Gene Fusion System: Crime Hunter

Chapter 204: When 4 People Travel Together There Must Be Secrets

"Team leader, I admit defeat."

Listening to Luo Fei's account of the operation process discovered and reasoned out by the other party, He Xin gave a thumbs-up, but his face was full of helplessness.

Zhang Wei sat there with his hand covering his face, silent, as if he was about to vomit.

"This is the current situation; if I'm not mistaken, the perpetrator is not a strong person but someone skilled and adept at using this method of slaughtering and extracting."

"Lin Jie, tell us the information you gathered from Administrator Aunt Tang, maybe we can analyze and find some useful clues."

"Alright."

Then Lin Jie took out the transcript of the morning's investigation dialogue.

"Aunt Tang is fifty years old and has been the administrator here for eleven years. In these eleven years, not a single incident has occurred, not even an accident; everything has been normal. She is kind-hearted and never has conflicts with others."

"Due to the drag marks on the faces of the three dead, it's hard to recognize them, so Aunt Tang can't be sure if she knows them."

"According to Aunt Tang, she didn't notice anything abnormal at first because she was delayed due to ticket issues."

At this point, Luo Fei's expression subtly changed.

Trusting his intuition, he felt something was amiss.

An unexpected incident might happen next.

If Aunt Tang's words are false, then it's clear that she's involved in the matter, even if there's no black aura around her, proving she's partially knowledgeable about it.

After all, anyone would be left with a psychological shadow from such a scene at the crime scene.

But when he observed Aunt Tang today, she merely seemed frightened.

It wasn't the fear born from the heart; he didn't detect any panic or confusion in her demeanor. The subtle expressions could serve as a reference.

"After she checked and found no issues, she started the Pirate ship's warm-up, and about a minute later, the ship began to move. Since the amplitude increased gradually, no one noticed the problem under the ship before the blood was officially flung out."

Lin Jie paused here; the subsequent events were already documented in the morning's statement report and investigation summary.

"Are you saying from the time Aunt Tang finished checking to when the tourists noticed the three corpses, it was only a short while?"

He Xin sharply sensed something was wrong.

"Exactly, from a time perspective, it took only about five minutes."

"Five minutes should be enough, right..."

Once He Xin got the response, he no longer dwelled on it.

Based on the timeline, it seems plausible to quickly run up during visual blind spots and hang the bodies with the fast speed.

Plus, there was the backdrop of seawater, making the front view completely obscured. As long as the side view was clear, it was entirely achievable!

However, Luo Fei's expression was stern at this moment.

Because he realized instantly that the other party was lying; though it was a minor detail, it was enough to crack the flaw in the statement.

The Pirate ship started swinging after a minute, discovered at five minutes.

It seems there's four minutes to utilize, but it isn't the case.

If one-minute gap is sufficient, Luo Fei has no argument, but no normal person can stabilize hanging three spines with heads under the Pirate ship in sixty seconds.

At least Luo Fei can't figure out if the other party can achieve it.

As for the supposed five minutes, it's unrealistic; the discovery was due to the flinging of corpse fragments, drawing attention with the blood.

In the remaining four minutes, the ship was swinging, making stable operations impossible.

In reality, it was just one minute.

Can anything be accomplished in that minute? Luo Fei believes not.

Thus, based on objective facts, his reasoning at least proves Aunt Tang's involvement. If she intentionally said this, it proves two points.

Either she's informed and chose to conceal and deceive the police.

Or she was also deceived by a sleight of hand, unknowingly.

"Leader Luo, the investigation results are out."

At this moment, a figure suddenly appeared at the office door.

It was Xiaocheng, who had gone earlier to organize the data and investigate the identities of the three deceased; the intelligence department promptly updated the information and delivered it.

Seeing Xiaocheng appear, Luo Fei was very happy.

No one could sleep tonight, night yet young!

But in this situation, having companions to fight alongside them is the power of teamwork.

"Zhang Wei, make a call, order some late-night snacks, I'm treating!"

"Since we have company tonight, we'll see this through to the end. This case might be more severe than you think, so we must solve it immediately. If it drags on and causes adverse reactions, it'll be hard for us to handle!"

Luo Fei approached Xiaocheng and patted the other's shoulder.

"Thank you."

"Leader Luo, that's nothing; I just thought to bring out the details as soon as possible. As soon as the forensic and facial recognition results came out, I arrived. You all haven't rested, so I'm also willing."

The five then gathered around, eating while discussing the clues at hand.

"Leader Luo, according to the investigation results, these three girls are current high school students from our city's Third Middle School - Li Nan, Shi Qingqing, and Tang Rujuan. Their families haven't been informed of their deaths yet."
