Knock knock.
Two soft knocks rose Lucas from his slumber. As he rose, he asked with barely opened eyes.
"Who is it?"
"It's me sir Lucas, my mistress wants to see you."
Lucas frowned slightly, Sasha's voice sounded different. Colder than it usually did. He just shook his head and rolled out of his bed, saying,
"I'll be right there."
He walked over to the door and it opened up to reveal Sasha. She looked at him flatly before turning to leave without a word. Not knowing what to think of this, Lucas followed after her.
As they walked, he realized just how loud their steps were, the usual muted backdrop of Beastkins moving around was absent.
"Is today everyone's off day, Sasha?"
Lucas asked lightly, his senses honing in on all of Sasha's movements.
"Yes sir, Lucas."
Sasha responded, her expression still as flat as a lake.
"Umm… why is that?"
Sasha said nothing as she kept walking forward. Lucas' intuition screamed at this but he stayed his tongue and suppressed it. Whatever was going on, Evélyne would hopefully bring him into the loop.
A few minutes later, they were in the training field. Evélyne was equipped in her dark armor once more and faced away from them. Her pale white blade gleamed with power on her waist.
Watching her back, Lucas sensed a familiar overbearing pressure. His weak Physique carried forward by mostly will power. He stabilized his voice as much as he could as he asked,
"Good morning Evélyne, is anything the matter?"
Evélyne stayed silent, the pressure she exuded rising higher and higher. Lucas felt a bone crushing force smash into him. He struggled to stand upright as he yelled,
"What are you doing—"
"Kneel."
The pressure rose exponentially causing the ground to crack. The air around Lucas felt as heavy as lead but somehow he still stood with both feet. With every orifice bleeding and his pores producing spots of dark red liquid, he clenched his teeth with a defiant,
"No!"
The pressure suddenly released, Evélyne calmly said,
"Essence of perfection: Layered [Exsanguination]."
"!!!"
Before he could react, he was eviscerated by countless sword strikes.
Gasp.
Lucas shot awake, beads of red sweat dotting his face. Wiping them off with his sleeve, he frowned at the stain. Channeling his energy into his clothes, the stain fade as he thought,
'Same nightmare again… and my injuries seemed to be getting worse.'

With a tired sigh, he went to his bathroom to clean up. When he was done, he got dressed in some comfortable black pants and a loose top. He looked at the shoes around but ignored them. He felt more comfortable barefoot.
Getting back on his bed, he laid there comfortably as he thought,
'Okay Wiki, I have some questions.'
{Ask away.}
'What is Physique?'
Wiki paused for a moment before it said,
{Physique is a measurement of your body's power and its connection to the physical world.}
Not fully understanding the vague definition, Lucas asked,
"What does "body's power" imply in this definition?"
{It implies your overall physical capability. This includes your raw strength, durability, dexterity, stamina, physical presence, and much more.}
"Can you elaborate more?"
{You do not have access to such information.}
Rolling his eyes, Lucas questioned another vague phrase.
"What does physical presence mean in this context?"
{It represents a part of what you call aura.}
Waiting for a bit, Wiki didn't continue. So Lucas asked,
"So what is an aura then?"
{You do not have access to such information.}
Taking a deep breath, Lucas switched his focus and began asking other questions. Unfortunately, Wiki just cleared up principles he already understood.
"Okay. Let's try to heal up. As long as I can accelerate the process by a bit, I can start training once again."
He sat himself on the floor, the carpet pulsed with warmth as he closed his eyes. His mind went to his core as he sought a starting point for this experiment. The sight of his core caused him to frown.
His ever transforming and infinitely colorful core now looked dim and muted. It struggled to transform every five seconds. The usual units of Spirit energy it generated almost nonexistent as well.
The Spirit and Life energy which orbited around it now moved gingerly in broken and inefficient patterns.
'Arrgh!'
And attempt to improve the circulation left him multiple organs being ripped and a bloody mouth. Undeterred, he focused on mending himself with just his natural healing.
After about fifteen minutes, he tried to influence his core again only for a similarly painful result. Sighing, he got off the floor and moved towards the door.
"I should get to the training field, I don't want to anger Ms. Perfect so soon."
As Lucas trekked, he took note of the halls and Beastkins moving about. Unlike his dream, the atmosphere was quite welcoming. With the warm morning light coming through the windows, the few maids went about their duties. He could see one guiding some loosely dressed Beastkins through the manor.
'I wonder what they are doing here.'
Keeping his curiosity to himself, he kept moving forward. He got to the training yard in a few minutes. Sasha was standing outside the field watching her mistress practice with a staff.
The wooden staff was completely plain, lacking any Runes. Evélyne's movements were as smooth as always as she practiced. She came to a stop after a few more moves. Twirling her staff twice, she turned to Lucas and said,
"Good morning Lucas. How did you sleep?"
Subconsciously rubbing his neck, Lucas responded,
"Quite well, the bed is so soft it felt like I laid on clouds."
He turned over to Sasha and did the wave. Sasha did the same with a slight smile as she said.
"Good morning sir Lucas. You can speak Urshai now? That's great!"
Lucas smiled brightly as he said,
"Apparently. The Queen taught me yesterday."
Evélyne walked closer to him as she asked flatly,
"Did my mother do anything else?"
Watching her eyes narrowing slightly. Lucas casually shook his head, pain flair in his core as he said,
"She just told me some few thanks and collected a sample from me in the lab. So what are we doing today?"
Evélyne didn't press the issue as she fell into thought.
"… I'm not sure. You're too injured to train properly and studying too much in your current condition can be dangerous as well. Is there anything you do to relax?"
Lucas was a little surprised at this as he asked,
"Umm… I usually hung out with my friends, practiced my parkour moves, or did stunts… but now I can't really do any of those for obvious reasons."
The trio fell into awkward silence at this. Sasha suddenly broke the silence by whispering something to herself. Given their sharp perceptions, she was practically screaming.
"We could be your friends…"
Lucas tried to hold it in but he ended up laughing out loud. Evélyne looked at him in mild confusion while Sasha covered her blushing face.
Lucas quickly regained control of himself. Seeing Evélyne's puzzled looked, he felt a little awkward so he tried to explain himself.
"It's just… she is too cute."
He turn to Sasha and said,
"You know, it's tiring for me to be tense around you guys. To be honest, I would love being your friend…"
Sasha revealed her face,
"Really?"
Lucas nodded with a genuine smile.
'Be free.'
Turning to Evélyne, he asked.
"So what do you guys do for fun?"
