Supreme Game: Antimagic Apocalypse

Chapter 77: Day and Night

When Raizel returned to the real world, it was already night.

He stood in the garden and changed into more comfortable clothes.

With that done, Raizel walked up to the main door of their new residence, which opened with a soft click—as if it recognized him.

The first thing he saw inside was his family sitting at the dining table, just about to start eating.

Their eyes lit up as soon as they spotted Raizel entering through the door.

"Rai, welcome back! Do you want to have dinner right now, or take a shower first?"

Raizel smiled as he pulled out a chair. "I'd love to have dinner with you all. The shower can wait."

Robert and Marianne looked pleased at this, while Ruby leaned in slightly, sniffing the air, already sensing a familiar foul scent coming from her brother beside her.

But this time, the scent was thick and metallic.

Ruby's brows furrowed in confusion. She couldn't quite recognize it as the dried blood of humans.

So, the warm, hearty meal continued, filled with the gentle clinks of spoons and knives, even though they still weren't fully used to such utensils.

Surprisingly, Raizel was using them like a pro, as if he'd been doing it his entire life.

After a few bites, Ruby looked up and asked, "Big brother, when are you going to admit me to a school? I don't want to just laze around the house. I want to be a player like you too," she said with a pout.

Raizel paused momentarily, then answered, "Well, I don't know any places yet. Let me ask around tomorrow when I check in at the Apex Guild."

"Oh, that's good to hear," Ruby said in relief.

Raizel then turned to his parents and asked,

"Father, Mother, did you get familiar with the neighbors and other facilities in the community?"

Robert and Marianne looked slightly awkward as they responded.

"Yes, we sort of did, Rai. When we went grocery shopping, it felt like a whole new world opened up before our eyes. Everything was so expensive, so luxurious that we could barely afford a few groceries with the $10,000 you left us," his mother said.

His father added, "And Rai, we still have to pay what we owe the previous landlord. With everything happening so fast back then, we nearly forgot."

Raizel frowned for a moment, but his smile was reassuring.

"Don't worry. I'll get the money tomorrow. You two just need to enjoy your retirement in peace."

"Hehe… Rascal… Do you really think we're that old? And if you really want us to enjoy retirement, give us a grandchild to play with," his mother said with a faint smile.

"Ooh, sister-in-law! I want a sister-in-law, big brother!" Ruby said, acting all excited like a child.

Raizel paused mid-bite, looking completely speechless.

After swallowing his food, he replied exasperatedly, "Come on, how old am I? When the time comes, everything will fall into place naturally."

"Yes, we know, you're 18 years old, son. And that's enough," Marianne said playfully.

Raizel just sighed and continued eating.

His parents and sister didn't press further, knowing they had teased him enough for now.

After dinner, Raizel went up to his room on the second floor, where the Teleportation Node was set up.

Ruby's room was just besind his.

He lay down on the soft mattress to rest for a while. He needed a bit of sleep after the exhausting journey he had gone through in the game.

Forgetting all his worries and stress, he drifted into a deep sleep.

Time passed, accompanied by the ticking sound of the clock on the wall.

Just past midnight, Raizel woke up to the sound of his alarm clock.

He casually turned it off and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

His body felt tired, his eyelids heavy with sleep.

But he had to log into the game again.

Sometimes, the confusing time difference between the Real World and the Game World could be really frustrating.

His life felt like it had truly turned upside down, often leaving him more confused than ever.

He needed to find a proper routine—something to balance both worlds.

Otherwise, if he didn't die from monsters, he'd definitely die from exhaustion.

Tomorrow, he decided, he would ask around the guild about how they managed their schedules. He might learn something useful from them.

After freshening up, he looked at his reflection in the mirror and changed into a red and black combat outfit—something that resembled military gear, ready for battle.

Plop!

He arrived inside his rented room at the tavern.

Only then did it hit him—he didn't actually need this room. If he ever wanted to rest, he could just log out.

But then again, without it, he'd be just a wandering player with no proper identity or place to belong.

"Knock! Knock!"

He directly knocked on the door of Lam's room.

"Creak!"

"Sir... You're here. Should I get ready?" She opened the door and asked.

"Yes, come downstairs quickly," he said calmly before heading down the stairs.

She watched his back for a moment, then turned and entered her room.

Downstairs

Raizel found the tavern much livelier than it had been in the morning.

The main hall was filled with people drinking, eating, and laughing. The air buzzed with warmth and chatter.

Several eyes turned toward him, casting curious glances at his striking outfit and refined appearance.

Dressed in a sharp red-and-black combat uniform and with his silver-white hair, he gave off the aura of someone from high-ranking nobility.

But he was clearly just a young man, which only deepened their curiosity.

Which noble family's young master would choose to stay at a simple tavern like this?

None of them dared to voice their questions aloud, continuing with their food and conversation instead.

"Hey, I heard a white-haired youth took down an entire bandit gang by himself. Could it be him?" a middle-aged man with the look of a seasoned adventurer whispered to his tablemate.

"Yeah, now that I think about it, he does match the description... but he looks so weak and delicate," a burly man replied, gulping down wine from a large jar.

"Why? You think all powerful people have to be muscleheads like you?" another man chuckled from a nearby table, earning a round of laughter.

Meanwhile, Raizel quietly took a seat at the bar counter, directly across from the tavern cook, Bromak.

The bearded man sat behind the counter with a faint smile, silently observing Raizel's presence like someone who already knew his value.
