Star Hawk Rises

100: CHAPTER 19: Senior Sister!

I had walked into a stunningly beautiful room that screamed elegance and wealth. In the centre of the room were two couches that faced each other, in the centre of them was a beautiful coffee table made from crystal, it also had gold trimmings around it. On top was a hologram of a cube of water, inside that water were convincingly life-like ocean creatures. I recognised the clown fish, dory, and lobsters. However, there were a few other creatures that I had absolutely no idea what they were.

On the left, behind one of the couches, was a door that had opened into a huge bedroom. It had a canopy bed that looked like it had come from an old castle on earth. There was also a footlocker, wardrobe, and a vanity. On the right wall there was a door that opened to a balcony with a garden. A small cushion in the middle of the room and a beautiful view of the beach. After a little testing I found out the herbs were real and were tended to by some sort of automatic system and the beach was just a convincing video on the wall.

On the other side of the couches in the main room was a stunning kitchenette that looked like it belonged in an upscale, wealthy restaurant that catered to the rich and famous. It came with an android that looked like an old gentleman from England that you would find working as a butler, he even was wearing a butlers uniform. He had immediately informed me it was breakfast time and asked if I would like to enjoy a hearty breakfast, continuing on to list off a menu of what I might like to eat for breakfast.

After eating my breakfast, I continued to explore, finding one last room on the back wall that opened to a small empty hangar. After finding nothing of interest there, I walked back to the garden and sat on the small cushion in the middle of the room.

I was now staring at the beach, thinking how this did not help my cultivation at all. I let out a sigh and decided having it turned off so I could focus would be much better. "How do I turn off the beach?" I asked myself as I looked around the small room. I was surprised when the beach faded out, and I was left sitting there staring out of glass at space. A few moments later my eyes were closed, and I had a content smile on my face as I felt the Qi in the room change to one I could cultivate.

I had been slowly trying to direct the Qi into my dantian and from there out into my entire body. However, I had to have it reach the furthest point from my dantian at equal amounts to the point directly next to my dantian. It was infuriatingly difficult. I had only just figured out I needed to send more Qi to the outreaches of my body than the flicker that was needed for the immediate area, when a soft chime and a pleasant female voice spoke.

"Ding, a guest is at the door."

I let out a groan and got to my feet, letting go of the Qi. I glanced out to space and shrugged my shoulders, deciding to give it a try. "Wall, display a beautiful forest of flowers." I smiled as the stars vanished as it changed to a garden of various flowers as far as the eye could see. "Now that is a beautiful sight" I whispered as I reluctantly turned away from the view and headed for my office where the front door was.

A few moments later I was standing in front of the front door, reaching out to open it when it just vanished, allowing me to see the person on the other side. He stood there, tapping his foot impatiently, staring at my chest like it owed him money. I took a step back as I raised my arm to cover myself, only for the door to reappear. After a few moments of confusion, and staring at the door waiting to see if I could hear him yell about having seen me and I needed to hurry up and open the door. I slowly took a step back towards the door.

It vanished again and there he was still tapping his foot as he stared impatiently. I lent forward and waved my hand in front of his face, no reaction, I gave him the finger, no reaction. Shrugging my shoulders, I reached for where the handle should have been and felt my hand close around it. A moment later, I turned it and pulled the door open, reaction.

"It's about damn time, do you know how rude it is to keep an Elder of the Sect Ship waiting out in the hallway, now come with me. You will be fixing the tables you broke, and then you will be punished for breaking them." He declared hotly.

I considered just closing the door in his face and going back to my cultivation, but something made me want to mess with him a little bit first. I tiled my head as I gave him a look of confusion.

"what? I don't understand, Elder Wang Jun. What tables have I broken, I have been confined to my quarters for the last two weeks and the Patriarch of this sect ship dropped me off in this room, this morning, since then I have been cultivating."

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"You know damn well what tables you have broken, now come with me. You will be punished for what you have done, and you will restore my access to the blueprint tables!" He screamed at me as his face went red.

"I am sorry, junior brother, but I am a little busy right now and don't have time to fix your table for you. I suggest you speak with the Patriarch of this sect ship about getting a new account or something. Now, if you will excuse me, I really must be getting back to my cultivation." I said, then turned to close the door.

"Are you insane!" He screeched as he stomped his foot. "How dare you call me junior brother! I am an inner sect, outer court disciple and an elder of the outer sect on this ship, you will show my station respect, you damn Federation dog. Now you will come and fix the tables immediately and give me the source code for your ship. If you comply quickly, I may overlook the serious crime you have committed!"

