In the darkness, there were no lights, just two thugs smoking cigarettes in the distance.
I raised the MK14, a smile of delight on my face.
My finger rested on the trigger.
Duke raised his hand, extending three fingers, 3, 2, 1!
I pulled the trigger, and Ella completed her shot as well.
Synchronized shooting!
Thud thud!
Two bullets precisely pierced the enemies' skulls.
The sentry at the warehouse entrance was no more.
Everything was silent.
I pointed my gun towards the rooftop. At the back, there was a sentry, indicating an enemy presence.
Ella and Duke moved forward with their bodies low.
I aimed at the back sentry and pressed my earpiece.
"Eight o'clock direction, stand by!"
"Copy!"
"Ella, stand by!"
"Copy!"
"3, 2, 1!"
Duke finished speaking and extended his hand from below.
Thud thud!
Two bullets pierced the enemy's torso.
The thug in front fell from the building.
"Fuck!"
Duke cushioned with his hands as the body hit the ground.
"Are you okay?"
"Almost broke my arm!"
I rushed to the warehouse entrance, Duke raised his shotgun, aiming at the lock.
"Kelly, ready a stun grenade!"
The brown-haired girl moved to the other side of the door, nodding in understanding, pulling out a stun grenade.
"3, 2, 1!" Duke squeezed the trigger, bang!
The noise was loud and impossible to hide, but it didn't matter.
I kicked the door, twisting to one side, as Kelly pulled the pin and threw the stun grenade into the warehouse!
The four of us coordinated seamlessly.
Bang!
The thugs, startled by the sound of gunfire, grabbed their weapons, only to be blinded by a dazzling flash of light in the dark.
"Ahhh!"
"Fuck!"
"Enemy attack, enemy attack!"
"You think I don't know?"
"Where are the enemies?"
A chorus of shouts erupted inside the warehouse.
Ella and I entered with our rifles raised.
Thud thud thud thud!
Bullets flew in the darkness. The enemies had no visibility, but we saw everything clearly.
Thud thud!
A thug squatting on the ground was shot through by me.
Thud!
Ella moved laterally, targeting anyone holding a weapon. As soon as she spotted them, a quick and precise shot followed.
She was like a killing machine, her hit rate astonishing, her rapid firing delivering a terrifying outcome, snuffing out lives mercilessly.
Someone fell every five seconds.
"Damn it! Where's the enemy?"
"Can't see, why is there still no power?"
"The fuse blew!"
"Bastard!"
"Use your phone's flashlight!"
"Diego, you're a genius."
"Yes, you're the best, Diego, kill them."
Several thugs raised their phones.
Outside the door, Kelly raised her assault rifle — the enemy's phone light made for perfect targets.
Thud thud!
Thump. A guy holding a phone hit the ground.
"Damn it!" cursed another phone-wielding thug.
Thud!
Duke shot through his waist.
"Diego, you're an idiot! We've become sitting ducks!"
"You were just praising me," complained Diego.
Ella, behind a metal cabinet, targeted the talking thug, thud!
Her bullet hit the prone Diego.
"Oh, Diego, damn it, are you okay?"
"Diego's dead. Shut up!"
Thud!
The talker was hit by me.
The warehouse's center was lined with wooden tables, piled with cash. Locals and Venezuelan laborers lay prostrate on the floor, hands over their heads.
We could clearly see the ones holding weapons.
No collateral damage.
The open area lacked cover for us, making it easy for Ella and me to pick them off.
"They can see us!"
"Damn, are they government troops?"
"Impossible, those guys were paid off, we would have known."
Thud!
The speaker fell next to his companion, a hole in his head gushing blood.
"Oh, SHIT! Did we encounter the U.S. Army?"
"Special forces!"
"Damn, mom!" A thug clutching a pistol cowered in a corner, his body trembling.
"God bless us!"
"Holy Death, protect me." Thud, I shot through his throat.
"Damn it!"
"Fight back!"
The remaining thugs raised their weapons over their heads, firing blindly into the dark.
They couldn't see, but firing was enough!
Bang bang bang bang bang!
Bullets flew thick and fast; Ella and I hid behind the metal cabinet while Duke and Kelly took shelter behind the door's wall.
Bullets pounded everything around.
The thugs desperately squeezed their triggers, gun muzzles swinging wildly, sparks flying everywhere.
Ella and I pulled out our stun grenades, took cover behind the cabinets, and tossed them out quickly, minimizing exposure.
Bang bang!
"Ahhhh, my head!"
"Holy Mary!"
"Bastard!"
Duke and Kelly charged in with their assault rifles; we stepped out from cover, facing the opponents, mechanically pulling our triggers.
Each shot targeted a weapon-wielding, shouting thug.
Thud thud thud thud!
Deep-throated sounds accompanied death.
The man in the corner closed his eyes, "Oh God! This is a massacre!"
"The power's back on, the power's back on!" Cheered a gunman exiting the generator room, "Kill them!"
The warehouse lit up, and I lowered my night vision goggles.
The shouting gunman saw the corpses littering the floor and the four rifles aimed at him.
Thud.
The gunman knelt, hands over his head. "I'm sorry! Can we forget what I just said?"
"Guy in the corner, come out slowly! Drop your weapons!"
The imaging device clearly saw the guy hiding in the corner, unable to shield his body from thermal radiation.
Dropping his pistol, a short man crawled out. He knelt on the floor too.
