My Bottle Cosmos

Chapter 290 Exchange

When?

The boy suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.

"It's rare to lead a caravan past this ancient ruin, and to witness this scene is simply fortune's favor."

"But, little guy, you all are very low level."

A tall humanoid being emerged, unbelievably a stunningly beautiful woman whose skin was utterly snow-white, even translucently jellyfish-like.

"Your high-energy soul extraction allows you to achieve soul emergence, but the leakage of consciousness waves is severe. There's no need to deliberately probe; the voices in your mind are heard loud and clear."

"Even your shallow consciousness, logical language, daily routines, and your name are all laid bare."

She looked at the pale-faced boy, petrified with fear, and suddenly spoke in a perfectly standard official language of the Black Star Empire:

"Black Star, tell me, where do you come from?"

Black Star opened his mouth wide but couldn't utter a word.

"I see, now I understand."

Though nothing was said, the opposite party seemed to grasp everything. "I see your desire, but you must first come with me to my caravan."

Black Star's consciousness suddenly went black, and he fell into a dormant state.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself on an operating table, his body unrestrained but utterly immobilized.

"Ah, a dwarf, born disabled, yet with an exceptionally developed intellect. The third son of a moderately noble family who rose to power, despised from childhood, yet cunningly orchestrated to rule the entire world."

"Heavy bones, indicating a race born in a gravitational environment, meaning they haven't long entered subspace, not yet evolved with time to adapt."

"One must realize that any species living in subspace for tens of millions of years will gradually adapt to its low gravity and space waves."

"Possessing cold and heat resistance, which is only a protective mechanism of ancient life forms; white blood cells, macrophages... it seems they lived in a very primitive viral planet era."

"It appears that civilization is not to be feared."

"No need to worry, their bodies are so low-level they haven't crossed into the divine level, which requires at least tens of millions of years to achieve."

On the operating table, Black Star looked terrified and trembled, deeply afraid.

Only then did he notice that his body beneath his head had turned into a two-dimensional plane, his skeleton, blood, organs, and vessels unfolding into a vast, flat canvas of flesh and sinew.

Body anatomically flattened?

Black Star's eyeballs trembled wildly with terror.

This is a super application technology of the space domain!!

They even applied it to the medical anatomy field, utilizing this micron-level spatial slicing to form a spatial endoscope?

"Wow, what's up with this guy? Unbelievably unreal!"

A voice exclaimed in surprise, "After reading his memory, his wisdom and talent are simply astonishing! Or one might say, everyone in their civilization possesses a unique quality, so many geniuses emerge."

"Truly found a treasure!"

The woman laughed:

"Figures like this monster-level person can only be matched by a few emperors in our history."

"Given time, he is bound to rise, far beyond the reach of someone like me, yet now he's fallen into my hands."

"Release him from his bindings, put a slave collar on him, I want to marry him, make him my primary spouse."

The woman declared.

Black Star looked dumbfounded.

He was proud.

Orchestrating everything, even that superior civilization hadn't discovered him, maneuvering every step, yet now what use was it?

In reality, a genius who hasn't risen is just a waste!

Even Atabia and Herodotus fell before they could rise, let alone himself.

This is the fate of the reckless.

Days later, after being visited by this ugly woman, Black Star continuously observed from the cosmic spaceship and watched the various space planets along the way.

This civilization is called the Primordial Era.

The Livestock Garden is long past, and this name signifies rebirth.

The entire civilization occupied a frightening 0.3 light-years, having experienced countless divisions and unifications over eras, forming a massive, terrifying expanse of dispersed territory.

And the constant outbreak of war is for one reason only:

Matter.

They have been trapped here too long, and their biggest challenge is: scarcity of materials.

Though they have a vast 0.3 light-year territory.

All their resources, soil, metal, water, are remnants of prehistory.

There hasn't been any material replenishment here for ages.

They lack energy not; energy is ubiquitous in this subspace fragment, with various spatial turbulence and tidal flows enabling the establishment of space power stations.

But they lack matter.

Their civilization is very advanced, and matter is almost conserved. For instance, 100 tons of matter can be recycled innumerable times, still nearly remaining 100 tons, yet it's still scarce. For matter, major forces fight fiercely.

For one's own force, the children born by the populace need matter, building spaceship fleets to defend themselves need matter... everything relies on matter.

Soil, water, metal, everything visible is hard currency!

One day, Black Star approached the woman and asked, "When will you counterattack?"

"There are no divine beings on the other side, no need to fear, no rush either."

The woman's voice came lightly, "This newly opened subspace civilization is still very weak, there's no need to inform the Empire, nor my father."

"Third Miss, we can't..." a hesitant voice emerged.

"Hmph, I'm just a bastard daughter, and this is my chance for ascension."

The woman sneered:

"What kind of father is he? He only cares about his territory, I don't want to marry that idler guy. I'll take our armed caravan guards and covertly infiltrate. If successful, we'll become an entity in the main world, seizing the initiative to herd the entire Empire instead!"

The woman was obviously ambitious.

As long as she can enter the main world, with endless material, she would quickly rise!

Technological civilizations always lack energy and resources.

As soon as they come to the material world of the Endless Planet, she believes she can quickly amass troops, build armies, develop a super Empire, and rise to herding the subspace below!

She will become the new king.

"But be cautious, no frontal assault, secretly infiltrate and attack when they're unprepared, lest they close the subspace entrance." The woman frowned, "We can't repeat the past mistakes, if closed again, who knows when it might open next."

Throughout, lower civilizations have always been at a disadvantage.

Lower civilizations seem to advance a century in one day, very prone to rebellion, and civilization levels appear easily capable of surpassing the superior one.

In fact, once they detect anomalies, they simply flip the table, close the entrance, and trap you forever.

Then they could easily move elsewhere, find a new, farther spot, and herd a new subspace civilization.

You'd be trapped in place, lost in the expansive ocean of space fragments without direction.
