belly?" he thought.

He didn't have to wait long for an answer.

Soon, that belly was completely covered by a huge piece of fabric.

"Martial Artist magic... although he's not very good at casting spells, that's at least level 2, and he seems to have special attributes," Louis thought.

He had to be careful in their next encounter.
