The Incubus System Chapter 819. Gluttony King III
That was good news. Beel had temporarily halted his destructive rampage, thanks to the invisible grip of my Telekinesis. But the real question loomed in my mind: how on earth could I reach his core and put an end to this madness?
Beel's gelatinous body was a formidable defense. His regeneration skill was a constant thorn in my side. Any damage I inflicted on his outer layers was quickly repaired, as if he were mocking my efforts. I had to think outside the box, or in this case, outside the gelatinous mass that shrouded his core.
Having ensured that the hosts were safely away from the battlefield, I decided to employ a devastating move that was usually my last resort due to its destructive nature. But with Beel's power and unpredictability, desperate times called for desperate measures.
I unleashed my Hell Inferno.
A torrent of infernal flames erupted from my being, cascading upon Beel. The intense heat and roaring flames threatened to engulf him and, hopefully, penetrate his gelatinous defense.
The intense inferno raged on, unabated by Beel's struggles. With my Telekinesis firmly holding him in place, there was no escape from the relentless blaze that had consumed his lower half. The demonic flames danced around him, licking at his gelatinous form and charring his monstrous body.
It began to engulf more and more of Beel's grotesque frame. His pained roars filled the air, reverberating through the war-torn city. The acrid scent of burning flesh and the sizzling sound of the flames met our senses, creating a gruesome symphony of destruction.
Beel's agonized struggle reached a deafening crescendo as the inferno bore down on him. His monstrous form convulsed and writhed. He roared in torment, the anguished sound echoing through the war-ravaged city.
The fire pillars, hot as the heart of a volcano, struck Beel's body with unrelenting fury. His gelatinous flesh, once a formidable defense, now served as kindling for the blistering flames.
The sky above grew darker as plumes of thick, black smoke billowed into the heavens. The cacophony of the flames, Beel's wretched cries, and the roaring destruction created an atmosphere of pure chaos and impending doom. The heat radiated from the epicenter of the blaze was palpable even from my position.
Despite the physical strain on my body and the sheer intensity of the battle, I gritted my teeth and pressed on. Both of my arms remained outstretched, my Telekinesis holding Beel in the merciless grip of the inferno. It was a relentless tug-of-war between our powers, and every second felt like an eternity.
Yet… The announcement showed something disappointing. The numbers were discouragingly low.
[You have burned Beel by 15 HP]
[You have burned Beel by 25 HP]
[You have burned Beel by 16 HP]
'This is so messed up!' I couldn't help but think. Each number that flashed before me seemed pitifully small compared to Beel. His regeneration skill was a nightmare, mending his grotesque form almost as quickly as I could inflict harm. It was becoming clear that if I continued down this path, I'd be the one who ended up on the losing side of this catastrophic battle. I had to change my approach, and fast.
I canceled my Telekinesis grip on Beel's body, aware that I couldn't afford to waste another second. With his core exposed and my demonic form amplifying my strength, I seized the opportunity to escape my original position. I teleported a significant distance away just as I had anticipated, my movements swift and decisive.
Beel, in his frenzied state, didn't hesitate. He unleashed a barrage of acidic orbs, each one the size of a small bus hurtling through the air with deadly intent. The sheer size and destructive potential of these orbs were enough to melt through entire buildings, reducing them to smoldering rubble. It was a terrifying sight, and I knew that a direct hit from one of these projectiles would be nothing short of fatal.
I reappeared right in front of Beel, my hand poised to thrust my sword into what I could only assume was his eye, or some semblance of it within his formless form. With uncanny precision, I drove the blade forward, the inky blackness of my demonic energy enhancing the force of my strike.
The sword pierced through Beel's grotesque eye, and he let out a deafening howl of torment. It was the most significant damage I had inflicted on him thus far, and it felt like a small victory in the midst of this chaotic battle.
[You have pierced Beel by 116 HP]
Despite the damage I had dealt, I couldn't shake the feeling of frustration that gnawed at me. I had wielded my Demonic Energy, coupled with my blade, to deliver what should have been a devastating blow. And yet, it seemed like a drop in the ocean compared to Beel's seemingly inexhaustible resilience.
He let out a deafening roar that echoed through the chaos-ridden city. His violent rampage had intensified, fueled by the damage I had inflicted upon him. It was clear that he was far from defeated, and his wrath was palpable.
"Curse you, Damon's child! Curse you!" Beel's voice reverberated with rage as he shook his grotesque form. His movements were erratic, his amorphous limbs whipping in all directions, including toward me.
I knew I had to act quickly. Beel's tentacle-like appendages were thrashing wildly, and I had to avoid being ensnared by them. I pulled my sword, intent on removing it from his wounded eye, but his gelatinous body seemed to cling to the blade with an unnatural grip.
Frustration welled up within me as I realized I couldn't retrieve my weapon. Clicking my tongue in annoyance, I made a quick decision. I activated my teleportation skill, leaving my sword embedded in Beel's eye. It was a risky move, but I had no other choice at that moment.
