The next morning -
Jared was seated upright on the ground.
The cold wind brushed against his exposed skin, his buttocks pressing hard against the ground.
He looked to the side, and there he could see the Mecha robots still packed where he left them. But just in his line of sight were his clothes.
It was then he remembered.
'Damn, we actually did it!'
Jared turned around to find Kiara sleeping next to him in her underwear.
Her perfectly smooth back and long hair made her look even more attractive as she lay there.
Though her ass was out, Jared couldn't help but gulp after seeing her boobs firmly resting on the ground.
They were soft and plump.
He'd know; he touched and sucked them the night before.
After their conversation, Jared tried to head back to the village, but he underestimated how clingy Kiara could get.
She managed to pin him to the ground, kissing him as she pulled off his clothes.
Of course, Jared wasn't one to fall to lust that easily - but the part of him that loves Kiara didn't give him that choice.
Body pressed against one another, her moans, how she kissed him like it was going to be the last.
Jared remembered all of it.
The fact it happened outside was crazy, but what was even crazier was Kiara actually being the one to initiate it.
[The God of Loyalty is impressed by your companion.]
[The God of Loyalty has donated 5000 CP.]
[The God of Loyalty reveals the character Kiara will undergo changes due to her loyalty level surpassing 100.]
Jared wore his trousers.
'So, the same thing that happened to Lucy? Lucy... I bet she's looking everywhere for me. No one ever reaches this side of the village, so I doubt they came here.'
He sat back down.
"...No point in postponing this."
Tap!
[Character Upgrade Hack.]
[Who would you like to use it on?]
Jared tapped on the card, then swiped it towards Kiara's position.
[Congratulations, the character Kiara Dawson has been upgraded to a Six Star.]
Jared's eyes widened but turned stale just as quickly.
It was just as he predicted. Kiara had more potential than everyone in the village. Both William and Lucy got Five Star rank during their upgrade.
Kiara got the Six Star.
It's pretty obvious that she was better.
'...The question is, can anyone stop her when the time comes?' Jared thought to himself.
One of the reasons he was hesitant to upgrade her from the start.
Kiara can be crazy.
Though she is loyal to the people of the village, the same can't be said for the people outside.
If things were left in her care, she would undoubtedly try to conquer every village in the north.
Sigh!
Jared scratched the back of his head.
"Maybe I'm just worrying too much. I should head back to the village."
Just as he was about to stand up—
"Good morning, Lord Jared~"
Jared flinched.
Immediately finding his cool, he turned around to look at her.
Just as the system had told him beforehand, Kiara did look different. She was prettier, her body looked more attractive. She had glowed up.
"...You slept well."
Kiara calmly sat upright, her hair trailing down her exposed breasts.
"Sorry, I think I was just tired."
Looking away, Jared stood up from the ground.
"I see."
"My lord."
"Yes."
"Can we do it again?"
"D-do what again?"
He didn't get a response.
So he turned around to check.
Only to find Kiara making sexual gestures with her fingers.
"Just get dressed already!" he shouted while pointing.
Kiara laughed.
Although she wanted to speak to Jared about the sex they had, she enjoyed it, every single second of it. Not getting to feel something like that again was going to drive her crazy.
She needed to convince him to have sex with her again, no matter what it took.
Once she was fully dressed, Kiara followed Jared back to the village while holding his arm close to her breasts.
As soon as they got to the village—
"...Lord Jared?" William uttered, halting in front of the gate while carrying some farm equipment in a box.
"Yo..."
Jared waved his hand.
Without any warning, William dropped the box on the ground and ran towards Jared.
With both hands grabbing him, he yelled—
"Where have you been?! Everyone was so worried about you! We thought you were eaten by some animal or something! Lucy fainted so many times because she couldn't find you!"
Jared averted his gaze, his nervousness slipping once in a while.
"I'm back now. That's all that matters."
William sighed.
"Yes, you are right, my lord." William picked up on Kiara, "Oh, you were missing too. Were you with the young master?"
To which Kiara replied—
"Yes."
Short and direct. Not a single word right after.
This made William worry a bit. Leaving the fact that she looked way too different, the look on her face didn't exactly give off the right vibe.
Kiara was normally always calm and most times frowning; now, she seemed like a princess who just got her birthday present.
The urge to ask what happened chewed at him from the inside, but he wasn't too sure he wanted to know.
"Anyway, have all the buildings been installed?" asked Jared while staring at the sight before him.
He could already see the buildings from a far distance.
The roofs were high, so it was easy to spot. Hell, most of the buildings were huge and big, even better than the buildings in major cities.
"Yes, sir. We had trouble stacking the parts, but thanks to Jessica, we did it." William smiled after shaking his head, "No, it's thanks to you, my lord. We now have a roof over our heads."
[The character William is happy.]
[You have received 300 CP.]
For someone who enjoyed being praised, Jared could not help but make a smug expression.
"It can't be helped. If we are going to surpass every village in the northern region, we need to do better than we are right now."
He then continued—
"Oh, I need you to do something for me while you're at it."
"What is it, my lord?"
"I need you to gather people and transport the buildings towards the south. Kiara will lead you there. Once the buildings have been installed, take 36 cat people and allow them to live there."
"You want them to stay there, my lord? I thought they were going to stay with us in the village," asked Kiara.
"Well, technically they are still with us. But I need them there more than anything.
"Do not force them if they don't want to come. Just let them know I intend to give them power in exchange for keeping Sikone safe."
Kiara and William bowed their heads.
"I'll take care of it," said Kiara.
"Good, tell me when you're done." Jared walked away.
William noticed the smile on Kiara's face as she watched him walk.
"Why are you grinning so much? Are you sick?" William asked.
"Drop dead," Kiara walked away.
Meanwhile...
Jared had made his way to the main part of the village, watching as the villagers were all moving into their new houses.
For once, the village looked so much better when their buildings didn't look like they were made from seaweed and mud.
The villagers who spotted Jared cheered for him as he walked past them.
Their gratitude was over the top. Many of them even ran up to him just so they could pull him towards their building to have a look, some of whom were kids.
Jared didn't mind; to him, he was just taking everything he deserved for putting wooden houses in the village.
He didn't rest though. He was dragged into houses and giving advice on where and how everyone should maintain their places.
At the end of the day, Jared ended up doing that for all 56 people present in the village, and 20+ other cat people who ended up taking a liking to him.
Once he was done, he finally made it to his own house.
"So this is where I'll be staying?"
He looked around for a while.
'And it looks like they already helped me with the packing too.'
Unlike the rest of the houses in Sikone, his was far different.
It was stationed at the very front, facing the rest of the buildings in a straight-line fashion.
And his was a Japanese-style building, almost as big as a mansion.
Jared slid open the door and walked in.
A table was at the center of the room along with small pillows and a cup of water.
He smiled, "They got everything down to the last detail."
Jared continued, checking all the rooms and seeing how impressive everything was.
The dining room, the bedroom, the bathroom—there were so many rooms that Jared lost count.
But there was one room he never expected them to add.
Though he did suggest it, he didn't think they would add it.
That was his planning room, where he intended to do most of his meetings with the important people in the village, or where he would keep his trusted guests.
As he opened the door to check, his eyes fell upon Lucy, who was using a rag to clean the altar.
Once she noticed him—
"Ah—Good evening, Lord Jared, you're back." She slightly stood up while kneeling down.
"...Yes," Jared remained at the entrance, "I see you're cleaning."
"This place was dirty, and I didn't want anyone else doing it." Lucy then frowned, "So may I ask where you went last night?"
