Supreme Game: Antimagic Apocalypse

Chapter 58: The Trial (2)

"BANG!"

The red giant's hammer slammed into the rocky floor, missing Raizel by a hair's breadth.

Raizel was already on its back, striking down at the monster's leg with his sword.

The cut was forceful, but due to its tough skin, it barely made a mark.

Still, red blood spilled forth, and the monster roared in pain.

"Roar!"

Enraged, it swung its heavy hammer down at Raizel.

Raizel cursed under his breath before slipping away from the spot with agility three times that of an average human.

Raizel began searching for its weak spot as he readied himself by jumping repeatedly to warm up.

The warm-up jump had helped him many times in his previous life whenever he fought.

It helps him to increase battle awareness and sharp reflexes.

However now, the warm-up jump felt much smoother and more satisfying because of his increased strength and health compared to his past life.

He could target its neck, but it was wrapped in thick leather. Piercing it would be difficult.

That left only one option—its eyes.

From the looks of it, the creature had no magical prowess. That meant this trial was purely about strength and technique.

Raizel quickly summoned the D-Grade spear from his inventory.

Yes, it was a game item.

Alastor's father must have enjoyed spoiling his son, gifting him such a high-quality weapon.

But luckily, it was now in Raizel's hands.

At its full potential, it could deal up to 90 points of damage.

However, spear techniques and styles played a crucial role in wielding such a weapon. And there was a massive tier gap between the spear and Raizel. He couldn't use it properly. Just lifting it was difficult enough.

He was no expert like Alastor after all.

Still, the metal quality was excellent—its weight and sharpness confirmed that.

"Whoosh!"

Raizel threw the spear with full force, aiming directly for the creature's eye.

The spear sliced through the air, producing a sharp whooshing sound, a chilling reminder of the damage it could inflict.

"Puchi!"

The damage was overwhelming.

The spear pierced through the giant's left eye and skull, driving deep into its head.

"Thud!"

Instantly, the red giant collapsed to the ground, unmoving, as if its brain signals had been cut off completely.

Raizel exhaled in relief, then carefully pried the spear from the giant's skull with some effort.

As the body disintegrated, a notification flashed in the corner of his vision.

"At least it gives experience points," he murmured, a little pleased.

He glanced around, waiting for what came next.

Then, the announcement arrived.

< Wave 1 Cleared. Wave 2 is Starting Shortly >

That meant he had a brief moment to recover his stamina.

Realizing this, he felt a small sense of relief.

He sat down to rest.

But not even a minute had passed before new monsters emerged once again.

"Seriously?"

This time, two red giants stood before him—mirror images of each other, standing in opposition.

Raizel clicked his tongue in frustration as he quickly assessed the situation. One red giant had been challenging enough, but now there were two. He tightened his grip on the spear, his mind racing for a strategy.

"Two of them… That means double the danger."

The giants moved almost simultaneously, lifting their massive hammers. Their crimson eyes locked onto him, filled with primal rage. Raizel knew that if they struck him even once, his body wouldn't withstand the impact.

"I need to be faster this time."

The giants roared in unison before slamming their hammers down toward him.

BOOM!

The ground trembled as dust and debris shot into the air, but Raizel had already leaped away. His heightened agility allowed him to move at blinding speeds, narrowly avoiding the devastating blows.

"Can't waste time playing around."

Raizel dashed toward the giant on the right. Instead of going for its eye immediately, he aimed for its wrist—the one gripping the hammer. If he could weaken its grip, it would lose its weapon.

He lunged forward, thrusting his spear with precision.

CLANG!

The attack connected, but instead of cutting through, it merely scratched the thick, calloused skin.

"Shit, too tough."

The giant roared in irritation and swung its arm to swat him away. Raizel barely managed to duck in time, the sheer force of the attack sending a gust of wind past his face.

At that moment, the second giant charged from behind, its hammer raised high.

Raizel's instincts screamed at him. Without thinking, he rolled to the side just as the hammer came crashing down.

BOOM!

The impact sent a shockwave through the ground, making Raizel stumble as he tried to regain his footing.

"This is bad. Fighting one was already hard, but two at once?"

He needed a new plan.

Then, an idea struck him.

He looked at the first giant's leg—the same spot where he'd previously attacked the last one. It wasn't a fatal weakness, but it was still a weakness. If he could damage their legs enough, he could limit their movement and create an opening for a finishing blow.

Raizel steadied his breathing and prepared himself.

"This is going to be tricky."

Both giants roared again, their attacks synchronized as they rushed him from both sides.

Raizel sprinted toward the right giant, using its own movement against it. Just before the hammer could crush him, he leaped into the air, kicking off its chest to propel himself backward.

In mid-air, he flipped his grip on the spear and hurled it downward with all his might.

Whoosh—Puchi!

The spear drove into the back of the giant's knee.

The monster let out an agonized roar as it staggered, losing balance.

"Yes!"

Without wasting a second, Raizel dashed toward his fallen spear and yanked it free.

The injured giant tried to turn, but its movement had slowed significantly.

The second giant, however, was still at full strength and charging toward Raizel with terrifying speed.

Raizel's eyes sharpened.

"I need to do this right..."

He ran straight toward the second giant, closing the distance between them in seconds.

Then, at the last moment, he jumped high.

The second giant, unable to stop its momentum, crashed straight into the first giant.

THUD!

Both creatures toppled over, momentarily stunned.

"This is my chance!"

Raizel didn't hesitate. He gripped his spear tightly and ran straight for the fallen giants, aiming for their vulnerable eyes.

With a powerful thrust—

Puchi!

The first spear struck home, piercing the right giant's eye.

Before the second could react—

Puchi!

He drove the spear into the other's eye, pushing with all his might.

"Die!"

The monsters let out deafening, dying roars before their massive bodies shuddered and fell completely still.

As their bodies vanished into crimson mist, Raizel collapsed to one knee, panting.

"That was way too close."

Then, the next announcement echoed through the cave.

< Wave 2 Cleared. Wave 3 is Starting Shortly. >

Raizel groaned. "Are you kidding me?"