I shifted my eyes to look at him for a few moments before a smile slowly appeared on my face. I began to close the door as I delivered one final blow to his ego, and let him know I really didn't care what he thought he could do to me.

"Oh, you are an inner sect disciple of the outer courtyard? How fascinating, I am also an inner sect disciple, but I am from the core courtyard. Now I have been polite and respectful, and you have been rude, so this is your final warning, disappear before I take an interest in what you have been doing out here in the outer sect!" I spoke calmly until I delivered the threat and growled it at him just before slamming the door.

The door instantly vanished, allowing me to see him standing there, wide-eyed with his mouth hanging open. I waited a few moments to see if he would walk away. Honestly, I wasn't surprised when he instead lept forwards and began banging on what from my perspective was an invisible door.

I let out a groan of annoyance and turned to the box that was flush with the wall next to the door and pushed the call button on the screen and waited a few moments for it to connect.

"Greetings Honoured Guest, you have called the Discipline Department, how may I help you today?"

"Hello, I seem to have a problem at my front door, an Elder of your ship is insisting rudely that I come with him. I have attempted to ask him to leave me alone, but he continues to pound on my door. At this point I think it's become harassment, can you help me with this?" I asked sweetly.

"Of course, Honoured Guest" came the immediate reply before he took a breath and continued. "I have informed the head of the discipline department of the issue, and she is now waving at me as she walks out the door. She should be with you momentarily. Is there anything else I can help you with today?"

"No, that is all, thank you for your assistance." I replied, looking at the box with a slight smile as I thought, 'this guy is good.'

"Very good, Honoured Guest, I am glad I could be of assistance to you today, I respectively bow and wish you a wonderful rest of your day." He replied happily before the line disconnected.

"damn, he is good at his job" I said with a slight sound of amazement in my voice.

I was about to turn away and return to my cultivation. Which I thought was way more important than Wang Jun. But just before I did, I saw him turn and look down the hallway, quickly straightening his back and putting on a face of polite friendliness.

"Oh, this ought to be good, I wonder if I can turn on the sound from outside." I asked as I glanced around the door for any indication it was possible.

"Elder Itshu Biyu, what brings you to this hallway today?" Wang Jun asked politely.

"Cut the crap, Wang Jun, what gave you the balls to bang on an Honoured Guest's door?" She snapped at him.

I saw him deflate slightly before dropping any pretence of politeness and friendliness and began to talk to Itshu Biyu like she was an old friend that had come to reprimand him for some foolishness.

"oh, lighten up, there are no Honoured Guests on this ship, just a Federation dog with a stick up her ass. In fact, perhaps I should bring to your attention it was her that broke so many of the blueprint tables in my engineering department with some sort of nefarious code." He replied as he rolled his eyes.

"Don't give me that shit! Some of your people have filed complaints about those tables not working, my people investigated and found the table was simply disabled for half an hour whenever you logged into it. The code only prevents you from accessing the table, not everyone else. I suggest you speak to our ship's patriarch about getting a new account or perhaps asking very politely for an antivirus." She snapped back at him again.

She then turned as she raised her fist and was about to knock on my door when she froze momentarily. After a few moments, she lowered her fist and half bowed to the door.

"Greetings to Senior Sister. I am an Inner Sect disciple of the outer courtyard, Itshu Biyu. My Cousin has informed me of your changed status and has given me guidance on how to treat such an accomplished Senior Sister, as yourself."

"Why are you talking to a door?" he drawled before continuing in an annoyed voice. "And what accomplishments? I filed a complaint yesterday once I got access to her ship's design and discovered her code is mine with a few tweaks to it."

Itshu Biyu was interrupted by Wang Jun and had turned her head slightly to glare at him before she turned back and continued speaking to me through the door.

"And on behalf of the Disciplinary Department, I wish to apologise for the treatment you have suffered at the hands of this Little Brother, who doesn't seem to know his place."

"What do you mean little, and again, why are you talking to a door?" He suddenly snapped at her, once again interrupting her, only for her to round on him.

"Will you shut up! And more importantly, have you seriously failed to notice the red dot in the middle of the fricken door, indicating you are being observed!" She hissed, now looking pissed off. She slowly turned back to the door as she tried to rain her expression back into one of calm.

"Senior Sister, I would like to seek your advice on how I should deal with his growing list of crimes, which seem to be mostly against you."
