The Exorcism Began in America.

Chapter 302 The Person Behind the Scenes

In Monte's eyes, a shape in the sky resembling a bird was rapidly enlarging, clearly closing in on them at high speed.

"Fuck, is that an airplane?"

It wasn't until the aircraft drew closer that Monte recognized it wasn't some bird, but a massive passenger plane. Moreover, judging by its trajectory, it was clearly diving straight for them.

"Mr. Chu Feng, shouldn't we get going?" Monte's trembling voice reached Chu Feng's ears, making Chu Feng look at the young man in a new light.

At least he hadn't just bolted.

"Do you remember what I just said? Running away is useless now; this 'iron bird' clearly has some kind of 'guidance system'."

"Then what should we do?"

Monte glanced at the increasingly large airplane in the sky, then at Chu Feng beside him. The corner of his mouth twitched, and he instinctively wanted to get away from there. Go up against such a massive plane? That was a joke; he only had this one life!

"Walk away?" With Chu Feng's soft shout, an invisible force instantly pinned Monte in place again.

He could only watch, wide-eyed, as the plane, which seemed to have a targeting system, hurtled closer. He could even clearly see the partially deployed landing gear on its underside.

"Let me go, quickly..."

Under immense pressure, Monte shut his eyes tightly, waiting for the inevitable.

As the plane drew nearer, its speed increased. Instantly, they could feel the powerful downdraft. Perhaps in the next second, a deafening explosion would claim their lives.

Just at this critical moment, a rainbow light flashed, and Monte, who had already closed his eyes to await death, vanished without a trace.

BOOM!

A violent explosion, at least ten times more powerful than any before, suddenly erupted. The blast sent violent tremors and shockwaves through the area, shattering all the glass in nearby buildings. The walls of the two closest buildings even showed clear cracks.

"I... I'm not dead!" Monte's trembling voice resonated in the air, filled with the sheer joy of his narrow escape.

Chu Feng's gaze, however, turned towards the increasingly visible transparent 'thread' above the young man's head.

This is it!

As Monte once again escaped what seemed like certain death, the change in the unknown force within him unfolded precisely as Chu Feng had predicted. In mere moments, it had doubled in strength. Multiple quantitative changes had led to a final qualitative one; the extremely faint transparent 'thread' finally appeared in his perception.

My guess was right after all!

It was called a thread, yet it was unlike any ordinary thread. It seemed ethereal, but he could sense a peculiar fluctuation from it.

Following the 'thread' with his gaze, Chu Feng looked into the distance, a flicker of excitement in his eyes.

Found you!

"Mr. Chu Feng, can I not go?" Suspended in mid-air, Monte glanced down at the horrific scene below for only a moment before quickly looking up, his voice trembling as he asked. This was the first time in his life he had ever been at such a height without any protection. If he could, he just wanted to go home right now, lie on his comfortable, albeit not luxurious, bed, and get a good night's sleep.

Chu Feng smiled faintly. "Sorry, but no," he said, his answer striking Monte as exceptionally cruel.

He then took Monte and, transforming into a streak of rainbow light, shot directly towards the source, following the faint 'thread'.

"No~" Only a weak, powerless wail echoed in mid-air.

「...」

A European-style castle, strikingly out of place with its surroundings, stood there. Before it stood a handsome, smiling middle-aged man in a tuxedo, leaning on a gentleman's cane. Nearby lay a pure black diary and an exceptionally exquisite model of a city.

Chu Feng, still suspended in mid-air, narrowed his eyes slightly as he surveyed the scene. It seems the other party was prepared.

The middle-aged man's voice was gentle, carrying a scholarly air. "Mr. Chu Feng, welcome!"

"Welcome?" Chu Feng echoed with a slight smile, gently lowering the limp Monte from mid-air to the ground. He placed the 'bait,' whose task was now complete, aside to rest. Then, he casually tossed out an exquisite Array Plate before slowly walking towards the middle-aged man.

A strange glint flashed in the eyes of the middle-aged man, who had seen everything. "Mr. Chu Feng, you truly are kind, showing such patience even to a weak, ordinary human."

As he spoke, he tapped his gentleman's cane gently on the ground. The next second, a violent ripple appeared in the sky above where Monte lay.

Seeing this, the smile on the middle-aged man's face widened, though his eyes narrowed slightly.

Noticing the other man's insincere grin, Chu Feng raised an eyebrow. The disturbance from the Four Symbols Spirit Trapping Formation registered clearly in his mind. This level of attack is almost at the limit of what the Spirit Trapping Formation can withstand.

"Having fun?" As Chu Feng's indifferent voice fell, a massive Palm Imprint materialized instantly before the middle-aged man.

Sensing the unparalleled Strength contained within the Palm Imprint, the corners of the middle-aged man's eyes twitched, and his figure abruptly vanished.

RUMBLE!

Accompanied by a thunderous roar, a large portion of the ancient castle instantly collapsed. Amidst the swirling dust, the middle-aged man reappeared beside the city model. However, the elegant demeanor he previously wore had vanished without a trace amidst the castle's collapse.

Their first exchange concluded with neither party managing to harm the other. But the middle-aged man, initially all smiles, had lost his earlier composure. He suddenly realized that choosing this as the battlefield might not have been the right decision.

"Mr. Chu Feng, your actions are rather impolite!"

SNAP. With a snap of the middle-aged man's fingers, the largely collapsed castle instantly began to restore itself as if time were flowing backward. In mere moments, the castle stood before them once more, completely restored.

Watching his opponent expend Strength to restore the castle, an inscrutable light flashed in Chu Feng's eyes.

Politeness? Hah.

With a casual wave of his hand, another Palm Imprint suddenly appeared, instantly reducing the newly restored castle to ruins once more.

This unexpected move made the perpetually gentlemanly middle-aged man completely lose his composure.

"You damned insect!"

As the middle-aged man's face reddened with rage, Chu Feng silently used Points to restore his True Yuan to its peak state.

Then he casually gestured towards the distant ruins. "Please, continue!"
