Despite Renata's assurance, Amber still felt that it would be best for me to be able to protect myself in the event of a fight between Psionics and insisted that I practice my abilities.

Well… It's not like I was intending to just rest on my laurels to begin with and was fully prepared to improve my control over my abilities anyway.

I did ask them about why Eleanor and Desmond suddenly became so compliant and Amber basically said that I overpowered them with my Psionic power.

Apparently that shield of mine showed them that they were inferior to me or something and they decided that it would be wiser to just surrender instead.

Well… As long as it works in our favour, I'm not complaining.

Mara also later added not to expect this to be the norm since most Psionics would rather just fight to the death than admit that there's a Psionic that was stronger than them.

So basically… Eleanor and Desmond were outliers amongst outliers.

The next day, things actually proceeded normally which was a big deal considering just what happened the previous day alone.

I woke up, had morning sex with my girls, went out to explore the city a little and do some shopping, stopped by an alleyway to have sex with a few of my girls, then grabbed some lunch at a nearby restaurant which… Turned out to be less than palatable so we ended up just fucking in the private room before we left that place.

Then we went to visit Merina since that was the only place we could think of that would let me cook and I took over the kitchen to make us a late lunch, Merina included.

I then spent the rest of the day giving Merina and also her other chefs some lessons and taught them how to make the seasonings while they were preparing for dinner service.

Then my girls took over the staff room at the back for us to have another orgy amongst ourselves while dinner service was going on and we only came out when it was closing time.

I made dinner for everyone and gave them another lesson before we returned back to the hotel and I fucked my girls until we passed out on the bed.

Yep… Just a normal day, nothing weird about it.

Then the day of the exhibition came around and we all geared up to head towards the location of the exhibition.

When we got to the hotel lobby, I realised the entire place was packed full of people, the crowd stretching from the doorway of the hotel all the way to the reception area.

Everyone was waiting for their transport to bring them to the exhibition area and even the cars seemed to be backed up all the way outside the hotel.

From here, the streets outside were also filled to the brim with pedestrians, almost like the population of the station quintupled overnight.

Damn… How are we even going to get anywhere?

Right then, my Codex started to ring and I lifted up my arm to see it was Merina calling me through her personal terminal.

I tapped on the screen to answer the call, prompting a screen with her face popping up.

"Teacher! Are you at the exhibition yet?" She asked, looking quite preppy for some reason.

"Err… No. I'm stuck in the hotel lobby right now… There's so many people trying to get out…"

"Hehe~ I thought that would be the case~ Please ask the staff at your hotel to let you go up to the roof, Teacher! I will have one of our cars come pick you up!"

"Oh, that would definitely be a big help!"

We did as she asked and I went over to the reception counter to get one of the staff to give them our request.

They were quite happy to help us and we got into the lift with one of the staff members, prompting it to send us directly to the roof.

When we got there, a rather familiar limousine was already parked on what could be a helipad and the vehicle scanned me before opening up to allow us inside.

Once again, we were treated to the luxury of being able to fly above the streets as the driverless limousine took off and flew towards our destination.

Originally, Mara had chosen this hotel due to its proximity to where the exhibition will be held but just looking out the window, I could see an entire sea of people crowding around the exhibition hall just a few streets down from where we were.

Damn… This is insane… I don't think there's that many people even in the most popular sports events and concerts back in my universe…

I wondered just where the car was going to drop us off when it flew directly towards the exhibition building, revealing there was a roof access and we weren't even the only ones to reach there via flying cars.

Our limousine joined a small line of vehicles that were landing on top of a landing pad to drop off their passengers. Seems like even with all the money and privilege, there's still a queue up here.

At least we weren't stuck in the crowd down there, I guess…

It took about a minute before it was our turn to alight, the limousine coming down to land on the platform and the door sliding open for us to disembark.

There were a few people dressed in smart looking uniforms there to usher us in and I assume they were staff members in charge of making sure things ran smoothly for this event.

One particular staff member, a woman with bright blue, shoulder length hair, walked up to welcome us.

"Good morning! Welcome to the annual Exo-Knight exhibition! May I see your invitation please?"

There's an invitation?

I turned to Mara and she did not disappoint, her personal terminal projecting a screen in front of her to show some kind of document that she let the staff member scan with her own personal terminal.

"Ah, Miss Tera and company! I have confirmed your invitation! Right this way please!"

She turned around and guided us in, allowing our limousine to fly off and allowed the next vehicle to land.

I made sure to send a thank you message to Merina for the help before we followed the staff member inside.

When we entered, we had to pass through a corridor that had floor length windows on one side of the wall showing the interior of the exhibition hall.

We were treated to the sight of various different Exo-Knights on display, most of them standing up while a few of them were in a crouched position.

All of them had different shapes and sizes with some having wheels or tank threads for legs and even a few that had four legs instead of two.

Some of them were sleek and smooth in design while others were blocky and tanky in shape.

Not only were there different Exo-Knights, there were also a multitude of different Exo-Knight weapons and equipment on display as well.

There were gauss cannons, laser emitters, missile pods, energy blades and even what looked like a pile driver.

Just the sight of everything below was enough to make me stop in my tracks to marvel at the sight below.

I wasn't the only one as several others had also stopped to take in the impressive sight of the exhibition hall and obviously the one that was most excited was…

"Boss!! Boss!! This is so cool!! Waaahhh! Look, look! That's the G-seven Verbartei model! Designed to withstand the pressure of diving into a planet's ocean!! And that one!! That's the M-Six Bunker Buster!! There were reports saying that it managed to crack open a moon once before!!"

I couldn't help but also feel anticipation welling up within me as I watched my cat girl press herself against the glass as she marvelled at the sight of the machines below.

So cute~

Our guide smiled at us, "Miss Tera? You don't need to worry, the light at the end of the corridor will bring you to the exhibition floor itself. Do note that since you have paid for the platinum invitation, you would be allowed exclusive access up to the platinum areas within the exhibition hall."

What? You are only allowed to visit certain areas of the exhibition based on your invitation?

Then again… Considering just how many people were outside… I guess that makes sense.

"What places are we not allowed to go to?"

"There are certain areas that are reserved only for special guests, Miss Tera. Those places would be blocked off for you. Don't worry! I will be your personal guide throughout your day in the exhibition so if there's anything that you are unsure about, I will be here to help you!"

Huh… So we get a guide with us as an extra too? That's nice… Though I'm not sure if that would even be necessary…

Well, enough of that! Let's get down there already!
