Grand Voyage: I Start My Journey With A Ghost Ship!

chapter 115

After Yang Yi unleashed his spell, every Ice Nest cultist within a hundred meters of him ignited, turning into human torches that screamed in agony.“AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!”“Chaotic flames!!”“No—!!!”Firelight roared to the sky, burning away the white mist.Suna’s crimson eyes widened. She couldn’t look away from the sea of fire before her.The burning cultists began frantically slapping at their own bodies, thrashing, rolling on the ground—anything to extinguish the flames devouring them. But in the blazing heat, their motions grew faster, almost graceful—like a grotesque dance of frenzy and ecstasy.[Joyful Inferno – Sanity -20]“So beautiful…” Suna murmured. But when she realized the man burning at the center of it all was Yang Yi, her ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) trance shattered—worry flickered across her face. The screams soon weakened.Because these flames could not be extinguished. Even if they leapt into the ocean, the fire would not die.Unless the flames on Yang Yi himself went out—or burned him to ash—this inferno would never end.It was a contest now.A contest of endurance—who could burn the longest. Before long, the first one fell. His body stopped moving mid-roll, the flames on him dimming to a quiet, steady burn. Then the second. The third…The Ice Nest cultists were dying in droves.Suna stopped throwing incendiary bombs; there was no point anymore. Her little sparks meant nothing now.At that moment, the worm-hand cannon in her grip reached its limit. After devouring the corpses of countless Ice Nest worms and cultists, its middle segment had swollen to six meters thick—until a crisp crack split the air. The pale worm burst into two halves, frozen stiff and broken apart, its innards spilling out like a mound of flesh.Meanwhile—Yang Yi felt incredible. His blood boiled. His fat danced. Every cell in his body trembled in exultation.[Ecstasy of Immolation – Sanity -10][Your Lycanthropy has been cured by high temperature][You take burn damage; HP continuously decreasing…]When Yang Yi came to his senses, the cultists around him were all dead.He looked up at the distant Crystal Giant and grinned savagely, gripping his broken blade in both hands as he charged forward. After evolving his lycanthropy to Transcendence, his stats had skyrocketed—his speed was now terrifying.Through the thick smoke, his figure was just a red meteor wrapped in fire and shadow, unstoppable and blazing forward. As he moved, the range of the flames expanded, igniting any cultist nearby—dragging them into the grand festival of fire.“What an utterly insane lunatic!!”The Crystal Giant cursed, flinging aside the severed head it had been holding and barreled toward Yang Yi.But as soon as it entered within a hundred meters—It ignited too.The flames illuminated the creature from within, revealing shattered limbs and organs embedded inside—very likely remnants of the old man.The frost radiating from its body fought back against the heat, but couldn’t extinguish it; the fire merely dimmed slightly. The two clashed again.Yang Yi transformed into a werewolf, now standing three meters tall—an entirely different being. He leapt high, bringing his sword down in a massive arc aimed at the giant’s thigh. The blade hadn’t even hit yet, but the pressure alone was terrifying. His base Strength had reached 10, his right arm alone at 13!The Crystal Giant barely managed to block the strike. Its left hand shattered, spiderweb cracks spreading fast. And under the intense heat, its surface began to melt, rivulets of liquefied crystal dripping down. That pain seemed to link to the distant crystal egg where the old man’s head was sealed—the head screamed as though being burned itself. The giant threw a punch. Yang Yi dodged easily using his Third Eye, ducking low beneath it.His Third Eye was extraordinary—unaffected even while burning. The gel-like orbs boiled, bubbling madly, but still functioned perfectly.Yang Yi countered with a diagonal slash—Crack!A sharp shatter, crystal shards spraying through the air.The Crystal Giant’s right arm was severed cleanly.Even Yang Yi was startled. It felt weaker—more brittle—than before! But before he could think, the giant kicked.Yang Yi blocked with his broken blade, but the impact sent him flying several meters. Before he hit the ground, another punch struck him, launching him again. The ice beneath them had begun to melt from the heat, puddles forming everywhere—they were now fighting on a steaming wetland.Yang Yi tumbled across the melting glacier, hissing steam rising from his body. But he was hardly hurt; both blows had been blocked. And he had noticed the giant’s weakness—It feared heat. The higher the temperature, the softer its body became.[HP below 10 – You reject death. All stats +2 except Mind -2]The prompt flashed before his eyes. Yang Yi grinned—and charged again. This time even faster, a firestorm surging from the puddles, reaching the giant in a blink. The giant couldn’t react. One upward slash—Its long legs snapped, and it crashed to the ground. The old man’s head inside the ice egg screamed again, agony echoing through the mist. But the worst was yet to come.Yang Yi raised his glowing red blade—the broken iron now searing hot—and brought it down.Once, twice, three times—He hammered relentlessly until the Crystal Giant became nothing more than a mound of molten, cracked fragments, unable to move. Then Yang Yi looked up—The ice egg containing the old man’s head was fleeing. It had sprouted several insect-like legs, scuttling away frantically from Yang Yi’s infernal heat. But how could it possibly escape him?“No… no, stay away! Don’t burn! Don’t!!”The distance closed fast. The old man’s head was raving now, babbling in terror.Logically, Yang Yi’s heat should have melted straight through the glacier—but strangely, he kept running.Because under his feet, the melting ice had changed—Wherever he stepped, the ground hardened into charred, cracked soil, keeping him from sinking.“No! NOOO!!”With a final shriek, the fleeing head caught fire, rolling and twisting wildly on the ice. When Yang Yi reached it, it had stopped moving.Apparently, it couldn’t endure the flames—nor understand the joy of burning.Yang Yi picked it up.“AAAAHHHHH!!”The heat from his body reignited the head, making it shriek horribly.“You demon! You’ll burn too! Only the cold embraces all equally—only frost can bless all life—”“Bless?”“BLESS?”“BLESS?!”Yang Yi slammed the head to the ground with each word—Over and over—until it burst apart into a pile of burning pulp.“Did you feel my blessing yet?”No answer. But surely—it had.
