Cybernetic Evolution System

Chapter 108: Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits Enhancements! (3)

The blast struck the wall, creating an explosion far more terrifying than both the Zenith Rail Lance and Whisper Pistol combined.

Shards of rock rained down as a mighty gust of dust boomed outward, causing the cave to tremble violently.

Almost instantly, flames spread on the wall, scorching it black before fading away.

Hiss!!

"That's enough," I commanded. "Step back."

As the dust cleared, the devastation of each pellet was revealed.

I realised CR3 had unleashed a shell loaded with all three variable pellet types. I had underestimated just how destructive it would be.

The kinetic pellets were solid projectiles, designed to cause blunt or piercing damage through sheer impact. The incendiary pellets ignited on contact, spreading fire and heat.

And the breaching pellets were specialised for breaking through barriers such as doors, walls, armour, and so forth.

This made me even more satisfied with the upgrades.

The thought of dozens of Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits fitted with such upgrades made my heart quiver with joy.

If not for the sheer recoil of these weapons, I would have added more to their spines and bellies.

Still, I recognised it was better to fuse them with complementary or contrasting weapons, so they could catch enemies off guard or remain versatile.

I summoned the remaining Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits.

This time, I didn't give them the choice of picking their own weapons for upgrade, like the others.

I carefully selected each weapon, because I needed a well-coordinated team.

After performing one more fusion synchronization, a wave of exhaustion hit me.

I took a forty-minute rest to recover.

It was much quicker than when I had transformed their entire bodies into Cybernetic Beasts.

I was still unsure if the size of the magical beast also impacted the cost of my mana and stamina.

I could only find out once I moved on to larger magical beasts.

I quickly went back to upgrading them.

After every five upgrades, I stopped to rest for forty minutes before continuing.

To make the process more efficient, I decided not to test the upgrades until I was finished.

After three hours and twenty-five minutes, I had upgraded all twenty-eight Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits.

I leaned against the wall to catch my breath.

I looked at the CRs, all scattered around beside the remaining weapons.

"Separate the remaining weapons from their ammunition and keep them aside."

Since the ammunition was made from special dungeon ores and materials, I wanted to see which of them could be used to feed Felix to advance his strength.

I didn't want to put myself through the mundane task of separating them, and this was the perfect opportunity to check their status sheets and then improve my skills while the process took place.

It was far more cost-effective for them to handle it.

They nodded in salute before moving the boxes to carry out my orders.

I summoned their status sheets one by one to check the upgrades.

I couldn't help but whistle inwardly.

This was the upgrade with the highest ammo capacity before reload that I had seen yet.

With three mounted on one beast, that meant a total of 180 shots per reload.

Not accounting for the mana costs.

A standard Mk-V Arc Gale Carbine could pierce through armour, the flesh of low-level magical beasts, and even barriers with needle-like precision.

On impact, it could discharge electrical or energetic rounds capable of disrupting mana circulation or stunning muscles and nerves.

At the same time, it could cause minor burns, ruptures, or even force a low-level spell to backfire.

I couldn't help but look forward to how powerful it had become after its cybernetic upgrade, especially if I fused it with Felix, who possessed a High-Wind attribute.

They were all amazing upgrades.

These were the kinds of firearms I had purchased from Bunnytea, numbering up to two hundred.

I carefully created squads of three Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits per team, with the last remaining two split into separate teams.

I felt safe with such a force at my beck and call.

I had used 58 weapons for the upgrade, with 142 weapons remaining.

I began to ponder expanding my options to taming bigger and more powerful magical beasts with higher potential, since the number of upgrades I could use on the Cybernetic Sabre-Tooth Rabbits was limited.

That way, even without the upgrades, they would still be able to protect themselves after undergoing a complete cybernetic transformation.

My mind quickly drifted to who my next target would be.

I wouldn't be able to complete some of my tasks today.

I turned to face the wall behind me and began to cast Firespark continually.

The faster I advanced it to the next level, the safer I felt.

I didn't stop until I had exhausted entirely my mana or increased my proficiency points, before continuing again.
