Mara's brother looked up at his cousin in shock, the girl still holding her hand out towards him to hold him down on the ground.

"Cou… Cousin Eleanor?! What… What are you doing?!"

She didn't say anything and instead scooped another mouthful of the egg custard to bring it up to her lips.

She ate the egg custard with relish and I guess she really liked it.

Desmond was just stuck on the ground and not able to move while his cousin was just slowly enjoying the egg custard.

Feeling that he looked a little pitiful, I slid another cup of egg custard across the table and nodded at Mara.

She understood what I wanted immediately and lifted the egg custard up with her telekinesis to float it over to Desmond who was still on the ground.

He scowled at her, "What? Is this some kind of stupid peace offering or a bribe?"

"It is merely my Captain showing some generosity for someone undeserving like you. So be sure to thank her for her magnanimity."

"What are you even rambling about? Have you gone crazy? Do you think I will eat something that you--"

He didn't get to say anything else because Mara shoved a spoonful of the egg custard into his mouth.

He tried to spit it out but his eyes widened and he stopped moving completely, only to slowly start chewing on the egg custard that was inside his mouth.

The cousin who I believe was named Eleanor floated up into the air again and flew over to me, placing an empty cup on the counter and looking at me with anticipation on her face.

I guess she wants more?

"Take a seat," I told her, gesturing to the empty chair that used to be my seat.

She obeyed and flew over to sit down in the empty seat, still looking at me with a gaze filled with anticipation.

I went right back to cooking again while I turned to Merina, "Do you have more ingredients left? Maybe just give me two more servings would do."

She blinked and shook herself out of her stupor where she had been staring at me with wonder earlier before running off to do what I told her.

I picked up my tools again and looked at what else was leftover in the cart that Merina had brought earlier.

There's still some vegetables and mushrooms left in there so I took those out and started cooking them on the grill.

Desmond seemed to have been freed again because he got up from the ground and instead of running his mouth, he floated behind his cousin as though waiting for something.

I guess he also wants more food after tasting my egg custard.

I had the vegetables ready and served them to everyone once again, my girls eating them all up without a word of complaint despite the fact that they've probably eaten enough for three meals already.

No matter how much food I made, they would just eat them without leaving any leftovers behind.

Do they ever feel full? Or is there some kind of trick that can let them eat that much?

The two Nobles also ate their food without making a fuss, both of them making the same satisfied expressions as my girls.

Yeah… I guess they also got captured by my food… Not that I'm complaining I guess…

The staff and Merina who had been completely nervous and panicking about the two nobles' presence before quickly forgot about them and concentrated on eating the food I made. Even the two nobles in question also made no fuss about it and just enjoyed the food I was placing in front of them.

Since I was already full, I didn't eat but just cooked the ingredients that were brought to me and pretty soon, even that was empty.

Everyone let out a collective sigh of content as they basked in the afterglow of the food I made for them while I cleaned up after myself.

When a few minutes had passed, everyone sudden;y remembered that there were two nobles amongst them and turned to look at them.

Both of them were still in their food coma phase and it wasn't until someone let out a cough from the side did they remember where they were and returned their attention back to the present.

The cousin was the first to speak up as she looked at me from across the counter, "You… Who are you?"

I shrugged, "Just a Mercenary who likes to cook."

"That is… The best food that I have ever eaten… Even the food back at home could not compare to this and we have the best chefs that money can buy. Are you from the Inner Colonies?"

I shook my head, "Sorry to disappoint but no. I am from out here in the Outer Colonies."

Desmond suddenly pointed his finger at me, "You!! I remember you now!! You're that woman who was in that mixing competition!! You beat that four armed freak in that competition too!!"

Come on… Her name is Valiea and she's cooler than you, ok?

Obviously I wasn't going to say that out loud so I just nodded at him, "Yes. That was me as well."

"So my stupid sister was lying when she said that you were just some passer-by!! You took her under you, right?!"

I turned to Mara and she gave me a curt nod, indicating that it was fine for me to tell them.

I nodded, "Yes. I found Mara and recruited her as part of my crew. She's serving as my ship doctor at the moment."

"Do you even know who she is?!"

"Obviously? I had that run in with you, didn't I?"

He gritted his teeth, "You… You dare talk in that tone with me? Do you even understand that I'm a Noble you ignorant bitch?!"

Mara spoke up right then, "Hmm… I wonder if my stupid brother will ever be satisfied with food that isn't made by my Captain again? I suppose we can just make sure he is never allowed to touch Captain's food again."

His face immediately changed into a panicked expression and it looked like he was about to apologise before he sudden;y changed again.

"Ha… Ahahahaha! Cousin! Help me take this stupid sister down! We can capture this woman and bring her back with us to be our personal chef! I'll implant my chip into her and brainwash her into one of my puppets!"

Mara growled at him, "If you even dare to try… I will kill you right here and now."

Desmond ignored her and turned to the cousin instead, "Come on, cousin Eleanor!! With your help we can take her and everyone else!!"

Unexpectedly, the Eleanor woman was ignoring him in favour of staring at me silently, as though she was watching my every movement.

Realising that she wasn't saying anything, Desmond went to float in front of her, "Cou… Cousin?"

The auburn haired Psionic scrunched up her face when he entered her vision and she waved her hand, pushing the guy aside with her telekinesis before she rose up into the air.

She floated across the counter to stop in front of me and I was preparing to use my own telekinesis to protect myself when she spoke again.

"What's your name?"

Huh… So she's asking for my name now? Well… I suppose just to be safe…

"Aster," I lied to her, making that name up on the spot.

I don't know why that name just came to me but I didn't have time to question it and just threw it out the moment it came to my mind.

"Aster…" She muttered, as though tasting my name on her tongue.

Right then, she reached out a hand and cupped my cheek, a smile appearing on her face.

"You are interesting. I like interesting things. Why don't you come back with us and I will take you as my personal servant? I'll make sure you are properly taken care of and no harm will befall you. You'll live a life of luxury and privilege under me, how about that?"

"I'm sorry but I refuse. I do not intend to settle down anytime soon," I rejected her without hesitation.

She tilted her head slightly, "Really? You would turn down an invitation from a Noble? If it was anyone else, they would be pressing their heads on the ground and thanking me for this offer, you know?"

"Well, I am not anyone else. That's why you want me, right?"

"Hmmm~ That is true… Fufu… I suppose I could always take you by force, but you would not want to cook for me again if I were to do that, would you?"

"No."

Desmond butted in again, "That's why, Cousin Eleanor! Just take her back and I'll make her my puppet to cook for us!"

She turned to glare at him, "One more word from you and I will kill you, Desmond."

He immediately snapped his mouth shut.

Wow… So she's basically higher than him in the family hierarchy I see.

She turned back to me, her hand still cupping my cheek.

"Aster… Would you like to visit the Inner Colonies?"
