Seven Beautiful Goddesses Want Me, But I Just Want My Revenge

Chapter 105: Ava the Goddess of Greed...

"More..." she breathed, her voice rich with desire.

Adrian, sensing her power, moved closer to the sarcophagus and offered her the goblet full of coins. Without hesitation, she reached out, her long fingers brushing against the treasure.

The moment her hand made contact with the gold, a ripple of energy surged through the room, and the treasure around them seemed to glow brighter.

Ava's eyes fluttered shut again, a shudder running through her body as she clutched the goblet to her chest. "So much gold," she murmured, her voice filled with a deep, insatiable hunger.

Adrian watched her, both fascinated and wary of the power she radiated. He had heard the way Medea and Lilith spoke of the goddess of Greed, of how her desire for wealth was all-consuming.

And now, as he stood before her, he could feel the weight of that greed, pulling at him, tempting him.

Ava's eyes snapped open, and she turned her gaze to Adrian, her golden irises glowing with intensity. "You've awakened me, mortal," she said, her voice smooth and commanding. "And for that, I owe you a debt."

Adrian tensed, unsure of what she meant by "debt." The last thing he needed was to owe favours to the goddess of Greed.

Ava seemed to sense his hesitation and smiled—a smile that was both alluring and dangerous. She leaned forward slightly, her eyes never leaving his. "You've given me what I desire most," she purred, her fingers trailing over the coins in her hands. "And now, I shall grant you what you seek."

Adrian's mind raced, trying to anticipate what her offer might entail. "I'm not looking for gold," he said firmly, keeping his voice steady.

Ava chuckled, the sound low and sultry. "Gold is only the beginning," she replied, her gaze sharp. "Tell me, mortal... what is it that you truly desire?"

Adrian's resolve hardened. "I want your powers, just as you promised," he said firmly despite the intense energy radiating from her. "I need them to get my revenge."

Ava's playful demeanour faltered for a moment, her golden eyes narrowing in confusion. She tilted her head slightly, as if trying to understand his words. It was as though the concept of someone wanting anything other than wealth was foreign to her.

Then, suddenly, recognition sparked in her gaze, memories flooding back.

"I remember you now, mortal," she said, her tone shifting. "Adrian, right?"

Adrian nodded, unsure of where this was going. "Yeah."

Ava smirked, a hint of mischief returning to her lips. "Took you long enough."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, amused. "You've been asleep for centuries, and you're giving me a hard time?"

The goddess chuckled softly, a sound like the gentle clinking of coins. "Fair enough. Where's Medea and Lilith? I expected them to barge in here with you."

"They're waiting outside," Adrian replied. "Something about them not being allowed in the domain of another goddess."

"Of course," Ava said with a nod. "They wouldn't dare. This is my realm." She swept her arms wide, gesturing to the piles of treasure around them. "All of this, it's mine. Mine and mine alone."

Adrian watched as she moved gracefully through the treasure-filled room, her bare feet barely making a sound as they crossed the cold stone floor. She bent down to scoop up a handful of coins, letting them fall through her fingers like raindrops.

A smile of pure greed spread across her face as she admired the wealth.

Her long golden hair, which had been dull when she awoke, now glowed brilliantly, and her skin, which was once pale, now glowed with vitality.

Adrian couldn't help but admire the way her body moved—her perky breasts, slender waist, and the curve of her very round, perfectly shaped backside. What she lacked in chest size, she more than made up for with her large, round ass.

But Adrian wasn't here to admire her beauty. He had a mission, and Ava's distraction with her treasure wasn't helping.

"So...?" he called, trying to snap her out of her trance. "We aren't staying here forever."

Ava didn't even glance at him at first, her eyes still fixed on the coins in her hands. "Yeah, yeah…" she said absently, letting the gold cascade through her fingers like water. "I know. I'm just taking my time to admire them. It's been too long since I've seen such wealth. Don't know how long it'll be until I return here."

Adrian sighed, his patience thinning, but he kept his tone steady. "Take your time," he said, knowing there wasn't much he could do to rush her. He wasn't exactly eager to face her wrath if she felt hurried.

After a few more moments, Ava finally turned her full attention to him. Adrian could feel her strong power moving through the room as her eyes, which were now shining with a new golden light, locked on his. "Alright," she said smoothly. "Back to business."

As she stood before him, Adrian couldn't help but notice how much stronger she looked.

Her hair shone brighter, her amber eyes sparkled with life, and her skin glowed with a healthy radiance. She was no longer the pale, dormant goddess from before—now, she looked every bit the powerful deity of Greed.

Adrian straightened, watching her closely.

Ava's playful demeanor slipped away, replaced by a look of serious intent. "For every deal, there's a documentation to ensure both parties—you and I, in this case—are compliant."

"The contract," Adrian said, already familiar with the process from his previous encounters with Lilith and Medea.

Ava smiled, a cold, calculating gleam in her eyes. "Yes, the contract." She stretched out her hand, and a golden light began to swirl around her fingers, slowly forming into a shimmering scroll. With a flick of her wrist, she extended it toward Adrian. "Here."

Adrian took the scroll, feeling the weight of the golden parchment in his hands. It was inscribed with elegant, swirling symbols that seemed to pulse with a life of their own. He unrolled it carefully, his eyes scanning the intricate text.

He skipped the terms and went straight to the signature required, his eyes widening as he read the phrase over and over again.
