"Good morning~" I greeted, flying through the doorway to settle on my Captain's seat.

Even with that, I wasn't exactly sitting down but just floating an inch above the chair itself.

Surprisingly, this wasn't really tiring and it does feel like I was seated on something solid that was supporting me instead of just empty air.

It's like I have some kind of invisible chair with me but I have no idea how it worked so I didn't think about it.

"Good morning, Mistress," Yumiko greeted me.

Are we reaching the station soon?"

"In the next few hours at our current speed. I'll send a dock request once we drop out of Travel Speeds."

"Morniiiiing~" Amber yawned, walking onto the bridge as well.

She then jerked in surprise when she saw me and that seemed to wake her up.

"How long have you been levitating, Tera?"

I shrugged, "Ever since I woke up? Why?"

"Do you ever feel tired?"

"Do you mean bored of floating around or physically exhausted from levitating myself?"

"I was referring to the latter but I guess I might as well ask about the former too."

I looked down at myself, "Err… I guess I don't feel tired? And I won't say I'm bored since I'm still new to all this so this is still pretty cool for me."

Amber made a noncommittal noise before a grin appeared on her face.

"That means it would be fine for me to do this, right?"

She flew up into the air before depositing herself on my lap, her legs wrapping around my back as she straddled me to nuzzle her face against mine.

"Is this any different from the usual?" I pointed out.

She kissed me, "Mmmm~ We should totally have levitating sex sometime~ Ehehehe~"

Of course…

I kissed her back before asking, "So what are you doing here? We still have a few more hours before we reach that station."

"Oh right, Mara said that there's something she wants to test on you, so she asked if you could--"

An alarm suddenly rang through the bridge, interrupting her.

Yumiko growled, "Interdiction blast, Captain… Pirates."

I frowned, "All the way here? Aren't we pretty close to civilised space?"

"Just far enough that help won't be able to come to our aid in time but close enough for most ship captains to drop their guard."

"Sound the general quarters alarm then."

No sooner had the alarm started ringing throughout my ship, a shockwave hit our ship and we were forced out of our Travel Speed as we switched to normal engines.

Amber jumped off of me to take her place at the map terminal.

"Hmmm~ We have three ships closing in on us, Tera. One B Class and two A Class ships. Should we start shooting them down?"

Yumiko also added, "They're broadcasting a demand for surrender, Mistress."

I was about to give the command to start shooting the automated turrets when an idea popped into my head.

"Yumiko? Accept their demand for surrender and let them board."

Yumiko turned back in surprise, "Mistress?"

I smiled at her and Amber chuckled behind me, "Ehehe~ You are so evil, Tera~ I love it~"

Yumiko understood what I was trying to do immediately and obeyed without a second word.

I got up from my seat and floated out of the bridge to head towards the cargo bay.

I saw Lea heading towards the bridge on my way there but I decided that Amber and Yumiko would be able to explain what was happening to her so I didn't stop myself and headed straight towards the cargo bay.

As I stepped inside the spacious hall, I received a message from Amber on my Codex.

'They're docking with our ship right now.'

I turned to the only free docking hatch since the other one was being used by Drow of Dawn.

I sucked in a breath and checked that my halberd was at my side, just in case I needed it.

The door slowly cycled open and I was met with a group of five mean looking men, all of them with some kind of cybernetic implant that replaced a part of their body.

The guy leading the group smirked when he saw me, "Ha! We hit the jackpot boys! Got ourselves a nice looking lass and all the loot on board too!"

I cleared my throat, "Ahem… I would just like to confirm something… You guys are pirates, correct?"

He smirked, "Are you also dumb? I guess that's why it was so easy to rob you. Hey, hurry up and get over here, our cocks aren't going to suck themselves!"

I tilted my head at him, "Don't you think we surrendered a little too easily? I mean… You did see the guns on top of our ship right? Don't you think we would have at least tried fighting back instead of just surrendering? Heck, I'm even surprised your little group of three ships stood a chance against a Broadsword Combat Freighter. Are you all just stupid or just really overconfident?"

By the looks of surprise on their faces, they definitely weren't expecting the person who surrendered to start berating them.

The leader scowled, "You've got some guts bitch. If you really could handle us, why didn't you just shoot us down and let us board you instead?!"

I shook my head, "You guys really are stupid huh… Where did you think the other shop docked with us came from? We're letting you dock with us so we can get your ship fully intact to sell it for more Credits. It's worth more than just scraps after all. Anyway… I just thought to explain all that to you as a favour for giving us your ship in perfect condition so you can die now."

The leader opened his mouth to say something but I stretched out my hand towards him, exerting my will over him.

This was my first time trying to move someone so I was not sure what was going to happen. I was obviously not going to test this out on my girls so having these pirates show up was the perfect opportunity for me to test it out.

The leader suddenly stopped moving and I tried to lift him up like I was grabbing him with an invisible hand to lift him up.

But…

The leader let out a choked cry before his eyes popped out of its sockets and then his entire body got squeezed and exploded into a fountain of blood and broken electronic parts.

Ahhh… Whoops… Guess I used too much pressure…

The remaining four guys stared at the remains of their leader as I dropped the crushed corpse onto the ground.

Let me try the next guy~

I tried to lift the next guy and he screamed out in pain as his limbs were crushed against his body, his bones popping out of his skin in some places.

Crap… Am I really that clumsy? Guess I have to be more delicate when lifting up organic stuff…

I increased the pressure and the pirate also popped, joining his leader in death.

"P… Psionic!!" One of them screamed, turning around to try and run.

I mentally grabbed his leg to stop him from running, only to tear off his leg like it was made of tofu and sending the guy sprawling onto the floor, screaming in pain.

Really? Even this is too hard? Fine, I'll be even more delicate with the next guy.

I lifted up the fourth guy and this time I was really gentle with him.

The guy was lifted up and he didn't seem to be in pain aside from trying to struggle free but completely failing at it.

Success!!

Ah.

I got too excited there and the guy also exploded from me squeezing him too hard.

Well, I still have one guy left and he's charging right at me while shooting his ballistic rifle.

I wasn't too concerned since Renata was eating up all the bullets and none of it even came close to harming her.

Being extra careful this time, I froze him with my mental force, the guy stopping misstep and suspended in the air.

Great~ So this is the amount of force I need to use to stop someone without making them pop like a pimple.

I lifted this guy up and tossed him against the wall, expecting to just slam into it and stay there.

But what I got was him exploding into meat paste on the wall and painting it red.

What the fuck… Why are organics so fragile?

Guess I can't be using too much force to fling them around either… Or else these people are just more fragile than normal?

Oh look, there's still the guy with the missing leg, let me just take my halberd and slash it down on his head~
