In the northern hemisphere of planet Vadise, there was a region ruled by mountains that pierced the skies.
At the top of those mountains, thick black clouds lingered all year round, heavy with pure electric power. They stretched for miles across the sky, covering the entire region. Almost every day, the land below was punished by terrifying lightning storms.
There was no nature above the ground — everything died under the suppression of lightning. But in the rivers that cut through the land, that same power actually infused the waters with incredible life energy, making life flourish easily there.
That whole region on the planet was a perfect home for beasts connected to Yang and, especially, to lightning.
At the center of the largest mountain range stood a massive city filled with countless tall buildings — grand and luxurious, yet simple and refined at the same time.
This place was called Purple Tribulation City. Many centuries ago, it had been the greatest city on the planet — its capital. Back then, the ones who ruled the city and the entire planet were a race of small but frighteningly powerful demonic beasts called the Crimson Storm Talon.
But time was merciless, and everything was in constant change.
In less than three centuries after the appearance of the Spiritual Guardians on the planet, the draconic Bloodline had been conquered during an S-rank mission — and everything changed completely.
...
It was a very dark night.
In the center of Purple Tribulation City, a massive castle stood — the last remaining stronghold of the once-glorious Crimson Storm Talon family.
They had lost almost everything except for their main castle. At that point, they could barely remain among the top hundred most influential families on the planet, but even so, they had managed to stay stable and survive to that day.
All because their leaders had never forgotten a very important rule taught long ago:
*Karma was the most important thing for all living beings. As long as one was alive — even at rock bottom — they should never stain themselves trying to gain power at any cost, because that was the fastest path to destruction.*
Those words, for almost every powerful being or living creature, were nothing but a ridiculous joke.
To those with power, Karma didn't seem to have much influence — they believed everything could be solved through strength, not by the fate given by the heavens. That was pure ignorance. Only when they reached nine rings and tried to become immortal did they realize how big of a mistake that thinking was.
That beast family had never tried to regain their former power, accepting the changes that came with time peacefully. Their leaders weren't chosen for strength, but for wisdom — and for their ability to keep the clan under control.
It couldn't be said that none of them ever committed terrible acts, but overall, things stayed under strict control.
That night, the entire castle was surrounded by almost two thousand beasts from three different families. The ground was covered in black cracks, and a few bodies could be seen scattered around — mostly small purple birds that had fought and died protecting their home.
Even so, the castle gate hadn't been destroyed, and more than two-thirds of the Crimson Storm Talon were still alive inside.
Hudu stood on top of the main castle in his true form. He was a small beast, now glowing faintly with a weak purple light. His body pulsed with immense pain — he knew they couldn't hold out much longer.
They had resisted for hours only because those enemy families didn't really want to go all out. From time to time, they launched attacks, and then Hudu would activate the defensive inscription that covered the entire castle, blocking them.
But they didn't have the resources to keep that up for long — especially if the barrier kept being attacked. So Hudu was forced to send soldiers out to fight.
It had already happened eleven times — and he had already sent nearly a thousand members of his own family to their deaths. Every time the enemies finished off the defenders, instead of attacking further, they would retreat a bit.
That way, Hudu could deactivate the defensive inscription and save energy.
Now, even with almost two thousand people left to fight, the resources stored to sustain the barrier were almost gone. They wouldn't be able to withstand two more attacks like that, even with the enemies toying with them sadistically.
"It's been twelve hours..." he murmured, thinking about the two young ones he had sent back to the capital.
He was sure they had arrived, but... if Darian came, it would be a truly foolish choice. Hudu wouldn't blame him. After all, Darian had only promised to help because he'd been treated well — and because Hudu had paid him with a fish and a drink.
Why would anyone risk their life for something like that?
"Lord Hudu," a voice called out, and the small beast turned, seeing the human who had spoken.
"Mr. Cyaos, please, leave. I don't want you involved in this," Hudu said seriously.
Cyaos replied calmly, "Don't worry. Lord Darian will come. I stayed so I could fight by your side when he arrives."
Hudu sighed. At least he had managed to send a young couple safely to the capital. If everything went wrong, the pure Bloodline of their race could still survive. Maybe, if Darian truly wanted to help, choosing to protect them and keep the race alive would already repay the favor many times over.
**BUZZ!**
Suddenly, the sky and earth began to vibrate and hum.
Hudu and Cyaos looked up in shock. High above, the eternal black clouds that covered the city were trembling and shining with a radiant light.
