Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 681: The Pervert

The woman stood still, even though a scorching sun blazed overhead, she felt an icy chill in her limbs.

Those who had been watching the commotion saw there was no more excitement to be had, and dispersed.

This event began with an absurd reason and ended in an absurdly chaotic result. As people walked away, they discussed what had happened with their companions.

Yu Xia walked beside Xu Ke. Under the blazing sun, she inexplicably turned back for a glance at the woman they had tossed behind them, now standing alone, deserted. With satisfaction, Yu Xia turned her head back.

The Furong Garden seemed vast, but in reality, it didn't take long to walk through. The three of them found a pond there, shaded from the sunlight, one of the rare cool spots outside the buildings in the garden.

Originally, they were happy to find such a place, but with several painful and itchy welts quickly appearing on their bodies, they retreated from the pond's vicinity, again exposing themselves to the sunlight.

After an entire day under the blazing sun, even though they held umbrellas, the sunlight still managed to penetrate the special fabric, falling on them, leaving large swathes of orange-red on their skin. They looked like children who had spilled a can of paint.

Although the pond was right in front of them, they didn't take another step forward.

Lin Mengyao gazed at the pond with eyes full of longing and envy, caught squarely by Xu Ke.

"Do you like this place a lot? Do you want to go in again?" Xu Ke asked hesitantly, scratching the bumps on his arm with restraint.

Lin Mengyao glanced at Xu Ke's arm, on which there was a cross-shaped mark from his unconscious pinching.

Lin Mengyao couldn't help but laugh, "No, I don't really like that place. I just liked that it was cool, but there were too many mosquitoes inside, I don't want to go in and donate blood." As she spoke, she unconsciously scratched the mosquito welts on the back of her hand, which also had a cross-shaped mark from her unconscious pinches.

Outwardly, the three of them seemed normal, but privately, they left cross-shaped marks on their bodies. Yu Xia was the first to notice their unconscious little habits, and all three of them exchanged smiles as they looked at the marks on their bodies.

They stayed in the Furong Garden for the whole day, lingering until the garden was illuminated with lights.

One must admit, compared to the daytime, Furong Garden at night had a unique charm. However, unfortunately, the garden closed early. Just as they hadn't been there for long, it was almost closing time, so they left again.

While the three were outside enjoying themselves, back at the hotel, someone from the outside opened Yu Xia's room door. A slender but not very tall figure slipped inside.

He didn't turn on the light, yet he accurately avoided every obstacle, like he had night vision.

The man's figure paused at the bedroom door, where his breathing suddenly quickened, and his outstretched hand trembled slightly. With a reverent attitude, he pushed open Yu Xia's bedroom door and walked in.

Even though all hotel rooms were similar, carrying similar scents, the man felt that Yu Xia's room smelled different from others. The scent in the air made him close his eyes comfortably, blood boiling as if Yu Xia were right beside him.

He slowly moved onto Yu Xia's bed, with unnatural flush on his face. He buried his head in Yu Xia's pillow, trembling with excessive excitement.

His actions resembled those of a deranged pervert.

In the room, the man prowled like a dog, inspecting every inch of Yu Xia's room. He even opened her wardrobe, taking out her clothes to smell, each sniff deepening his breath.

Meanwhile, Yu Xia went wild outside, initially concerned about what had happened at the hotel yesterday, but those unpleasant memories gradually faded. She even, unusually, took a bunch of food back to the hotel.

"Don't eat too much tonight, just taste it. If you like it, we can go eat early tomorrow. Don't overload yourself, okay? Alright, let's go to sleep. Remember to apply some soothing cream, or your skin will hurt tomorrow morning," Lin Mengyao said, patting Yu Xia's flushed cheek.

"I got it, sister. You and brother-in-law should also go back to your room. I remember what you said, don't worry, I won't forget," Yu Xia replied softly to Lin Mengyao.

Once Lin Mengyao and Xu Ke entered the room next door, Yu Xia retracted her smile, took a deep breath, and entered her own room.

Yu Xia first carefully inspected the entire living room, finding no signs of anyone having been there, rather than feeling relieved, her anxiety intensified.

She didn't believe that the person who succeeded yesterday would let it go so easily, only coming for one night and then never returning. However, the living room indeed showed no signs of intrusion, nor did she catch the jasmine scent from yesterday.

Yu Xia's gaze fell on her bedroom door, clutching a seemingly ordinary short hairpin in her hand.

When Yu Xia finally reached the bedroom door, her heart skipped a beat. Before leaving she had placed a fine strand of hair on the threshold, but now it was gone, nowhere to be found.

Yet the fate of the hair wasn't the point; the point was that person had indeed come again. Yu Xia rubbed the short hairpin with her forefinger, pressing its tip over and over, causing a slight pain.

Yu Xia stood outside the room, not entering, and the man hid inside without leaving. In the large room, both made their breaths as soft as possible, though heartbeat control was impossible. Fortunately, they were far enough from each other not to hear their heartbeats.

Standing outside the door, Yu Xia licked her lips. Her heart was afraid, but she couldn't afford fear. Until she confirmed who that person was, man or woman, and their intention, Yu Xia couldn't be afraid. She continually bolstered herself psychologically, finally shutting her eyes and forcefully opening the door.

With just a quick look inside, Yu Xia's pupils shrank; the bed she had left neatly in the morning was now suddenly full of creases. It was obvious what the other person had done.

Before Yu Xia could decide what to do next, the annoying jasmine scent successfully ambushed her again.

Yu Xia closed her eyes as her body homed in on the source, just like the previous night, until an arm extended from the side, wrapping around her waist, preventing her from hitting the ground.