The space below the clouds shuddered with a terrifying premonition.
Something dreadful was about to happen. Every beast surrounding the castle — and throughout the city — felt it deep in their souls and went on high alert.
But...
Hudu, Cyaos, and the other three family leaders — all with eight rings — managed to activate their powers and sense the epicenter of it all.
It wasn't in the skies — but outside the city. All the electric power covering several kilometers was being drawn and concentrated in a single point.
They quickly activated the power of their rings in their eyes and focused on the tallest mountain outside the city.
At the top, they could see a shadowy figure wrapped in a tattered black cloak.
Under the hood, long dark-green hair waved in the wind, and eyes glowing bright crimson reflected a visceral, bloodthirsty will.
The figure held a strange dagger, crackling with grayish energy. Just looking at it felt like staring at the source of every calamity in the world.
Darian smiled coldly.
It was time to test something new — and find out his true limits.
He had received a lot of methods from Lian on how to channel and use the power of chaos. In essence, chaos wasn't a power of creation, but a catalyst — something that exponentially amplified everything that already existed: the body, techniques, anything.
Up until now, his best offensive technique was *Whirlwind Flare*, which relied purely on the fusion of wind and fire elements. But with the addition of Chaos — and ideas absorbed from the *Chromaraic Cataclysm* — his original technique had completely changed, turning into something new and terrifying.
To make it possible, he also infused it with his mastery over all natural elements.
Then, he raised his dagger high.
*RUMBLE!!!*
The skies roared. The world lost its color for an instant. A lightning bolt of apocalyptic scale pierced through time and space, striking a single point.
It wasn't just electricity — it was the condensed power of the entire lightning element across that whole region, all absorbed by Darian's dagger.
A moment later, at the top of the mountain, Darian glowed as bright as the sun. Night turned into day. The eternal clouds above the city scattered, swept away by the wave of light.
Every living being there froze completely, feeling death chain their souls in place.
Darian exhaled sharply. Now, his technique was no longer bound to specific elements. Whatever element existed in abundance around him could become the medium — the fuel — for a single, devastating strike.
"This is a completely different level of power... so it deserves a new name."
He muttered, swinging the dagger and pointing it toward a single spot within the city — where he could feel the densest black karma gathered.
**BLINDING BREAK!**
He roared, and light burst from Darian. It was so bright and blinding that no one could even tell what color it was. It felt as if elemental power had returned to its purest, most destructive form — amplified by chaos.
There was no air explosion, only a dreadful silence as the energy moved.
The strike shot out from his dagger not like a lightning bolt, but like a blade of pure light — thin, unstoppable — capable of cutting through the very world itself. The attack tore through sky and earth in a perfectly straight line, leaving a shimmering trail behind.
Its speed was absurd; the light hit the target before the sound of the technique could even be heard.
The strike landed exactly where the three family leaders were gathered.
Moments before, they had been laughing, waiting for that guest to arrive — after hearing news from the capital that he had left.
Now... he had truly arrived.
And a blinding flash swallowed their world.
**KBOOOM!!**
The ground shook. Space itself trembled. It was like an atomic explosion — the entire planet could feel the vibrations on some level.
It took several seconds before light and sound returned to the senses of those still alive.
Inside the Crimson Storm Talon family castle...
...Hudu and Cyaos stood completely stunned.
Cyaos was the first to come back to his senses. In front of him, not far from the castle, there was now a massive abyss stretching hundreds of meters across.
That was where the three family leaders had been.
With one strike... everything was turned to nothing.
Unfortunately, the beasts from the three families had surrounded the castle in a wide circle. The strike had killed the three strongest ones and a small group around them, but 95% of the enemy beasts were still alive.
At the top of the mountain, Darian was breathing heavily, coughing up blood.
All his organs and veins had ruptured — that level of power was far beyond what his body could handle. But... within a second, he healed completely.
Now that his white power was back, none of that mattered.
He looked up at the sky — there were no clouds left, no trace of elemental power. He had consumed everything. And that attack had only been possible because of the absurd amount of energy available. Without it, he could've never used something like that.
Turning back, he saw a flying ship parked at the base of the mountain, his entire army aboard — completely frozen, like they had just witnessed something from another world.
"Wake up! It's time to fight, Go Go!"
Darian roared, and everyone snapped out of their stupor in an instant.
Then, Tetoya activated the flying ship, and they soared toward the city.
